Help Me Bring These Back?

Ye Mo and Zhi Ruo arrived at the foot of the Divine Moon Peak side by side, both of their shoes touching the ground exactly at the same time.

This was not planned nor done deliberately... or at least, it was not a mutual thing.

Ye Mo, in fact, did not seem to pay any attention to Ming Yue Sect's precious third princess. It was all Zhi Ruo being true to her martial arts maniac title. Seeing his burst of speed, she actually felt her blood boil in excitement.

As they were both cultivators at the peak of the Divine Awakening Stage of the Nascent Divinity Realm, she wanted to compete with and beat the well-known genius, Sword Flash Ye Mo, in his own game.

Speed!

Fast sword moves, lightning-quick movement techniques, shortlived battles. These were all qualities that earned Ye Mo his title.

After seeing the massive explosion, without holding anything back, Ye Mo shot like a true arrow out of the guest courtyard. In less than a split second, he had climbed down to the foot of the Night Wind Peak, the mountain where he was staying.

From there, not even a breath had lasted when he dashed towards the Divine Moon Peak. He was gone without even bothering to look back at the dumbfounded maids and guards of the third princess, much less the Ming Yue Sect outer disciples assigned to him as servants.

His speed could have been only described in a single word.

Terrifying!

Ye Mo had rotated his cultivation base to its fullest, giving his leap great power and his speed good boost. Of course, overexerting such power in a short amount of time would cause more harm than good to his body, but he did not seem to care.

He had thrown decorum out of the window by abandoning his visitors behind.

He had to fight his way over the human barricade of Ming Yue Sect disciples trying to stall him along the way.

Maybe, he would be punished for all of these later, but for now, his thought was only focused on that little freaky brat who would impishly smile at him whenever she manages to cheat him.

It was already winter, yet the strong icy winds rushing down from the top of Divine Moon Peak... that explosion... he knew those were not a natural phenomenon. Those sharp ice-wind blades continued to whip out like they were being expelled from somewhere. Or someone. This was giving him an ominous feeling.

Thankfully, his rashness, strength, and reputation had allowed him to reach the top of the mountain in the time it takes for an incense to burn.

"Elder Ye!"

One of the high-ranking alchemist in the sect, second only to the elders, an old man called Alchemist Yu Bin, saw him come and called out to him before he could approach the main hall.

"This is part of the restricted areas. Even if you are a respected guest, no outsider can come inside. We humbly apologize and seek your understanding."

Ye Mo was completely agitated. "Little Yin is in there! I need to go in there!"

"I am only following the sect's rules. Please do not form any grudge against me," Alchemist Yu Bin smiled thinly, but deep in his eyes, there was disdain. It was obvious he does not put a mere clan elder in his eyes. "Our sect is now mobilizing all available manpower to investigate what happened and to heal those who were injured. With the Patriarch beside that mortal girl, would she need to worry about her safety? Pardon my words, but you will only be in the way."

"I will not be in anyone's way—"

"Ruo'er will be entering with a friend," a gentle yet authoritative female voice spread out loudly. A tall beautiful lady in a majestic phoenix robe smiled at everyone. "Does anyone here dare to stop Ruo'er?"

Every Ming Yue Sect disciple and elder present was shocked by Zhi Ruo's sudden appearance.

"T-Third princess?"

"Fairy Zhi!"

"Junior greets the third princess!"

"Junior greets the third princess!"

Zhi Ruo stepped forward, ignoring the masses, and quietly asked Alchemist Yu Bin this time. "Do you dare to stop Ruo'er's friend?"

Alchemist Yu Bin was frightened senseless. Who was Zhi Ruo? She is a Saintess from the main sect, a true princess and a darling of the capital. Not only was she a powerful cultivator, her deep background was enough to intimidate any power or family, let alone a single person from a sect branch, in Qing Blessed Lands.

In a snap, he was on his knees, begging forgiveness.

"This lowly one does not dare, third princess!"

Ye Mo could only give Zhi Ruo a grateful bow, keeping this favor buried in his heart, before he hurried over towards the direction where he felt the cold air was the strongest. Time was too tight to bother with formalities.

He knew that this rich yin qi could only stem from Little Yin. It seemed like he had underestimated the power of the Absolute Yin Physique.

He could not help but worry. What happened to Little Yin?

She's... she's still alive, right?

"Little Yin?" he called out, enhancing his voice with his spiritual energy. Everywhere, there was a thick, white fog that could obstruct eyesight, and it was increasing the difficulty of investigating Little Yin's whereabouts.

As far as he knew, he should have already entered the Patriarch's Main Hall and was now headed to the pavillions behind it.

"Little Yin, where are you?"

"Can you hear me?"

"Answer me if you're nearby!"

"Little Yin?"

He could not help but shudder because of the decreasing temperature the more he walked. He could not distinguish left from right. He could only walk blindly along the halls, using his divine sense to investigate from time to time.

After a while, he entered an entirely different world, one that is purely covered in white snow. There was complete silence, a deathly stillness inside. Only the whooshing of the wind could be heard.

It was here that the yin qi was strongest.

However, even with his cultivation, Ye Mo was finding it hard to breathe in this place. His body was even becoming lethargic. It was his will that pushed him to continue searching.

All of a sudden, he saw something in that white haze that made his mouth agape.

"Little Yin?!"

A familiar cheeky girl's voice replied with a laugh.

"Oh, old fogey! You are here! Perfect!" A blurred silhouette of a little girl was gradually becoming clear in front of him. "Can you help me bring these back? You have a spatial storage container with you too, right? I have three already, yet the spaces inside are so small, there are still leftovers I can't fit inside."
