When I woke up under the bright sun, I knew it was the afternoon this time.
After presenting my full plan in front the group of rebels, they came to the conclusion that they would think about putting the plan into action.
The rebels left deep into the night as I returned to my room as soon as everyone was dismissed from the meeting.
I hoped that Jinny wouldn't give me another rotten bread for breakfast as I soon discovered a bowl of soup left on the table.
[I'll be back tomorrow as I'm going to get some more information as a palace maid] the note that was left on the table beside the bowl said.
When I flipped the note, I found a small copper coin left on the table.
'Is she telling me that I can buy something?' I excitedly thought.
I initially felt bored after having nothing to do as I cleaned the house yesterday.
I realized that cleaning the house would be useless as it would dirty once the group of rebels came for another meeting.
'Since I have nothing to do, let's explore the fifth district,' I thought as I never got the chance to explore the fifth district during the daylight and there was nothing to do at Jinny's house anyways.
I didn't touch the soup as I decided to buy my breakfast in the market instead.
I wore my large cloak to remain undiscovered by the search party as I left the house to go to the market.
The market was livier during the daytime than the night. Many people negotiated with the merchants in the stalls for better discounts.
When I breathed in the familiar market from few days ago, I inhaled the recognizable smell of meat and seafood being grilled upon the upon fireplace.
My stomach grumbled as I have starved myself ever since I filled myself with the junk food from the carnival.
"How much is this?" I asked the merchant who sold the sticks of crispy potato chips.
"A small copper coin," the merchant was clearly overcharging me.
I walked away from that stall to find a honest merchant who would sell me the food at a market price.
"You know if you sold one of the jewels in your hair, you could own the entire stall." A familiar face walked up to me.
Mill stood out in the busy crowd with his tall height as he wore the same outfit as the time we explored the carnival together.
I forgot that the jewels in my hair stood out in the sunlight.
I didn't bother to put them out since they were a pain to take out when they were already tangled up in my hair.
The jewels sparkled brilliantly as it sprinkled shards of light everywhere around me.
No wonder the merchant overcharged me for the potato chips!
"I didn't think you would talk to me again," I admitted to Mill.
A few imperial knights were patrolling the area as they searched for the runaway noble from the Suilett family.
"I didn't think the search party would last this long," Mill seemed impressed.
I gestured to my long cloak that hid almost my entire figure. As long as nobody didn't come up to me closely, there was no way that they would be able to identify that I was the person that they were looking for.
"I guess I'm lucky then," I joked as I twirled around the market as I hid my long hair into the inner parts of my cloak.
"You should go to this stall," Mill suggested as he knew my preferences from the stalls I went to in the carnival.
The stall Mill recommended was full of pure grease. It was almost like fried chicken that I frequently ate late in the night while studying in my past life.
I thanked Mill as I separated from him to explore the menu on the stall.
When I walked closer to the stall, I accidentally bumped into another familiar person as I had to squish through people to get to other stalls in the market from the mass number of people.
"It's you!" the person yelled.
"I don't know who you're talking about," I replied while feeling devastated that I ran into the same noble again from the night market.
I pulled on the hood of my cloak to try to hide my face as Robert walked closer to me.
The horde of people dispersed from the spot where the noble stood as they whispered and gossiped from a distance.
"Then prove it to me. Put your hood off." Robert ordered me as he pulled out his sword to threaten me.
The bypassers gasped as they started to gossip about the news to the people around them in the market.
'Out of all the people wearing cloaks today, why pick me?' I wretchedly thought.
I instantly ran from Robert as fast as I possibly could while I didn't even bother to check if Robert was running after me again.
"Why are you running?" Robert questioned me as he ran after me as he gestured for more knights to follow him in his chase.
"Because you are chasing me for no reason!" I miserably yelled back as I tried to summon more energy to run faster.
The imperial knights tried to surround me from Robert's orders. I had knights in front of me and Robert who was clearly the leader of the knights behind me.
