Wizarding Britain falls

"Spring, let's go." Said Alex after feeling the goblins appears.

He took the extended hand of the small elf, and both vanish from his house to the plain between the forest and mountain. Instead, allow the goblin to appears in the clan compound, he creates the fall point in the middle of the grassland, too far for seeing anything other than grass and trees outline far away.

There, in the middle of nowhere, a military tent had been raised, with only enough place for ten or so peoples, without being cramped.

When the two appears a few metres afar, they could see a group of heavily armoured goblins. From where Alex was, he could easily make eight guards, surrounding the two in the middle.

Those guards were nothing like the one he had to see a few days ago. Their armour was a mix of leather and goblin steel, with golden filigrees. In their left hand were heavy halberd, while a shealed sword on their right side, partially hidden behind a phalanx shield. The only part of skin he was able to see was through the eyes holes of the helmet.

While he was ignoring the identity of the goblin on Farlengt side, he could easily guess who it was.

While dressed similarly than the guards, they were two distinct difference. The first was the fact that it shield was on it's back, the right arm securing the helmet under its armpit. The second was the prominent crest on the chest plate.

Only the ruler of the Nation had the right to display its armouries.

-To think he would come in person.-

'Seeing the importance of the meeting, he could not afford not to be present; it would have been a slight against me and allow us to break the contract.' Comment Alex, while making his way.

~~~
The slight rustling of feet on grass was all that the guards need to know that someone was coming. Ever since their apparition, three seconds ago, no one had been there to receive them, immediately raising warning bell in their head.
As four of them turn to the incoming party, the four other immediately position on the four sides of their ruler.
Both the Nation ruler and Farlenght had heard the sound coming from behind, and both turn around. The sight they withness caught them off-guard for a second. No, ever since they appear, both had been caught off-guard.
They expected the scion of the Potter line to receive and give them direct access to his house, like any proper pureblood wizard.
Appearing in a military tent in the middle of grassland was far from the Manor they were expecting. But this had nothing to the sight they have under their eyes.
While the goblins could attribute the tent to his cautiousness, no self-respecting pureblood would wear anything other than the gaudiest Acromentula silk robes, while conducting such an important meeting.
This what the goblins had always expected of the wizards, all around the globe. Even if their counterpart were starting to integrate more muggle clothing, they always return to the source for an official meeting.
That why the sight of the fourteen-looking, eleven years old was so shocking. To is feet were a pair of fur-lined dragonhide boots, with coated ends. The pants made of light brown fur of an unknown animal, partially covered with a furred kilt. On his chest, under a white grey wolf pelt, was what caught all they gaze, a skintight, emerald scaled armour.
They could see it going down until is wrists, hidden under furred vambraces. His head was clear, all hair made in a single braid, while a thin crown made of the same unknown metal on his forehead.
~~~

It was only when they see him that they finally understand. He wasn't a wizard, but a warrior. Even from where they stood, a few meters apart, they could feel the temperature dropping at his presence. The cold air mixed with the shining emerald eyes was more than enough to made them all understand it.

~~~
Without acknowledging his guest, Alex enters the tent, before sitting at the other end of the table inside. Once seated, he invites them to follow, with a simple hand gesture.
Off the ten present, only Farlenght and the Nation ruler seated, while the guards stood behind and on their sides.
"Rinsldv Drmulgr, ruler of the Nation, elder Farlenght, welcome."
While the opposite group momently froze at the knowledge that someone outside was knowing the real identity of the Nation ruler, three wooden mugs appear, one in front of each seated party. Waking from the sudden shock, the Ruler gives a quick glimpse at the mug, seeing the steaming reddish amber liquid, his gaze sharpened.
'First, my identity and now Frindrym? The human known of our custom.'
Now knowing the fact, Rinsldv took a small horn from his belt. Opening the tip, he let three drops of the liquid inside fall into the mug.
The nine goblins around were taken aback when they see their king openly test the mug from poison, in front of their host, but visibly relax when the white steam turn green.
Farlenght immediately follows, before the three swallow the content in one go, before smashing the used cup on the table.
~~~

Once the goblin greeting completed, the guards visibly relax, already seeing Alex as another clan rather than a human.

