A Rune Formation Master?
Ye Shie went closer and opened the door.
When he entered, the first thing that he noticed was the 10 entrances on the wall, 5 on the left and 5 on the right.
In the hall, there were many who was sitting neatly in meditation, patiently waiting for their turn.
Most were ages 20 above, while others were grown middle age man, with a few elderly.
Upon close look the 5 entrances on the right has numbers above it.
Seeing that everyone was patiently waiting for something, Ye Shie himself sat down along with them in meditation.

After an hour of waiting,
Many Formation Apprentices were seen walking out of the left entrances, some were puffing their chest out, while most were looking down dejected.
Out of curiosity Ye Shie politely asked the Middle Age Man meditating next to him.
"Excuse me Sir? Do you know how the exam proceed?"
The Middle Age Man woke up in annoyance at the question. Opening his eyes and seeing the Young Man beside him, the Middle Aged Man's brows couldn't help but raise. 'A youngster huh? Tsk~ So overconfident these days.'
He said "Just wait for further instructions, someone will pick us up."
"Ohh! Thanks Uncle." then Ye Shie closed his eyes in meditation.
The Middle Age Man jerked up, frowning he mumbled "I'm only 26 this year..."
After a moment of meditating, A dashing Middle Age Man walked out of the right entrance.
He is wearing a clean white robe, with a Green badge on his chest. On the badge were 4 vertical lines.
When the White Robed Middle Age Man walked out, sounds of exclamation and awe could be heard among the crowd.
"L-Look! It's Master Zhao Xi! A rank 4 Formation Master!"
"Whoa! So dashing!"
Other remained silent, but their gleaming eyes revealed the fiery ambition and dream to be like him.
"Everyone! Listen Up! My name is Lin Zhao Xi, one of the examiners of this test. You were all given a number by the receptionist in the lobby right? Those numbers signifies what door you should enter in.
In each door there 5 room within are 3 other Formation Masters testing you individually, You all must wait in line patiently and cause no trouble, remember this is the Formation Masters Guild.
If any of you were to be caught cheating, the cheater will be banned from partaking the examination ever again." After saying those instructions, Master Zhao Xi began walking inside the 3 door in the middle.
One by one, the sitting crowd began to stand up, heading towards their given numbers.
Ye Shie obediently walked in line at the door number 3.
When they walked further along, another lobby could be seen, with 5 doors in front of them.
Suddenly, Ye Shie looked around, sensing the nervous and tense atmosphere within his group.
'Why would they be nervous? Isn't this just an examination?...hmm? Did they not study properly?'
Of course, He wouldn't know, that most of them were repeating this process for nearly a decade now, while some of the new ones were tensing their nerves to the max.
Soon, the group were separated into 5 lines on each door, one by one, they began to enter. Ye Shie walked towards the 3rd line again in the middle.
After 5 to 10 minutes, the line would be shortens.
When Ye Shie looked around again. He noticed that in his row, there were all young man and woman, looking like at the age of 18 to 20. With their chest straight and their eyes showing confidence Ye Shie's row entered their individual door simultaneously.
He sighed and couldn't help but think 'Yup! I'm the only 10 years old here...*sigh*'
The youngest apprentice who joined in this examination was 17 years old, and that was already considered as a prodigy. Even though Ye Shie only began his interest in Formation Yesterday, those 17 to 18 years old already began studying about formations since their childhood.
Even though cultivation in this world normally starts at 10, learning knowledge about specific things aren't. It is all in the interest of the Children, Some would start learning about formations, mostly in a Formation Master Clan. Some learns how to fight, some in blacksmithing, etc. etc.
Cultivation would usually starts at 10 because, This is the age where one's sensitivity towards Atmospheric Qi is the highest. Due to this reason, Most started cultivating at 10. Although there were some few exceptions...
Even if a child began cultivating from 1 year old. They would usually stop from the uncomfortable and taxing process of cultivating. Incidentally, there were cases where parents would force their child to cultivate. But the end result was bad, very very bad.
There were many incidents reporting that due to the pressure from their parents, a cultivating children would suffer from Qi deviation or worst explosion from inability to control Qi. And since then, Most of the populace came to an agreement that the children should naturally start their cultivation at 10. Before that age, they were free to be who they are...children.

When Ye Shie entered the Room, he noticed the 2 white robed Middle Age Man sitting between an Elderly in front of him, with a table between them.
The lines on their Green Badges differs, the one on the left was Master Zhao Xi having 4 vertical lines. The one on the right like Master Zhao also has 4 lines. But the one on the middle has 5!
Then Elderly in the middle spoke
"Child? What is your name?"
To which Ye Shie politely bowed and said "Grandpa my name is Ye Shie"
The two middle age man beside him frowned for a bit thinking 'Who's your grandpa?'
The Elderly smiled hearing the word Grandpa, he continued.
"Alright Little Shie, what path did you chose?"
Ye Shie stared at the gently smiling grandpa for a bit noticing his mistake, he began scratching the back of his head.
Ye Shie replied "Uh sir, how should this one address you?"
The Elderly chuckled for a bit saying "Oh! Forgive this old bones of mine, My name is Zhan Se the Xiao City's Formation Guild Master." Pointing beside him he said "This lad is Shen Sao Bai, one of the elders in this Guild" pointing to the other side he said "You may have already known, This is Zhao Xi another elder of the Guild." Then he asked Ye Shie.
"Little Shie, what path did you chose again?"
Ye Shie bowed at the 2 elders beside the elderly and said,
"Grandpa Se, This one chose Rune Formation Master."
Hearing those words, the trio eyes widened for a bit.
'A Rune Formation Masters?'
