2.2 Poor Hui Xinling

Hui Xinling was a girl that was born in a middle-income family; she had a working mother and father, but they still got time to have a healthy relationship with each other ordinary family.

She was not the most intelligent nor was she at the bottom. She was the definition of average. That is with the exception of the arts. Since little, she expressed a liking towards the arts and her parents supported her; however, as she was an average, her artistic talent was also average.

It had been a lot of times through her life that she almost gives up on the arts, but by some way or the other she regained her passion and continued in the art path, and even when she told her parents that she wanted to go to a college of arts, they did not reproach her; they even supported her.

Her dream university was Meishu University, but she was realistic, so she applied to more affordable universities. It was not until her art teacher of high school told her that she had a friend that worked on admissions and could let her take the exam for free that she went for it.

Hui Xinling knew that even if she was able to enter that school, her family would not be able to afford the expensive tuition, so she only went with the mentality of seeing if she had what it could take to be able to enter that prestigious school.

To her surprise, she was able to get first place and obtain a full scholarship. She was so ecstatic when she found out. She could not wait to tell her parents, but when she arrived home what was not expecting was her too-much-in-love parens fighting.

When she asked what was the problem, the answer was that her father was fired that day from work. It was not like he made a mistake on something at his work, no he was really meticulous with his work and was a hard worker. The problem was that his daughter, Hui Xinling, had beaten the company secret princess that is right.

Hui Xinling's father was working for a well-known technology company as a programmer, and that company is supposed to be owned by a bachelor that does not have any heir nor have any offsprings but that is only what they have told the public.

In reality, he had a couple of children here and there. He acknowledged some and ignore another some, but his treasure was a daughter that he had with a pretty distant relative of his.

She was fascinated with the-Prince-taken-out-of-a-painting-made-by-himself from Ya company, so he used his money and influence to get this hands on the questions that would be on the entrance exam of Meishu University which is also the university the Prince is going to attend by invitation, but not even with the written exam already on her pocket could she beat Hui Xinling on the practical exam giving her the second place which also gave her an scholarship but not a full one.

She was mad and when to complain with her daddy that some 'slut', as she said, had stolen her painting for the practical exam. He was mad and went to the school to demand justice for her precious daughter. How come just some random thing from the street could steal her precious daughter painting and ranking and there would not be any kind of repercussions to her?

An investigation took place and what was found out was that 'that street thing' had not stolen anything, in fact, the one that stole was his own daughter and for the friendship that they had with him they just turned to the other side.

The CEO pretended that everything was fine now, but he began to investigate that Hui Xinling, and he found out that her father was working for him there is when he thought of a way to get revenge for his lovely daughter.

Now Hui Xinling's family was out of a source of income and the stability that was once in her house was thrown out the window.

She at first decided to stop her education and just begin to work, but her mother was not ok with that idea. She wanted that her daughter to at least graduate from college, but her dad wanted her to begin working since he was banned from the companies that match his skill level by his ex-boss.

Hui Xinling wanting to bring back the atmosphere that was once in her house told her parents that she would renounce to the scholarship at Meishu University and go for another school that she got a partial scholarship and change her major to something to do with business so to get a well-paid job easier.

At first, they agreed with her, but as the time to enter classes was getting nearer, the tension once again stormed the family and it came with more intensity.

The couple did not want to make their daughter forget their dreams because of them, and after weeks of discussions and fights, one morning they disappeared.

Now with no one to rely on and nothing to care for. Hui Xinling decided to go for Meishu University after all. There she just needs to keep a good record to maintain her full scholarship that includes housing and food.

She was sad since she was left to fend for herself but she thought that because she was doing the thing that she liked she could once again regain the happiness that she lost, but things did not change to the better.

Hui Xinling forgot that that little princess also was there. She took for mission make Hui Xinling's life miserable. She stole her painting again and again, bullied her, used to make her look good, and even recurred to physical abuse. Hui Xinling was devasted but she did not want to give up just yet, and that could be seen in her paintings. With more abuse by that little princess, she had gone through the more realistic and more beautiful her paintings became which made that presumptuous princess even more jealous and made her bullying increase by several folds.

It was not until one day that she created the masterpiece of her life that captured the sorrow that she felt and had been feeling since her parents left her, the pain and the embarrassment that she had to go through, and the happiness and hopes that she once felt.

After she finished painting that she hanged herself and ended her life, but not even in the death could she receive the recognition that she deserved.

That princess was the one that found her. At first, she was shocked to see a hanging dead human been, but shortly after she saw the painting she was ecstatic. The creator is now dead, so she could say that she was the one that made it, be famous, and even be nearer her goal of reaching her prince. She used her authority as her daddy's daughter to dispose of her body.

"...Then is that also the reason that I passed out?"

Wei Guiyin asked without the intention of actually wanting to know.

Actually, Wei Guiyin was anxious to try and paint since in her original world she was always so busy with her work that she never got the chance to try it.
