The Last Ace (12)

"Yu, how can you still be hung up on her? How bad do you want me to feel?" Upon hearing Su Yu's remarks, Mrs. Su felt like someone had pricked her heart with a needle.

"Come on, Mom, don't feel bad for me. Enjoy your life, okay? I know what to do."

"Yu, please stop waiting for her, okay? Mian already told you that even if her husband died, she would never marry you. Please move on, okay?" Mrs. Su tried to persuade Su Yu.

Even An, a bystander, couldn't help but feel bad.

Su Yu took another bite of corn and chewed slowly. "Mom, it's not that I don't want to, and I get where you're coming from, but… Forget it, can we talk about something else?"

Then, he fell silent. Placing down the corn on the cob, he stood up. "Mom, I need to go back to the company, I'll come to see you another time."

An immediately stood up and followed Su Yu out.

"Drive me home, then you can go home," Su Yu said in the passenger seat. He looked tired.
