Battle

Working on my papers I felt vibrations reverberate through the building of the castle. With that excitement rose into the air and a murderous ora mixed into the air like a smoking fire. With that, I stood up and left the room. Once I exited the office the hallway was filled with many people wearing armor over uniforms that looked like what they once were maid and butler outfits. Protruding from some of their backs was dragon wings, fairy wings, raven wings, and bone wings.

All armored up they were ready for battle. Standing up in the front stood the second prince Konrad. As he stood he held the ora of a king. Now I see why the Demon King is most likely to chose him, he is oppressing in his own right. With power hopefully, there will be strength otherwise we have a cocky person on our hands. Very quickly I left the hallway and entered my room. As to not watch something stupid or serious happens.

With that as soon as I entered my room I removed my clothes and walked to a chest in the middle of the room covered with 20 locks. While I was walking to the chest my back started to bulge and my horns grew to the size of a foot. Slowly walking a cracking sound came from my back with tearing sounds wings sprung from my back. My wings which are the size of a full-grown man spread out. My wings blood red looked like bat wings with horn spikes on them. and with my final step, It looked as if I shed my skin like a snake. Stepping out of my skin I looked like a full grown woman in her 20's and my skin was now pure white. Kneeling down I pressed my hand to the chest and all the locks burnt up and became molten pools on the floor. slowly and steadily the molten metal flowed up my body and covered me in armor. Slowly the metal cooled and I looked like as if I was in a leotard and leggings with a spiked fighting wrist brace.

Slowly I looked into the chest and grabbed a draping cloak I set it on the ground beside me. Reaching in I grabbed my weapon a scythe. With that, I draped the cape over my back and headed out. With a pep in my step, I opened the door. Listening I heard the prince finish his announcement he said something like "... Win and do not fail the kingdom." That was all I heard from his speech when everyone roared like giant wild cats. Too loud, why do they have to do that? *Boom*

With that, Konrad looked behind himself and saw six people standing behind him. That's when he roared, "Fight!" With a battle cry, everyone jumped on those six people. Trying to crush them by force, but even with brute force, they were pushed back by those humans. That's when I looked up and saw something that sent terror to my core. Trembling I ran to Konrad then I flew up and blocked a blade that was flying to him. *Crash* With the force of the blade I was sent flying. Blood dripped from my lip and pain shot up my back. Coughing, Konrad looked at me with shock knowing that I had saved him. Looking over to where the attack came from he trembled with anger and fear and yelled, "ANGLE!!!"

Looking at Konrad the angle seemed to float above him. With wings that seemed to glow the angle spoke with a low voice, "Its' Ario I am not like other lowly angles." With that the details of his figure became visible. A halo above his head glowed red like the sunset and eyes that shone like the sea if he wasn't an angle I would have found him an intriguing man. For his looks are more devastating and the most handsome of men would not compare to him. He wore a suit that looked like one for a butler though rather than black and white it was gold and black. With that, he looked away from Konrad and looked at me with eyes of disgust and interest. As quick as a snap he appeared before me. He looked at me like as if I was a specimen and he a scientist. That look gave me the shivers and that was when he spoke, "I'm surprised you are in one piece that attack would have killed a normal demon. To what end are you able to handle my attacks trash?" With that I snapped and stood back up even though the pain was unbearable I kept a straight face.

Me - "If I was trash would I not have survived?"

Ario - "You survived, but you are still trash."

Me - "Well if I am trash you are scum."

Ario - "What?"

Me - "S.C.U.M because your looks are the exact opposite of what comes out of your mouth."

Ario - "I know what you said..."

Me - "As if that's true if you truly understood then why did you ask."

Ario - "I wanted to verify if you were provoking me."

Me - "I was"

Ario - "You just signed your death warrant!"

Slashing down at me with his sword I blocked his attack again this time though I suffered no injury. Snickering, I decided to provoke him some more.

Me - "Giving into your emotions I see. Worthless angle if I didn't know better I'd say you have no control of your emotions. That can't be true right? Since you aren't like other lowly angles."

Ario - "Lowly trash shut your mouth or I'll shut it for you."

Me - "I'd like to see you try."

Looking behind Ario I signaled to Konrad to sneak away. He is Ario's target and it would be pointless for me if I have to keep an eye on him and fight Ario. Looking at me like as if I was an idiot Konrad turned around. With that, he saw human soldiers coming in so he started to fight them. While he did so he got further away. Knowing he was at a distance I slashed up with my scythe so that I can remove Ario's blade from coming down on me. With that Ario seemed upset and spoke, "Don't fight me distracted." Slashing doing multiple jabs at me he sliced my exposed skin slightly causing me to slide back and hit the wall. Being cornered on the ground I did a double take and few up trying to get away from the wall. Temporarily I did get away from the wall, but only to be forced back to the wall. With a sword pointed at my artery in my neck and a hand choking me I was in a little bit of a pickle.

