Discovery And Cultivation Technique

On the training ground of the Silvermoon family household sounds of someone performing intense training could be heard. There was a table and chair for three of which two of them had a middle aged man and a beautiful lady sitting on. They were sipping the morning tea and chatting with each other, from time to time they were looking at the one doing the training and discussing about it.

The man had broad shoulders, his eyes sharp and his body robust. But his face had a loving expression whenever he looked at the lady beside him. The lady on the other hand was a beauty beyond compare, it wasn't because of her facial features which were just above average but it was the charm of her nature. Her eyes reflected care and kindness, her smile could make a dying man forget about his pain, she was the idle woman, a caring mother and a loving wife.

They were none other than Alfons and Erna Silvermoon, father and mother to Adrian Silvermoon who was the one currently training and showing his parents his improvements.

"My son is the best, his moves are already befitting of a practiced low tier qi novice in just a few days. Can you see it alfons? He really is a genius, right?" Erna's eyes were shinning when she was looking at her son, for her none could compare to her son. He was the apple of her eye.

Alfons could only shake his head and smile at her. "Dear, it's 'our' son and don't let it get over his head. He is truly blessed with talent for cultivation but at his age he should not become satisfied or too proud of himself or his future will be limited." Saying this he took another sip of the tea.

Erna didn't even seem to hear him at all "Its fine dear, my son is very wise and mature, his will is much stronger than his vanity so you don't have to be so strict with him." Saying this she took the teapot and started filling Alfons cup.

Alfons didn't refute her as he knew what his wife said was right as well. Sighing inside he decided to go through what Erna suggested as he continued watching Adrian's practice.

Adrian who didn't know that his parents were talking about him was at the time engrossed in his practice. On the day of his heart core formation, he ate his fill and rested the whole night followed by meditation and light exercises for a week, only after that was he allowed to practice training.

All these days, he hadn't neglected his cultivation. Everyday he would set time for the Aqua wave breathing technique to circulate qi through his body in hopes of getting even the slight benefit he could get from it. Of course without a suitable technique for cultivation to properly absorb and utilize the qi circulating in his body, it wasn't of much help other than rejuvenating him.

Nonetheless, he wasn't going to sulk over it. So, to make the best use of the time, he decided to continue his practice even harder now that he wasn't easily tired like before due to the qi circulating in his body.

There was one thing different however. That night after he became a qi Novice, he had a strange dream where he was in a crowded place large enough with almost ten thousand people. They were all dressed in weird outfits which he had never seen. It seemed like they were jumping and shouting. Looking ahead he could see a tall platform where five people were performing some kind of ritual with different artifacts in their hands. Their hairs were longer and scattered, the corner of their eyes were covered with dark circles, they looked quire scary and intimidating.

One of them was shouting at the artifact, other was beating the artifact with some stick, then another one was banging his head up down up down continuously like he couldn't stop doing it. It was crazy and out of this world.

But there was something that separated this dream from being a total nightmare and that made it the best dream he ever had. It was the sounds, the voice and the music which was extremely loud and intense. The voice was hoarse, not coming from the mouth but directly from the throat. He didn't think someone could shout with such ferociousness and intensity.

He woke up the next day with a strong headache. The voices and music was constantly buzzing inside his mind. He couldn't forget about it. It took him a while to meditate and calm his mind.

Although he was upset about having such a dream at first but not for a long time. A few days later he found a perfect use for the voices in his mind. He would recite them whenever he was practicing or training even if he didn't understand them, which he found was great help with his training. He even found the quantity of minuscule qi his body was absorbing through his blood was increased when he was using this way to train.

Today he was applying the same method of repeating the music and voices in his mind while training, he'd already done it so many times that this was happening in his mind automatically whenever he was practicing and wouldn't interfere with his thoughts.

[WHEN THE PRIEST COMES TO READ ME THE LAST RITES..]

He took a step forward with his left leg and rammed his side towards an wooden pole.

"Bam!" [I TAKE A LOOK THROUGH THE BARS AT THE LAST SIGHTS...]

Then he took a step back again and quickly whipped out his left leg to kick the pole.

"Thawk!" [OF A WORLD THAT HAS GONE VERY WRONG FOR MEEE...]

He didn't stop even for an instant for rest. He crouched with both legs, applied pressure and jumped high landing right on top of the wooden pole with his right foot.

"Hup...Swoosh.. phwack!" [CAN IT BE THAT THERE"S SOME SORT OF ERROR..]

Adjusting his hands sideways to balance on one leg, he crouched and jumped again, this time he flipped in air and landed on top of pole with his palm, his body upside down.

"Yeeaaahhhh!" [HARD TO STOP THE SURMOUNTING TERROR..]

Taking a few quick breaths, he put force to his arms and bent them a little to push himself up again for a jump.

"Swoosh!!" [IS IT REALLY THE END AND NOT SOME CRAZY DREAAAMMMM???]

He landed on the ground and stood straight. Closing his eyes, he could feel the intense combination of the music so loud that he felt his heart sync with the sounds of the beating artifacts.

"Alright, that's enough for now Adrian. Take a break and hear out what I have to say!!"

His concentration broken, the music and voices stopped. Turning around he saw his father and mother approaching him. He walked towards them, his mother handed him a towel which he used to clean his face and neck off of sweat and dirt.

Face red, he was slowly able to slow down his breathing and thank his mother before speaking to his father.

"Father, I think I have more than stabilized my base, I feel strong enough to practice twice more than I used to and I can feel my overall strength has increased by a lot."

He declared proudly maintaining the eye contact with confidence.

"Good. You've worked hard I can see that. But remember what I keep telling you, it is never enough, you think you are the only one working hard and progressing. Smith's son had also had a successful heart core formation. He is much more stronger than before and you know better how hard working he is. If you get ahead of yourself and slack off, he might leave you behind someday."

Alfons reminded Adrain and tried to use his friend as an example to let him know that there are always others who can be better than him. He knew the young are always careless, but hopefully he gets it sooner than later through a big setback.

"Yes, father. I'll be careful about it" Adrian was happy his father approved of him. He didn't mind about the advice as he knew his father was the most strong in this town and whatever he said would be best for him. He still didn't think he needed to think about it that hard as he was sure that he can beat all his peers.

"You're doing fine my son. What your father says is true but don't forget to take rest as well. Come spend time with your mother from time to time, I can also give you advice on cultivation." Saying this she took his head on her hands and kissed him on the forehead.

Adrian slightly embarrassed by this rebuked shyly - "Mother, I'm no longer a child, please stop doing this, its really embarrassing."

"Hehe, aww you're so cute." Erna giggled seeing her son acting shy. For her, it was always a wonder to see this side of him.

His father suddenly brought out a scroll from inside his robe and handed it to him. "Take this! This scroll contains the best cultivation technique for the Qi Novice stage in our clan. Its called the [Tearing Moon Burning Sky] art. This was the technique which made our ancestor famous throughout the empire. His journey as the dominating captain of the army started with this technique."

Adrian was excited beyond belief. His hand was shaking as he took the scroll, he wanted to open it right away but restrained himself for doing so.

"Go now and try to learn the technique yourself. Only if you encounter any problems can you come to either me or your grandfather for help." Then as if remembering something important he added " Remember, cultivation is not just for the body but your mind as well. So you must train your mind and body together. This is also a hint for you."

Adrian gave a respectful bow to both his parents and went to his room in a hurry to check the scroll he just received. He could her her mother speak loudly behind him.

"Don't forget to shower and eat something before you start anything."
