Something Strange

"Chun'er, do not become someone else's weapon," his handsome face turned to his sister's.

Yu Chun looked at his brother and sneered, "Don't tell me what to do."

Yu Xi sighed helplessly as he glanced at his sister's departing back. Yu Chun was too focus on Hu Feng to see what traps people put underneath her feet. Honestly, if she was not such a good chess piece, he would've let her fall a long time ago. There was no such thing as familial love in the royal family. Yu Chun's mother holds his father's heart, while his mother was a puppet with strings. Giving that brat this much advice was already considered pretty good. Whether she use it or not was up to her.

Sitting down to his glass of wine, Yu Xi watch the moon with great interest. The slight night breeze gave the scene a very desolate feeling. Out of the corner of his eyes, the young prince saw an enchanting figure. Her hair was slightly wet and flowing, making it look like a calm waterfall. Her skin glowed in the moonlight, and her eyes shined like the stars.

Thump. Thump.

"Your Highness, where are you going this late at night," Yu Xi called out to the figure.

Mu Qing glanced back at a pavilion, and saw the charming man. She was walking back from the bath, and was taking a stroll pass this garden to get to her room. His face had a little tinge of red in it, and a lonely air surrounded the prince.

"Crown Prince Yu should take cover and not fall ill."

Her feet continued forward on their journey.

"Can I entice Your Highness to a drink," Yu Xi called out again.

Mu Qing paused and turned around, "One should not dwell on their loneliness."

Yu Xi smiled dropped a little. Was the alcohol making him crazy? Somehow hearing those words gave a little comfort to the young man. His mysterious eyes continued to watch that departing figure. Bathed in the moonlight, Mu Qing looked like a fairy. Maybe it was the alcohol, maybe it was his tiredness, but somehow his heart skipped a beat looking at that Empress. Hu Feng really did have great taste in woman.

The sun was just getting out of bed, but the people below were already bustling with fever. The whole palace was once again cleaned from head to toe. Carts of high quality ingredients continued to flow into the kitchen, voices were heard in all directions, and the in center of all the chaos was a young maiden.

"I need lanterns to be on standby. Make sure the sedans are ready," Mu Qing checked off the list one by one, "I want all the dishes to be that blue porcelain."

"Yes, Your Highness."

---------------------------------------------------------

A blooming woman carefully applied her black liner. Ruby red lips matched perfectly with her lighter red eyeshadow. Yu Chun is an unattainable rose tonight. Her long red dress reached the floor in little ruffles, and gold design of petals were scattered throughout from the waist down. It created the illusion of a swirling storm of gold petals.

'Mu Qing, tonight people will see me as the Empress with this red dress, not you!'

-----------------------------------------------------------

"Wow," Gu Chi praised, and Ke Ying nodded in agreement.

Mu Qing was a refreshing spring breath. Her dress was light pink with jade green and white highlights. It flowed from head to toe creating a relaxing feeling. Fresh flowers were placed in her hair carefully. It was not too much, while it was not to simple. Beside from her light pink lip gloss, there was no make up on her face.

"Come on," Mu Qing turned to her maids, and the trio walked out the courtyard.

Winged eyes stared at the tall figure waiting for her in mild surprise. Hu Feng stood there in a opposing manner. His robes were nicely fitted, showing his lean and strong figure. The dark emerald green with the white swirls on the sleeves and bottom matched perfectly with Mu Qing's dress.

He held out his hand at the approaching woman, and she placed hers in his in a casual manner. The two people were evenly matched in every aspect with a dangerous aura, making one feel as though it was a general and his lieutenant going off to battle.
