Second Wave

While he was in deep thoughts, Toro saw the retreating monsters coming towards him.

Some were slightly injured while others have lost some parts of their body.

It was a horrifying scene.

Toro made a frown on his face and asked the monsters what happened back there.

After knowing what happened, he said with a commanding voice.

"That's probably their trump card and I don't believe they can do it for the second time! Get ready everyone! we will go full force this time!"

He analyzed the possibility of the lightning descending again and he came up with a conclusion that there's no chance they can use it again.

Even though the devilslave army was scared out of their minds, after calming down for a bit, they also thought there's no way the humans in Malaya Town can create a miracle again.

With these thoughts in their minds, the second wave of monsters started marching towards Malaya Town.

The people in Malaya Town was dumbfounded when they saw the monsters panicking while running away in fear.

They couldn't believe what happened. A few moments ago, they thought they were going to die but in just a split second, everything changed.

No one expected a ray of lightning would descend above them and annihilate all the monsters that were attacking the town.

Everything happened in just a few seconds so they couldn't process their thoughts properly.

"Master.."

Coco said in a low voice.

When he saw the lightning in the sky, he immediately thought of Ye Song. because there was a connection between them, he felt a familiar aura on the mysterious lightning that descended. Even though he was not sure how he did it, he was sure that it is related to him somehow.

The other pets from LEMONS also felt the same thing as Coco.

After calming down for a long time, the people started to jump wild in joy. this is probably the happiest moment in their lives. It felt like it was all just a dream.

This was the first time they saw that many monsters defeated in a single strike and ran away in fear.

But their happiness didn't last long.

As they were all heaving sighed of relief for being alive,

A cloud of dust appeared over the horizon. Even rain wouldn't be able to suppress this dust cloud in a short period of time. Countless armored monster soldiers rushed through the cloud of dust on beast mounts, and they all emitted thick killing intent.

A big Minotaur mounted on a large beast above the monster soldiers moved along with the army.

There were monsters with powerful gazes surrounding this Minotaur!

When the residents of Malaya Town saw the second wave of monsters, they were all dumbstruck!

They thought the nightmare was over but it seems like, it will haunt them down again!

While Toro and the devilslave army were marching towards the town, a silhouette suddenly appeared beside Toro.

A dark shadow monster about the same size as Toro walk alongside him and said.

"The Ammuts were all killed"

Hearing what the dark shadow monster said, Toro looked at him with a calm expression and nodded.

He already expected it.

It won't be easy to kill that kid or else why would God Yeti ordered all of them to hunt down an insignificant human.

The two discussed along the way as the monster soldiers rushed towards the town, everyone picked up their paces to reach the town But when they reached the gate, Toro frowned.

"Hm? Why aren't there any guards here??"

The dark shadow monster thought it was odd too. He then motioned the monster soldiers to hold their position and he slowly stepped forward to look around the place first.

Toro already told him about the lightning that almost completely wipe out the first wave they sent. That's why he was not being careless this time. They became alert and put their guards up.

"It's not just the guards," Toro spoke, "why aren't there any people here?"

Now that their group was fully in the town and could see the inside streets, they all noticed that not even a single person could be seen on the streets.

Not only that, they couldn't even sense any human in the buildings on the side of the streets.

"It's far too quiet…" the dark shadow muttered. Indeed, the town was extremely silent. Ever since they entered the town in fact, absolutely nothing could be heard.

Throughout the entire town, not even a single peep could be heard.

The dark shadow monster used his senses to the extreme as he searches the surrounding area.

"Why am I getting a bad feeling about this?? We haven't seen a single person yet, it feels like..."

Before he could finish what he wants to say,

"Wait, I found someone!"

He spoke up in excitement, "And a decent amount of people too. They are in the center of the city. everyone's over there."

Toro looked to where he was pointing at. With his own sense, he could hear several noises over there as well. With how weak they were, they were most likely just commoners, but there were also a few Chosens there too.

"Strange." He muttered, "Why is everyone there?"

"Heh, who cares? Why don't we look ourselves?" the dark shadow shrugged, "I want to see what they are planning. Let's go take a look."

It had been five minutes since they entered the town, and they had yet to come across a single person. "There's definitely people up ahead right, or am I sensing things wrong?"

"There's definitely people up ahead, and a whole lot of them."

As they walked, Toro was feeling a little uneasy about something. He then asked the dark shadow monster to check the area again but he was given an annoyed glance in return.

"You've already asked me this so many times. There's definitely a lot of people up ahead. They're all pretty weak, so they have to be commoners.

Toro didn't look convinced at that. "But that's what so strange about it!!" He exclaimed.

Two steps ahead of Dark shadow, Toro turned his head back.

"What's wrong?" He asked him.

Toro had been staring at a well just one hundred fifty meters away from the left of the gate the entire time. Looking back to the dark shadow monster when he was called out to, Toro shook his head and walked back, "It's nothing, I just felt something strange."

Hearing this, the dark shadow said to him. "The atmosphere here feels uncomfortable. But I can't tell what it is….Don't let your guard down."

Toro nodded and commanded all the monsters to continue down the streets to the center of the town.

At the bottom of the well Toro had just been staring at was a small body of clear water. Unmoving, the water was clear and calm enough to reflect the stars up in the sky on it.

Then, a series of bubbles started to form underneath. Popping as they reached the surface of the water, the bubbles began to pick up in quantity and churn the waters. Originally clear on the surface, the water began to turn cloudy blue….

"Blip blip blip…."

Even more bubbles started to form now. A blue dragon figure rose out from the water for a moment before submerging itself back into the depths….