"You hadn't stopped of surprising us, Heir Potter." Started Rinsldv.

"And it seems that I shall once again surprise you. While my name isn't false, it isn't my true identity. I never revindicate myself of the Potter, and never shall I. The name of Alexander from my mother, while Dòmaldr was a gift from our Mother. I am the clan head of the Evans clan, the first of the Evans." Claimed him with pride.

While the Hammerfall and Grindaxe had erased all knowledge of the Evans in every community, there was a single place where none could access, the heart of the Nation. Ever since they vanish, only the ruler of the goblin Nation know who were the Evans and most importantly, their patron.

Hearing that he was gifted with a name from their mother made Rinsldv feel a shiver of dread. He knows perfectly well what it means.

'He had called upon the gods and was gifted a name?!'

The ruler was only starting to understand the scope of the identity in front of him and the location of the place they were. Rinsldv immediately discarded all contingencies they have made the last few days to recover of the crushing defeat. While the still young warrior was seemingly alone, they were effectively trapped here.

If he so wished, he could deal a mortal blow to the Nation by killing them all here and there.

~~~
The relaxing guards immediately became warry when their king tense at the introduction of the host. Fews could boast of putting the king on edge, and all were opponent that could put in peril the goblin Nation. While bewildered to discover another existence that could threaten them, they keep a close eye, ready to react at any attack.
~~~

"It seems that the Nation still keeps knowledge of our existence." Constate Alex, when seeing the reaction of the ruler in front of him. "I have no intention to harm the Nation, as long as the treaty signed between use are kept. The goblin Nation own clan Evans 68,680,000,000G. You have been left with a portkey to bring you here, along with the due money. Shall a single knut was to be missing, I will send back ten head to the Nation, I'm clear."

The tone was finally set, they weren't here to negotiate a possible arrangement, but to repay a debt, or head would rolls.

None of the ten was filling that they could overcome the raising mountain facing them. With each second passing, the temperature continued to drop, and the pressure was starting to become unbearable.

Unwilling to risks things further, Farlenght immediately take out pouch after pouch.

At first sight of the pouch, the temperature returns to normal, as if nothing had happened.

While the old goblin was still taking out a large number of pouches, Alex took out a pyramid-shaped object. Made of smooth quartz, with an octagonal aquamarine at the centre, the pyramid edges and corners were coated with mithril.

Putting it on the table, he lightly touches the tip, sending a pulse of magic inside. As the pulse progress in the artefact, runes light from the inside. When it attains the core of the pyramid, the octagonal-shaped aquamarine, the tip separated from the edge, following the mithril line.

Under the captivated eyes of the goblins, the sharp tips melt as they open, forming trapeze-shaped pave. The widest part was formed by the previous tips, while the geometrical form stopped as soon as the aquamarine appears.

