Come Now, Daxin.

The clan rejoined one another in the main hall after the attacker was bound and placed in a room under guard. They would interrogate him later, but for now they needed to focus on the immediate issue at hand. Kyera had finally taken a seat at a table, clovis on her left but Racer and Oslo stood quietly at her back. Both seemed a bit frustrated to be honest.

"Are you sure you are okay?" Daxin asked looking Kyera over curiously. She seemed to have lost a little weight, which in all honesty he hadn't expected. There was news that seemed to point toward her getting along well in the palace. Perhaps, that wasn't as true as it appeared?

"Oh not you too. Come now, Daxin you know my tolerances. Yes it hurts, No I'm not so weak as to need a rest after such a small bit of spilled blood. You know as well as I do that the conversation we need to have can no longer be put off. The cat is free of the bag and we must now keep the mice from reacting in fear." Kyera reminded him frowning at his over protective nature. She could tolerate it from Clovis, it was kinda cute really. However from her elder, it just seemed like needless fuss.

"Alright then, let me be the first to say What the hell are you thinking?" Daxin replied changing demeanor almost instantly. Clovis looked at him in shock but Kyera sighed.

"I am doing what is best for our people. You know as well as I do that going back to the forest and living quietly is no longer a option. We will all die. We need to assimilate into the human culture, and try to help them understand us so we have a half chance at survival." Kyera Reasoned. She was finally to the point of laying all her chips out on the table. These people saw nothing but fear. She would have to remind them of who she is.

"Kyera, we can go to Mordrin. He will take us in without you needing to marry anyone." Daxin pointed out and a few of the other shifters nodded in agreement. They knew they could trust Mordrin. That needled Clovis deep in his chest. Why did they trust his brother in law but not trust him?

"I do not want my people abandoning their home land because of my family." Clovis replied instantly. He couldn't imagine being forced to leave this forest for the dark lands of Shadow Veil. The beauty of that land was matched only by the venom of its beasts.

"OH? Your people now are we? Were we your people when your great grandfather launched a war on us? Were we your people when My sister were killed? Were we your people when that mark was burned onto Kyera's chest?" The Monkey Elder demanded anger in his eyes. There was only so much he could tolerate and this was pushing his limit. Once again Clovis looked at her pain in his eyes. He was lost and worried.

"First off, I am not my Great Grandfather. Nor and I my Grandfather. I am sorry for your sister as I said before but if we can't move past the mistakes of my elders, there will be no future for either of our people. Kyera… What mark are they talking about?" He demanded honestly needing to know at this point. It was the second time they had brought this up and thrown it in his face as though he had chose to hurt her. Kyera frowned and stood.

Taking a step back she whispered to the shadows and they parted the fabric at her waist. As is opened and her spell fell away he could see what looked like a burn in her stomach and wrapping around her rib cage. It glowed a brilliant red as it irritated and blackened the skin beneath it. Kyera frowned and looked away as he stared at it openly shocked. He reached out gently tracing a corner of the magic mark.
