As Kewang Yun touched the crystal, there was a tremendous low rumbling that went into the rest of crowd's ears.
Unlike the others, the crystal instantly and powerfully reacted, this was like his eldest brother's reaction, which none today had achieved! It was more though, it caused the air to visibly ripple, and the ground quake.
As the rumbling that sounded like it was a fight against the heavens continued, there was a bright golden light that seeped from the crystal.
In the crowd, that was in shock and awe there was a man. This man was in a dark cloak and seemed to not surprised at all, but there was a tiny smirk on his lips. "After all this time, the city of hidden dragons will give birth to another mega genius."
After he finished, he transformed into a blur, and all of a sudden disappeared as if he was never there. Little did the people of Lotus City know, that this was going to be the pivotal moment in the history of their 'grand city.'
As the bright golden light continued to seep, there was a raging figure in it. It looked like a monstrosity!
"What is that!" Someone shouted.
"I don't know, it looks evil!"
The patriarch had a look of pride on his face. It was clear what he was thinking, "This is my son, he has even more natural talent than his eldest brother!"
Instantly, most of the clan made a mental note not to anger the Young Master Yun, because he was obviously going to be a great existence in the future.
Looking up at Kewang Yun with a bright face Kewang Tian's face lit up. That must be at least a level 11 Martial Spirit!
A level 11 Martial Spirit, what kind of existence was that? Only 1 in a thousand people could awaken a martial spirit, and the odds got increasingly greater for each stage increasing by x5, so the odds of awakening this kind of martial spirit are 1 over 40 billion!
Those immortal sects in the outside world would kill to get this kind of disciple even the upper echelons, that truly transcend!
He could even marry the daughter of some powerful sect master, as selective breeding is often part of the process of passing on higher grade martial spirits to your descendants, and increases the likelihood of your children having a higher grade spirit.
So for example, if two people with level 7 martial spirits, had a child, it wouldn't be possible for that Childs martial spirit to be under a level 6 martial spirit, and it would be likely that it would be a level 7 or higher!
This always troubled Kewang Tian, as he knew that his mother's martial spirit wasn't high, and he didn't even know his father so it couldn't be determined what level his martial spirit would be.
He was always happy with the thought of it being over a level 4, as long as it had an okay attribute!
As Kewang Tian was thinking this over with a worried and nervous face turned to shock, as the awakening crystal started to send out pulses of bright light, blinding to each and everyone in the hall.
The Waves started to shake the cities very foundations, and then suddenly BANG! The crystal shattered!
The onlookers had both looks of amazement and horror! First, what power was required to break this kind of crystal! It was granted to the Kewang Clan back when the Clan was first established, handed down by the ancestors!
Secondly, this was an artifact, that was extremely rear handed down by a Clans ancestor, and he destroyed it!
The Kewang Clan would have to sell most of their estates in the city to buy another one from somewhere else, and that was if they were willing to sell, these stones were precious to each and every Clan.
For heaven's sake, wars have been fought to obtain awakening crystals if there of high enough quality! But today this happened!
The members of the clan didn't know whether to laugh or to cry. The Grand Elder's and Patriarchs faces were turning ashen, and pink with happiness at the same time.
"Cough, Cough. The 1379th annual shall be ended here! It has been a fine showing; I hope you a become pillars Kewang Clan in the future, and shine brighter than the over clans." The voice of the Patriarch resounded through the hall, with a heart full of pride.
As everyone started to leave the hall, people were clamoring to congratulate the worthy victor, as they were shower Kewang Yun with glory and praise, he was just trying to squeeze through the crowd to get back to his hut!
After about three hours of interrogation, fawning and swooning from the girls of the Clan and countless marriage proposals, he was finally able to free himself from the hoard of people that swarmed him.
When he got back to his hut Kewang Tian was waiting there for him. "The valid victor has finally arrived then." Kewang Tian said with a great big grin, that made him look silly.
Kewang Yun retorted, "Please, your only happy that Kewang Feng isn't going to bully you!"
Kewang Tian's face went bright red as he scratched his nose. "Well, has your farther congratulated you yet?" he asked in an inquiring voice.
"No, but I'm afraid I'm going to be in a beating of a lifetime. That awakening crystal was a relic of the clan, yet I broke it! I'll be lucky if they don't kick me out of the clan." Kewang Yun said with an ashen face.
"You don't have to worry about it." Kewang Tian smirked.
"Your father is probably planning on one of the other three Clans, or maybe even the city lord to give you a new one as a congratulatory gift, or tribute." Kewang Tian patted him on the shoulder and gave a sigh.
"You better not let that bitch Kewang Feng, bully me from now on. I tell you she has it out for me. She hit me over the head, with the hilt of a sword the other day. Before running away." Kewang Tian pointed to a lump under his silvery hair, with a sad face, that slightly resembled a grumpy cat.
"You may be smart, but you're not a people person are you…" After saying this he flicked the lump on his head, causing him to flinch. He then opened his door chuckling and slammed it in Kewang Tian face.
Holding his head, and rubbing is, Kewang Tian walked back to his room, muttering "No sympathy," and cursing at him on the way back to his small little apartments in the hut.
