Blood Sect's Master

"We congratulate you for being the top student among this batch. You've shown spectacular results. Ones unlike we've ever seen ever since we started this academy." One of the men in front of Goburou started talking. He was a middle-aged man and was sitting on a chair with an office in front of him. From his QI alone, Goburou felt that he was Heavenly Establishment level 7. Goburou ignored his claim of them being the ones that created the academy, and let him continue to talk.

"As the top students, we'll have to rely on you for doing many great things for the academy. We'll have you wear this necklace, as it will allow us to contact you. It also serves to identify you as a top student. We'll have some others with the necklace, but don't worry yours is unique! Your condition will also prove to be no issue at all!" The man kept trying to sell up the use of the necklace. Going as far as reassuring Goburou about his pale skin and red eyes, who they believed to be a condition. The man next to him nodded at his words. Goburou didn't believe them, but he still chose to wear the necklace.

"Heh heh, the fool." Once Goburou put on the necklace, the man sitting down spoke. "Now, he's under our control." The man next to him smiled as he spoke. Apparently, the necklace is a tool they used to put students under control. It was certainly an improvement compared to using illusionists in order to do the job. Unfortunately for them, Goburou was Ed's monster. The system wouldn't have a weakness as simple as mind control. Ed's monsters would only follow his orders. They could never be controlled by a third party.

"The fools are you guys." Goburou surprised them as he spoke normally while smiling. His fangs appeared and scared the two men in front of him. "You couldn't wait until you confirmed that I was under control?" Goburou smiled once more as he activated Bloody Drive. Muffled screams could be heard from that room.

Back in the building where the auction took place, Ed was sitting in front of the organizer. The man in front of him looked old, with grey hair and wrinkled skin. Yet, his eyes were sharp and looked like they could pierce through mountains.

"So, you want information. What kind?" The man started discussing things directly with Ed. He didn't bother with small talk and chit-chat.

"Anything you know about Blood sect." Ed didn't bother with any of those either.

"That won't be cheap." Of course, the information wasn't for free. Ed knew this so he came prepared. He passed a spatial ring to the man and let him look through it. Ed knew that Blood sect was considered a top organization by now. The auction wouldn't be willing to offend such people for no reason, but Ed's spatial ring was a good enough reason.

As a matter of fact, it was enough to make the man's eyes glow in surprise.

"These are more than plenty." The ring was full of potions, pills, and Epic grade weapons. Ed considered this to be the appropriate pay for this. Of course, if he deemed the information to be lacking, he would take it back. Even if it was by force.

"Blood sect has taken over all three of the continents. The information they're letting out is that they still need more time. Each one of the other continents is being ruled by an Immortal Establishment level 10. Their fighting ability is much higher than their cultivation, so be careful." The old man could tell that Ed was planning to fight Blood sect. The infamous Nightmare that hunted Blood sect was famous enough to reach his ears after all.

"The only reason they didn't conquer this continent is that of a certain existence in Ryuu kingdom." Ed smiled as he could tell what the old man was talking about. "However, they're planning a massive invasion in two weeks. They will be sending many Immortal Establishment cultivators. According to my information, the strongest one will be level 8. They plan to kill anyone they deemed an obstacle to their plans. This, of course, means kingdoms such as Ryuu, Avalez, and even Avalon." The old man took a look at Ed and smiled. It was as if he was indicating that he knew Ed's identity. Of course, Ed wasn't surprised.

This could have been easily figured out just by the recent incidents. Ed's appearance after two years. The sudden fall of Aaragon kingdom, and the hunts that Blood sect posts suffered from. Anyone with half a brain could find out about it if they searched hard enough.

'Two weeks…' Ed fell into a deep thinking mode, but the old man wasn't done yet.

"As thanks for your generous contribution, I'll let you know one secret about Blood sect." A mischievous smile formed on the old man's face. "The current members of Blood sect believe that they're following the son of the previous master of Blood sect. But, they're wrong!" Ed could figure out what the man was about to say. And he didn't like it. Shivers could be felt running down his spine.

"The previous master of Blood sect never died one hundred years ago. And now, he's back stronger than ever, ho ho ho." Ed's mind started working faster than ever. He truly did not like this piece of information.

"He, his son, and his grandson are all monsters, so be careful. Oops, I ended up telling you two secrets, ho ho ho. Well, it's fine. I look forward to where you will lead this world, boy." After speaking these words, the old man stood up, indicating that this conversation was over. Ed stood and only said, "Thank you." Before leaving as well. His head still full of question about many things. 'How did the sect master survive' 'How did that old man know these things' and 'What should I do know'. These question plagued Ed's mind, but he was snapped out of his thoughts when he felt a familiar aura approach him.

'Goburou? No a clone.' Ed met up with the aura's source, which was a small clone of Goburou made from blood.

"I found the targets, but there's an issue. They're being controlled." Goburou communicated with Ed through his clone. He was now standing in front of a cell where the general, Harry and some others were imprisoned. They all had collars like the necklace Goburou was given.

"I'll be right there," Ed spoke as he teleported.