An invisible ripple spread from the open-top, as the runes on the aquamarine activate. Taking the first pouch, Alex upside it, making a rain of galleons fall from the bag, and vanish as soon as they pass the invisible layer of the trapeze-shapes, pave top'.

~~~
Pouches after pouches, Alex empty millions of Galleons through the SU. It was only after the 69 one bag that the totality was transferred. Seeing that they weren't any other, Alex closed the pyramid, before taking out another artefact. Similar to the previous one, the USB port was only different in the fact that it sports four sides of an octagon, while its base was triangular, in the shape of the pyramid.
As he put the pyramid on the USB port, the construct' base open like before. The base separate in three, leaving the entire aquamarine slide in the port.
After a translucent window open, three lines appears.
The first had a Galleons in front of the number 30,000,000,000.
The second had a Sickles with the number 510,000,000,000.
The third had a knut with the number 4,279,240,000,000.
Seeing that they pay 30 billion in gold and silver, with the remaining 8,68 billion in copper, Alex nod. Faking to put the pyramid in his pocket, sending it in his pocket space, he raises.
"We are finished here."
"What of the boons you promised!" Immediately shout Farlenght.
"I already give my name, ask your king, as for the second, I was about to impart some knowledge." Started Alex, easily seeing the greed in the old goblin gaze, looking at the USB port. "But you attempted to rob me again, so..."
In a flash, Alex ponce on the two nearest guards so fast, none see his hands briefly morph,
before tearing their throat apart. Not stopping, he vanishes the table and crushed Farlenght head with his hand.
Taking the swords of the guards he just killed, he sinks them through the hole eyes of the helmets of two other guards.
After murdering the five goblins, Alex turned to Rinsldv. "You had breached the contract; for this time, I will content myself with the lives of the fives of them. Breach it again, and I will strike again." Say Alex harshly.
~~~

Rinsldv could only look bitterly at the sight of the four murdered elite guard and the lost of goblin head. He merely nods, before vanishing with the remaining four guards, not even able to take the corpse of their fallen.

Once sure that the goblin had left, and the wards back in place, he took the empty pouches, and destroy them.

Closing his eyes, he looks through the runes arrays of the bottomless pouch, before founding the tracking array.

Alex had felt the Wards warn him of a magical pulse attempting to exit the island, the moment the goblins appear. It was only thanks to Sigurd note that he was able to add such ward and prevent the goblin from learning the island coordinates.

-As expected, it had been a gamble to make them came.-

'A gamble they lost, not only they weren't able to retrieve the money back, but they also lost four entire sets of their best armour, four elite guards, a clan head, alongside a possible life-changing knowledge.

If it weren't for Sigurd notes, I would have never allowed them to came here, but with them? The chance of us losing something was nearly 0.'

-Will they speak?-

'No, the contract is binding; all information shared during the meeting will be erased from their memories. They will only know that they loose 68,68 billion and they fucked up to the point of losing half of the delegation.

With the contract forbidding them to put a foot on Britain as long as I alive, and vacate Gringotts before the meeting happen, we are good.'"Spring, I leave you the SU, Separate the galleons from the silver and copper and melt them into ingots. Autumn, I need a ride to Gringotts, please."

~~~
Alex vanishes with Autumn after giving the pyramid to Spring. When they appear in the empty office, Alex smirk. Exiting Farlenght past office, and travelling in the corridors of the bank, he soon appears in the hall.
At the other side, the large doors were closed and the hall free of any papers or worker. Closing the doors leading to the offices, and the deeps of Gringotts, Alex added his runes arrays and an EC to power them.
Walking to the cart room, he rapidly made his way in the tunnel of the past goblin bank. Because the goblins had taken down the protective wards of the bank, he was able to map the underground as he progresses.
Alex needed five hours of work to entirely map the underground, and seal away all tunnel leading out of the Vaults area. Due to the particular situation, he was able to reach the depth of the place, seeing the past most secure Vaults of Gringotts.
Now that the goblin had retrieved all the safety measure, anyone breaking in the bank would be able to plunder even the deepest one with enough time. Climbing back, he momently opens the door and return to the office, and tried to open the hidden door.
~~~

-They didn't want anyone to enter their tunnels.- Said CS when they see that the access ad been condemned.

"Yes, the only tunnels I had to close were the very old one. They had either forget about it or didn't through the wizards would be able to enter then, seeing the state they were in." Respond Alex, while excavating the block put to close any access to the galleries behind.

Making sure to put the block back properly, Alex and CS explored the newly abandoned dwelling. Each time they enter an abandoned cavern, they could only found open and empty Vaults. Making his way to the Hammerfall cavern, Alex open one of the tunnel he closed not long ago.

