He couldn't help but yawn, another peaceful day was coming to an end. The sun, slowly setting in the west warmed the air with its gentle rays, the crickets chirping in the trees around the street providing a pleasant melody. The soft wind played around with the locks of his hair while Bai Hao lazily walked home. Nothing exciting ever happened in the small city he lived in, but most people were content with the life they had, living from day to day and finding joy and in the small pleasures of life. They lived a simple life and where satisfied with that.
Mother probably sits at home drinking tea and gossiping with the neighbor's wife Bai Hao thought. He didn't have a close relationship with his parents, he lived in their house, but each kept to their own. His father was never home, working to provide for the family and improve his career. When not at work he could be found hanging around in one of the many bars in the city with his colleagues. Mother mostly stayed home and often spend the afternoon drinking tea with neighbors or friends, gossiping about whomever was not there at that particular moment. While other people were quite satisfied with their peaceful existence, Bai Hao was not. He preferred to immerse himself in books, day dreaming about what it would be like to be a hero, fight demons and dragons, have wealth and power. And that was exactly what he was doing right now while walking home from the bus stop, Bai hao had the curious skill of being able to day-dream while fully functional, almost like a robot. As such he never noticed the green glimmer up in the sky, barely visible to anyone. The glimmer that got brighter and brighter as the object that reflected that light seemed to get closer at an almost unimaginable speed, ignoring air resistance and seemingly every natural law in existence. Bai hao was completely unaware until it was too late, HUH he thought shifting his eyes from the zombie stare in front up to the sky as his view quickly got taken over by a bright glow and he suddenly sharp pain and his mind quickly descended into darkness.