My feet dangling and my wings pinned down I knew that I needed to escape or at least adjust so that I am the one on the safe side. With the way, things are I will die without even putting up that big of a fight. Then I would be all bark no bite. Hating that fact I lifted up my scythe and put the blade against Ario's neck. Whispering at that moment I said, "Oh little Ario, ain't this the predicament?" Looking at me like as if I was possessed Ario dug his blade along the side of my neck. With that, he asked, "Do you have a death wish?" Snickering I mumbled, "I might, or I might not you'll never know." Growling words under his breath he said something from what I could tell it sounded like he said, "Minx."

With that even though my wings were pinned to the wall I shoved myself away from the wall. Sending us falling to the floor. In the process, we both almost hit several demons along the way. I also almost got stabbed once or maybe 5 times. Alright, I did get stabbed, but it didn't hit any vital spots. Slowly bleeding from my side Ario loosed his grip on my neck in order to block the attacks of other demons while we were falling. *Boom* Landing on the ground with his back he maneuvered so that my scythe didn't cut his head off. On his lap, I quickly grabbed a dagger from my waist and tried to stab him. Quickly he grabbed my wrists and threw me off of him. Slamming my back against the floor next to him he then threw me across the room. With that, I spread my wings and shot myself back to him and punched him in the face. When I punched him he was getting back up when I hit him he fell over.

Worn down I almost passed out. looking down I realized I've been cut deeper than I thought. With that, my vision blurred and I dropped my scythe. Trying not to fall over I started to pant like an exhausted dog. Looking up I saw Zanalost fighting against 7 soldiers at once. He looked like a hero emerging victorious, but he is no hero he is a demon. With that, I tumbled over my vision darkening. That's when Ario leaned over me looking at my face with a disappointed look he said, "So you were done in by an attack that wasn't mine."

Snickering I said with a broken voice, "I'm not done yet." Slowly my skin and body returned to its original size causing surprise to Ario. That's when Zanalost turned and noticed me kneeling over and bleeding in front of the angle. Reaching down I quickly grabbed my scythe and threw it at the soldiers surrounding Zanalost killing them instantly. With that my scythe flew back to me. Catching it in my hands I slashed down on Ario, but before I could cut him in half he stabbed me through the heart. With that, I was surprised that's when I smiled and said, "I still cut you." With that, he fell over and coughed up golden blood. Slowly I knelt down my and noticed my blood is black. I knew I only had but a moment to live. So I looked at Zanalost and saw him fighting his way to me. Thinking to myself whispered with my final breath, "Silly it's too late, but thank you even if it is for a moment you really are a ray of hope for me." With that darkness fell upon me with the sounds of screaming and a dead angle beside me. With a final breath, I mumbled, "A... tie... huh?" With that, I could see no more, hear no more, think no more.

Zanalost: I knew someone was battling the angle. I just... didn't realize that it was Pink. Until it was too late. I was fighting against 7 very talented soldiers. Before I heard a boom I knew in that instant that it was the sound caused by the fight with the angle. I looked over and realized that a mature demoness was holding a scythe but missed the angles head. In that instant, I knew that the demoness was trying to kill the angle while sacrificing herself. The reason why she would die cutting off his head is simple. His halo instantly kills the one who damages it. So the way the halo is it hangs low enough to cover the back of the neck. It would be impossible to cut off his head just by swinging you would have to force him to land on the sword himself. In the end, you would still die. With that, I kept fighting the soldiers only causing injuries to few. A short while later that woman's scythe flew at the 7 soldiers that I was having difficulty with and killed them instantly. Looking in the direction that the scythe was soaring back to that's when I realized something. The demoness is Pink. Her skin was pale and she was kneeling down in her own blood which was turning from red to black. Instantly I knew in order to save me she wasted precious time and killed the men surrounding me. With that, I saw her catch the scythe and slash down onto the angel's shoulder only causing a nick. Before she could completely kill him she got stabbed through the heart. Instantly she slightly smiled and that is when the angle fell over bleeding from his mouth was pure gold. He was dead That is when she muttered something to me then she slightly looked down and said a little bit more and died. Without realizing it I was trying to fight my way to get closer to her.

Looking over at her body Konrad swore she would have a burial worthy of a queen. While muttering under his breath, " You will be remembered." With that, he continued to kill the humans while thanking the girl he did not know from deep within. Alongside him stood Malik who was fighting not to far away from him while having a greaving look on his face when he saw that little girl die. Her death will be mourned. With that, they all fought to kill the humans who brought the angle to the kingdom. Which caused that girl's untimely death. Causing the death of their savior. A little girl who sacrificed herself to prevent the death of many including the second prince.