Following the dimly lit way in the rock, he soon found what he searched.

Looking around the immense cavern, the different veins of ores glittered under the light of the natural phosphorescent stones littering the cavern sides. In the middle of numerous rails tracks and empty carts, a few blasting furnaces of lesser quality than the one in Surrey were slowly cooling off, after being extinguished.

Because they had to relies on Dragons to melts their ores, larges stables could be seen on aside.

Because of Alex, Gringotts hadn't other choice but abandoned the mines on the British isle. They didn't fight back for a good reason. After more than six centuries of exploitation, the resource under the bank was nearly exhausted. In the last century, the goblins had to need to dig more profound to found veins but were unsuccessful.

From the memories of Keenbuster, they should have drained the entire island of ore in the incoming two centuries. They had been talks about breaching on muggles old mines, but the idea had been shout down by the ICW for the status of secrecy.

~~~
Looking all around, Alex took out a thin wooden box. Barely ten centimetres wide, for a meter square, he took off the wooden panel at the front. Inside were 1,089 alveoli, all containing a nest and it ant. With a pulse of magic, the 1,089 'miner' ants were activated and released in the cavern.
Contrary to those still in Surrey, those were made with the new SU. Doe to the small size, their abdomen were able to house three aquamarine, for a total of 3,000 Square metres of space. Not only did he expand the space, but he also reworks the internal rune arrays and EC.
Like aquamarine, he funds that blue topaz was the best energy cell he could found for now. A piece of crafted one centimetre long, hexagonal topaz was able to store enough energy to supply an ant for ten-day of work. While it is less than previously, the EC only need three hours of sunray exposure to be fully charged, contrary to the previous two days.
For the small worker, topaz was the best, but if he wanted to power heavy wards, Diamond was the best.
Taking out a second nest box, he releases a similar amount of 'digger' ants, and the second batch of 'miner'.
His job done, he exits the underground place with Autumn.
While Alex was receiving the goblin, the Nation warned the Ministry and ICW of the departure of the goblins from the British Isles. The sudden retreat of the banking race, after the past events of the previous days, send turmoil in the British community.
If the goblin sold the control of the general Vaults to the Ministry, each House registered as at least Magical House could buy their own directly to the Nation. When they learn that, in doing so, they would cut the Ministry influence on them, the different Head rushed to conclude the sale.
On December 31, a final list was transmitted, from the goblin to the Ministry. This list regroups all Vaults they would now oversee, starting from the January 1st 1992. When Fudge didn't see the Potter Vaults among them, he was royally pissed, but couldn't act as it would otherwise mean that all lesser Houses under the Potter's, would also be encompassed.
As the Potter were the highest-ranked House, it was clear that all the old pureblood would tear him apart if he attempted anything.
While the pureblood were gloating of finally recovering their banking right from the goblin, a large part of the population became uneasy. With the Ministry now leading the core of the economy, and its past policy, decisions were made.
It was flocks of owls who migrate north, to Scottland. Due to the heavily pureblood laws already in place, and the proposed bills, the totality of the muggle-born parents decide to withdraw their child out of Hogwarts, and seek education on the old continent.
With the fact that the break was still ongoing, a lot of families travel through the channel and visit the Beauxbatons Academy of magic. While the majority of them integrate the french school, a large portion travels to the new world for Ilvermorny or ever Castelobruxo in Brazil.
~~~

The joy brought by the desertion of the entire population of muggle-born was of short duration for the pureblood, when the board regulate the school fund. In one day, the castle had lost a little more than half of it found, along with the same percentage of its population. Because the year was a little under half past, it was the remaining funds for the year who vanish.

Whit the Ministry' hands full of the Accounts they suddenly found themselves to oversee, the Wisengamot could no call an extraordinary session to stop the haemorrhage. When the time finally came, it was too late.

