Toddaar, The Painter of White Fate

"Not this one… Not this one… And not this one…"

Several hours pass in the blink of an eye, the various stacks of books have been read and flipped through, but no information about the so-called Grandmaster has been discovered, nor does the system issue any kind of warning.

(Is the quest wrong? It's not possible because if the system asks me to go to the library, then there is something in the library that players can discover) Lost in thoughts of what to do, Lin Yun remembered the token given by Lamya Morgan.

The token had the design of a carved brush, it was beautiful and made of high-quality material.

(Brush… Among the most famous figures, there are only a handful who use a brush or who know how to use one. I think these are the ones…) Opening the books again, and looking for the right pages, Lin Yun found the brush users.

(I think it's this guy, he's the only one among the brush users with NPC features with the capabilities to tell me what would be a suitable class for me. Or I could be wrong, but it's good to test and see.)

Sorlomir, The Oracle

This is the name that caught Lin Yun's attention the most of all, mainly because of the information described in the book.

Sorlomir, The Oracle, is a great sorcerer with high skills to predict the future, especially recurring natural disasters.

Born into a poor family in the ancient, destroyed Kingdom of Urzan, Sorlomir decided to change his life when he embarked on a dangerous journey across the world in search of power. Throughout his life, he has encountered friends and enemies, many of whom have died while others are alive.

The biggest twist of fate in his life was when he found a very rare and precious treasure, which transformed him into a great seer with great skills to see the future, but there was a price to pay for the use of his powers, that is his lifetime.

The more it is used, the shorter Sorlomir's life expectancy.

So he decided only to use it when necessary, or when random visions appear in his dreams, which avoids paying.

Sorlomir has decided to lock himself away in his private castle in the Middle Plains to live the rest of his life in isolation, receiving visitors only when one has some vision of the disaster.

Over the years, the world began to call him Sorlomir, The Oracle, or Sorlormir, the Fool, as madness took over his mind because of the price paid for using his prophecy skills.

"…" Even after reading about the chosen NPC, nothing happened, so it wasn't the correct character.

(Wait… Before I choose the next name, I should take a closer look at this token to see if there are any clues)

Making the comparisons between the images in the books and the token, Lin Yun finally had a clue.

(This figure has the same token hanging from his clothes. He's supposed to be the Grand Master, but here it says his name is Toddaar, The Painter of White Fate. Maybe the title Grand Master is something Lamya Morgan calls him for not knowing about his name? That's plausible. According to the information, Toddaar is an orc who lived his entire life on the white sands of the Night Sun Desert. Using his painting skills, he painted the skies, the seas, the lands, and the world, but the curious thing is that he is blind. A blind man made some of the most famous paintings in the world)

The information about Toddaar was very vague and poorly explained, just by looking in more books it would be possible to find more information.

(There were no changes to the quest, the information I discovered is not enough, so I need to learn more about the NPC before the system confirms any changes) Lin Yun walked to the bookshelves again to look for more books about Toddaar, The Painter of White Fate.

Most of the books about him are on the shelves of books about orc culture.

After reading more than five books talking about the great Orc heroes and warriors, which took almost ten hours, the system finally rang.

ding… ding…

"Quest: In Search of the Grandmaster(1) - Completed"

"You received: 1 Silver Coin and Exp"

In Search of the Grand Master (2) - You have discovered the identity of the Grand Master, but you still need to find him to learn more about your fate. Go to the Hermit Village in the Night Sun Desert and find clues to his current whereabouts.

Difficulty: E

Reward: ?????

Requirement: Complete the previous quest

Restriction: Not having any class. If the player chooses a class, the quest will be automatically canceled.

(The second quest has appeared!!!! The only problem is that this Night Sun Desert is very far from here and needs at least level 200 to survive. To make matters worse, I can't even choose to have a class to at least increase my power. Playing with a classless character to the highest levels will be the hardest thing ever.) Lin Yun sighed internally, but there was nothing he could do.

The quest would give him a rare class, so the difficulty would be very high. Even though it shows difficulty E, the restrictions make the quest several times more difficult than it appears.

(It looks like I need to level up faster while trying to improve my skill levels. I need to buy some more skills and learn some more. I still have ten thousand gold coins, which should be enough to buy some good passive skills to improve my character.) The young man was lost in his thoughts and didn't even notice that he was being watched by two players not far away.

The duo identified the books that Lin Yun was reading and reported it to the library employee.

"I see… The NPC he is looking for is different from ours, Toddaar, The Painter of White Fate, I will make a note here to mark that he looked for this NPC" The librarian wrote on the parchment before sending the message to her leader.

Her job in the guild is just to spy on those who go to the library to look for information on legendary characters, something that is only asked for in rare quests.

It's not just her who does this kind of work, many other players do it too. They change their grind time to sit in a chair in the library all day looking at other players.
