Qui Yang 2

Xueyu and Bao Wei had followed Jiao to the Sect Branch Quarters to see if what he said really matched up.

After all, he wouldn't agree so quickly if it wasn't truthful right?

The walk had taken quite a while and of course there was the bubbly Jiao to make the journey much more pleasant with his tales.

Bao Wei was simply not amused by the boy. Countless times he had to try his best to keep his eyebrows glued in one spot. How could it be possible to say so many words in such a short time?

He strongly thought a person like Jiao should get a word limit per week.

Speaking of tales...

'... and there was this large majestic beast. It was nearly ten times my height with large lethal eyes and a body covered in fur except for the underside that was a rough bark like texture. The five of them didn't even have to battle it at once. Daiyu just ran up to it and became a blur of slashes. You'd think the beast would be sluggish because of its size but it was actually really fast. It evaded all of Daiyu's attacks and she's like the best of all of us. She started martial arts even before joining the sect.'

Jiao's lips seemed to be indistinguishable based on the speed at which he was talking. His arms kept moving about animatedly as he basically acted out the scenes of his story.

Xueyu stopped him actually taking an interest in what he said.

'Your father, if he is your father, is the leader of a sect?'

If Qui Yang was the leader of a sect that would be very good for her. She wondered if that was the reason her father had told her about him. She could see his reasoning behind that decision.

The wheels started turning. If Qui Yang was a renowned sect leader and actually as famous as his son claimed then within no time she would reach her goals.

In terms of cultivation she hadn't even started yet and only knew book knowledge without actual experience.

If she could get Qui Yang to be her master then she would gain both experience, exposure and also lots of knowledge.

Bao Wei who was walking beside Xueyu could tell what she was thinking.

'Little girl, you would abandon me so quickly?'

He frowned at her showing an expression of mock hurt. In reality he understood where her mind was going.

He wasn't at all very sure what had happened to her and her family but he had an inkling it was a large matter. He could sense the mental change she had gone through on their two day walk to the border.

Which each intake of new knowledge he saw how her brain worked quickly processing and planning.

He was actually amazed at how quickly she has learned. It took him four years to get the basics and she got it in two days.

He was actually afraid to see her cultivation level.

Great mental control always showed potential for great cultivation. It was a pity that he did not have any official way to test her potential.

When Xueyu heard what Bao Wei said she had to laugh.

'Big Brother I would never dare to abandon you. Since you agreed to stay when I begged you, why do you think I'd let such a treasure like you slip through my fingers so easily. We'll be joined at the hip. You won't get a chance to object.'

Bao Wei chuckled but abruptly stopped when Jiao cooed at them.

He had his hands to his heart and a faraway look in his warm brown eyes.

'Such a loving relationship. My heart is touched.'

His tone was full of so much theatrics that Xueyu felt he could rival Bao Wei.

That line was probably the turning point in their relationship.

Xueyu no longer found him annoying and was starting to believe him just a bit.

As for Bao Wei, he still found Jiao a little annoying and too dramatic and bubbly for his own good but who was he to talk when he equally matched up in the theatrics department.

It was a blessing that Jiao wasn't arrogant too. That would be a deadly combination.

When they got off the topic of the 'loving relationship' the air around them was much better.

Jiao answered all of Xueyu's questions.

Yes, his father was the leader of a sect.

Yes, it was actually quite famous and weird that she didn't know about it.

Bao Wei didn't know about it either but with his situation it was definitely understandable.

Yes, his father was quite powerful, breaking through to Celestial Realm which was an historical phenomena.

He was apart of a prestigious council of Celestial Realm Mid Rankers. The only other council was for the Celestial Realm Grandmasters.

Xueyu kept shooting questions at Jiao and with his speed of talking he kept up just fine. Bao Wei added his two cents everytime he felt there was something that needed to be explained. In the end Xueyu started thinking that her father really had a master plan. There was no doubt about it. So why hinder her progress?

They entered the quaint looking building behind Jiao and could only find themselves shocked.

The interior was the complete opposite of the exterior.

Where outside it looked almost abandoned, inside held the most modern furniture and decorations.

Jiao noticed their amazement and simply smiled.

'It's called a Space Hold. It's given to all official sect leaders by the Ethereal Realm Heads. When we leave all of this leaves and it seems to be just an old abandoned building again. Interesting, right?'

Xueyu nodded her head with her mouth agape still surveying the place.

She didn't even hear when Jiao mentioned that he would go get his father.