All those families had exit Britain, and seek asylum elsewhere. With the ongoing nationality change, the British Ministerial laws lost their power on them.

With the threat of closure from the school, the pureblood hadn't other choice but caught-up the new fees of the school if they didn't want to see their child have their magic bound, wand snapped and throw out of magical Britain.

The sudden 400% rise in fees started a second departure from the school. All House heads took the young women past their fifth year out of the school, their family wanting to short on the exorbitant fees they would have otherwise have to pay.

Most of them would found themselves wed to powerful and wealthy pureblood of the old continent under the incoming year. The most fortunate would see themselves have private tutors to pass their N.E.W.T.s.

The responsible for the leaks about the Vaults, the possible schools and how to escape the abusive laws against their children, was Alex. While all could found it spiteful, he did all of this as revenge against Fudge, and it attempts of manipulation.

Not only losing half of the next generation was another crushing blow for the community, but making people aware that the government will now have an eye on your accounts would send the populace against him. On another side, the rise of fee for the education of the remaining child, and losing 20% of it remaining effective again, had turned England into a joke for other countries. It was now evident for all safe themselves that the British community would soon die.

~~~
When he returned to Hogwarts after the break ended, Alex observes with stupefaction, at the result of his ongoing. At least two-thirds of the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff table was missing, only half for Gryffindor. This was due to the migration of the muggle-born and some half-blood, showing the disparity of their spreading among the four House.
Of the initial forty-some student in the first year, only Slytherin didn't lose any. It was only at fifth years, and up, leaving the House with only males, a similar situation shared ironically with the lion, with some raven too.
All in all, Hogwarts started the year 1991 with 369 students, who dwindle to 148. The castle had never been so empty, and he could see the acting headmistress visibly stressed by the situation. At the speed thing were going on, they could potentially lose yet again students if the following year muggle-born didn't join. Why? Because the majority of the heir of British families who hadn't passed through Hogwarts yet, were present this year.
For the survey she made on the book of acceptance, the muggle-born of 1992-1993 represent 70% of the incoming students. Losing them would be disastrous as not only the fact of losing students itself but also an economic reason.
If they didn't receive the tuition fees for that 70% the actual fees would once again be raised. McGonagall knows that the situation would be good; each year, she presents the expenses needed to the muggle-born families. With the actual situation, she would have no choice but deliver the actual one of 5,000G (250,000 P).
Only pureblood families can pay this much for their child education, and if those families learn of Beauxbaton, the situation would repeat itself.
Another fact who would play a considerable part she was unaware was since the Ministry took possession of the bank, the rate of Galleon to Pound ad crumbled from 1G-50P to 1G-100P. With those additional charges, the education would cost those families, half-a-million per years, not counting the schoolyear material.
~~~

Seeing that all students were seated, McGonagall raised from her seat at the centre oft he table, before lightly slapping her knife on her glass.

As the clear ring slowly shut the whispers spreading around the hall, the attention turns to her.

"Before we start, I would like to share a few news with you all. As you could see, the numbers of your peers had decided to pursue their magical education elsewhere." Started her, not able to hide the slight pursing on her lips. "Due to the recent ... change our community is facing, and seeing its repercussion on the castle, the board had come to make some decisions.

I have the regret to share with you all that our caretaker, Mr filch, alongside our Gamekeeper Hagrid, were left to seek employment elsewhere. With now the lack of any sufficient students, the board had also decided to close the Muggle studies and Divination elective.

Shortly before your return, I also learn of Professor Quirrel disappearance. As such, I would like for all of you to present a warm welcoming to your new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, professor Gilderoy Lockart." Again, she barely contains her pursing lips, clearly unhappy with the smiling and waving git, under the adoration of the remaining female population.

"That will be all, for now, thank you."

Seating, the meal appears on all table. As at the start of the year, all could see the Potter heir reading a book, against the wall of the Great Hall entry, and petting his enormous pure white kneazle.
