"THAT'S IT!" Lynn unknowingly exclaimed, making the everyone turn around to see what's happening
Ahh why did I... >< Lynn you're a dumbass!
So Lynn is usually the quiet and attentive student in class, never once did she interrupt the lesson like today. Thus, everyone was surprised and amused to hear her voice in class.
"Yes, Lyn, have something to say?" old mrs Greggs asked with a hint of anticipation
"uhh.. your hair is very...nice" Lynn can't help but blurt out since she was at a loss for words and the only thing she saw was Greggy's hair.
The class burst out laughing except for Devon. He remained nonchalant and carried a sombre expression on his face as usual, emitting a demonic aura that made Lyn shuddered.
"Oh why, thank you!" mrs Greggs replied, a hint of surprise at Lyn's words, sending the class into fits of giggles yet again.
" Stop laughing! What's so funny about a compliment? Anyway today I'm going to teach a new topic.."
Lynn: Phew! I thought I will be dead meat after saying that. But ahhh that was a chance to request a change of seats! Oh well seems like i have to try harder..
"And now, do the pair work with your partners!" mrs Greggs words cut Lyn's train of thoughts, shocking her. In fact, she wasn't even paying attention to the lesson and didn't know what she was supposed to do.
He seems distant, it wouldn't hurt to talk...right?
"Umm.. what are we supposed to do?" Lynn asked, her face turned red and she was afraid to look at Devon in the eye as it was her first time not listening in class and having to ask a demon for help. How embarrassing!

a few moments passed but Devon never reply
"Umm never mind I'll ask someone els-"
"Discuss what you think of the situation in the book, page 333"
Just as Lyn thought Devon would not reply, a deep nasal voice reached out to her, shocking Lyn.
After all, Devon rarely talk so she kinda expected his voice to sound scary since he had the nickname "Demon". However, the voice that she just heard was just sexy and attractive...

After Lyn managed to shut out the thoughts of Devon's sexy voice, she looked at Devon in the face and said thanks. Instead of a demonic face Lyn imagined, all she saw was a pair of piercing cold eyes, well built nose and tanned skin emitting a healthy glow.
Oh my! He's so handsome! For a moment, Lyn's face turned red and her heart skipped a beat but she immediately washed of those feelings and tried to concentrate on the discussion.
"uhh i think the guy in the picture does not have a good body like y-." *cough* *cough*
"what i meant was, i think the guy is undeserving of the girl. He's not good looking on the outside but that's fine. What's unacceptable is that his personality is worse than his looks! Just look at..."
Lyn wanted to continue on with what she thought but she felt a pair of cold eyes staring at her.

*Devon's POV*
"Yes, Lyn, have something to say?" old mrs Greggs asked with a hint of anticipation

Dear lord, is that girl just dumb or is she blind? How can Mrs greggy's hair be 'nice'? Just look at those dry curly grey hair! It looks like she fried it or something. Oh and her name.. it's Lyn...? Wow. Never heard of her..

*facepalm* are those 2 dumb and dumber? what's so funny about this anyway?

Turning his head, Devon saw Lyn, who was scared or embarrassed, Devon wasn't sure. But she seemed to not have the guts to look at him in the eye.
Heh. Am i that scary? But we're so screwed. None of us actually listened to Greggy.
A few moments later, Devon thought of an idea that can entertain himself and also explain to Greggy. He smirked as he replied "Discuss what you think of the situation in the book, page 333"
"oh, thanks.."
Heh, you don't have to thank me for pranking you. ...But, are you really not suspicious of this at all?
He raised an eyebrow and looked at Lyn in the eye to check for doubts, yet there were no doubts in her eyes. Wow, she's really dumb. How did we even become partners when we're supposed to be the smartest pair? Oh well, maybe i'm the smarter one. As Devon evaluated Lyn's IQ, she suddenly replied after pondering for a while, turning red sometimes for reasons nobody could fathom.

Amused, Devon can't help but chuckled internally. Of course, his real emotions can't be shown to just anyone.
But wow, just wow. Never did Devon expected Lyn to put in so much effort in a non-existent assignment that he created. Hearing her stopped her discussion and looked at Devon, Devon froze. Did she realised something was off? Lol should I tell her the truth?
