Kyera's voice seemed to shake the very ground they stood on. Fire, anger, injustice built in her words. She walked over and grabbed Feya's arm and spun her the same way she did earlier. "This is the entirety of what I did. Look at the bruise if you don't believe me. I will not sit here and listen to myself be slandered." she threw Feya away from her and faced the two Emperors.
"How dare you!" The Queen growled and Kyera turned to her.
"I am not going into the How dare yous with you again. I think I made it clear who won that." Kyera sighed almost board of her. Queen Kira wasn't even a match for the Hyenas.
"Kyera I understand your frustration but you must control yourself." The Emperor tried to calm Kyera down. She sighed, a wide grin crossing her face. Those normally golden pools raised to meet his, their stark silver color hinting at just how much she was holding back.
"Your Majesty, all due respect, but no I do not. I have been attacked on your land and accused as the aggressor by your Queen. I have no reason to trust you or anyone who works with you. Out of respect for the Empress and Clovis I have stayed my hand. That will not last much longer." Kyera warned him cooly. Everyone in the room felt a chill radiating off of her. Mordrin was honestly smiling, this was the Princess he knew the fire he remembered.
"If only there was proof. No one saw what happened other than the maids who swear you are lying. Prove your innocents." The Queen offered as though she was too hasty. "Princess Kyera, I applogize. I let my emotions rile me into action before I had much time to think. With three loyal witnesses saying you did and only your word you did not it makes it hard to believe you." she seemed to be begging for some understanding but in truth she was simply trying to save face in front of the Shadow Veil Royals.
"Who said there were no witnesses? I have been yet to be allowed to speak. I was climbing the trees in the garden when Feya started this mess. May I speak?" Alexi asked frowning as he stared at the queen. This was the type of scheming he himself had suffered and watched his younger siblings suffer because of her.
"Speak, Fair Prince Alexi. Finally someone impartial!" Mordakai's approval drown out whatever response the Queen or Emperor had made. It was clear the lord was TIRED of how this court was being run.
"It happened as Kyera said only what she wasn't aware of was Feya and the maids discussed how to make things difficult on her before she ever approached her. Feya raised her hand to strike Kyera and Kyera pinned her. It was self defense from arrogance. Those maids ran off screaming in terror while Feya struggled and effectively bruised her own wrist." Alexi replied, not in the mood to over elaborate. The Queen glared at him. It was clear now whose side his hand rested when it came to the crown. Alexi didn't care anymore about safety, he wanted justice.
"I see. So it is true then, we wronged Kyera." The Emperor decided. Between the single bruise and Alexi's words nothing else made sense. Either Kyera was extremely cunning or she had been smart enough not to fight this battle. "The two maids will be beaten soundly, Two hundred lashings for their forked tongues. Feya will have fifty lashings and be confined to quarters without a pre approved escort till further notice."
The maids cried out in fear both falling to their knees at Feya's side.
"My lady we have always been faithful save us…" Cried the younger maid while the older began to weep as well.
"We won't survive… we can't take that." the elder maid begged and in truth, she was right. This was a death sentence for their lies, no question about it. Kuera almost felt guilty… almost.
"You must take the punishment for the mess you got us all into." Feya replied cruelty. There was a cold anger in her eyes.
Kyera watched as the guards drug the two maids away. She turned back to the Emperor her heart getting the better of her.
