The monster was petrified. His last memory was a blinding white light exuded from the bodies of two elderly men, who were halfway across the river Styx. But, he was not a sentient monster; memories meant nothing to him. His instincts took hold of him, and as his body wriggled around, he roared. His voice, unlike anything ever heard in this world, carried so much strength and weight, that the gravel underneath the monster's feet was obliterated. His eyes scanned the surroundings in an instant, and fell on a human near him, mumbling in an unknown tongue.
Once again, as though his body was controlled by an unknown entity, the monster's eyes lost the slight glimmer they had; the tentacles surrounding his body exploded everywhere.
Ed wasted no time unsheathing his sword. The tentacles were homing on him and his companions at a speed only he and Raikou could react to. He gathered his Ki in his sword and slashed horizontally towards the incoming tentacles. The slash clashed against hundreds of tentacles and disintegrated. Ed raised his eyebrow in surprise and slashed once again, but to no avail.
Seeing how his attacks had no effect, he opened a portal behind him and pushed everyone else inside of it as he escaped through it as well. The sound of the tentacles obliterating the ground where they once stood made everyone realize the strength of the enemy they were fighting this time around.
The monster's eyes were quick though, as he detected where they escaped to. He punched the air with a single tentacle, which stretched through hundreds of meters; its target was Ed. As the latter retreated to the back, the monster roared from far away, and the tentacle in front of Ed opened up like a net, hoping to catch anything.
Surprised, Ed used Haki on the sword and parried the giant net towards the ground. The net-like tentacles found their real target and rooted deep within the ground, and the monster retracted his hand. Ed watched as the monster approached through the sky, but before he could react, Sieg took the front and cast his magic. A giant wall made of pristine white bones appeared in front of them.
The monster didn't stop or try to turn around. He readied his hand and struck at the wall, which started to crumble. Yet, before he could finish destroying it, Garu, Gobuta, and Goburou charged through the now brittle wall. With his violet tattoos already shining, Gobuta's sword was covered in purple flames. He slashed at the extended hand of the monster only to find it unmoving.
The monster slashed down at Gobuta, but was unsuccessful, as Garu and Goburou interfered. Garu punched his hand away, while Goburou stabbed him with his rapier and thousands of blood needles. However, the monster sustained no damage at all. Garu's fist was damaged to his elbow.
Gobuta was still slashing down at the hand, veins popping all over his head and arm. "Ooooooohhhhh!" as he screamed with all his might, his tattoos shone brighter than ever and his flames could burn right through the hand of the monster.
The monster could feel the searing pain and roared, sending the three monsters flying back. The wind pressure was strong enough to keep everyone rooted in their place, doing their not to get knocked back. The monster reached down to his severed arm, snake-like tentacles wriggling out of his shoulder; he attempted to reattach his arm. However, Raikou, who was hidden in the shadow beneath the monster, emerged and his target was the throat.
Raikou bit hard and twisted his body in midair. The resulting force was enough to fling the monster away from the arm, buying enough time for everyone to find their footing. Ed took this chance to teleport near the severed arm, and from his inventory, he withdrew a black spear and stabbed it. The intertwined tentacles surrounding the arm immediately stopped wriggling. The monster could feel that his arm was no longer capable of being reattached to him. He took his remaining arm and stabbed it through the ground.
From underneath, thousands of spear-like tentacles emerged and started to stab upward, inching closer and closer to Ed and the others. Agumon, who was standing by the sideline all this time, took his chance to evolve to his mega form, Wargreymon. And then, a step further, as he was enhanced by Ed's cards. A cocoon of Red and Orange enveloped Wargreymon, and in the next second, out came Omegamon.
Omegamon stood in the front and used his Omega Sword to slash at the approaching tentacles. Unlike their previous display of hardness, the tentacles were cut like paper by the flaming slash sent out. Ed joined Omnimon and slashed away at the tentacles, this time his sword was mightier than ever, and he, as well, was able to cut them. In a mere second, the surrounding forest of tentacles was whittled down to nothing.
The cut pieces of tentacles, however, started to move. Hundreds upon hundreds of snakes emerged out of the ground and jumped towards everyone.
Suika, in her light form, had finished healing Garu's arm, when she suddenly switched to a violet, more dark color. In response to the snakes' attack, she let out an equal number of violet bubble-like orbs into the air. Each orb homed in on the snakes, and as soon as they touched each other, they disintegrated. The snakes, along with orbs, lasted a mere ten seconds, before the wastelands were no longer dyed in the black color of tentacles.
The monster was fast approaching, his right arm swollen to a size that could dwarf a small mountain. He swung down at his closest target, Omegamon, but lost sight of him in the next instant. A giant wall of black bricks appeared in front of him, but as stared longer, he realized it was not a wall; it was Mehen's scales.
Mehen increased his size to its largest and surrounded Ed and the other monsters. The monster's arm looked small compared to the actual mountain known as Mehen. However, its damage was still enough to pierce through the scales. As the monster rained down blow after blow, he heard small taps behind him. He didn't stop attacking, but the taps were enough for him to turn his head around. There, he saw an Angel, with wings of Black and White, smiling.
He wanted to swing his fist at her, but he was already mid-attack and couldn't switch the target. Merry extended her hands in front of her as though she was praying, and her body began to shine. The light continued to intensify. Stronger and stronger, until she shone brighter than the sun. The monster had no time to react and his eyes were fried. He swung sideways in an attempt to blindly hit Merry, but it was to no avail as she was already gone from that spot. She hovered on top of him, her head almost touching his, and pointed her fingers right at his eyes. Instead of light, this time she attacked with lasers and could hear the howls of the monsters as he felt his eyes melting. Mehen didn't transform to protect everyone from the monster; he did it so he could shield their eyes from Merry.
Lighting poured from the sky and rose from the shadows. Sieg and Raikou worked together in tandem; it was to prevent the monster from regenerating his eyes. As Mehen grew smaller from exhaustion, Garu dashed out with his greatsword in his hand and pierced the monster's stomach while he was stunned. As he rushed to the front, he swung his sword in a circle, creating a small tornado. As he did so, the monster attacked him several times causing him to lose some teeth as well as breaking several ribs, an arm, and a leg. But, Garu did not give up and continued to rotate until he sent the monster flying towards Omegamon.
The latter swung his Grey Sword upward and sent the monster flying. He used his Garuru Cannon to assault the monster, as Merry joined him with her Light bullets. In an attempt to protect his body, tentacles surrounded the monster from all sides, creating a giant egg-shaped cocoon in the middle of the sky. Bits and pieces of tentacles fell to the ground as the egg grew smaller with each passing moment. As the tentacle defense shed its last piece, the monster emerged with its signature black sword that it has used to overpower Ed years ago.
As it attacked everyone with a black flying slash, light from the sun was blocked and the only light source remaining was Merry, who had used a light dome to protect the others. But, the lack of light was fatal to the monster, as it failed to notice the behemoth approaching it from the sky; one that had blocked the sun with its body.
Entei, the Black Dragon, swooped down from the sky. He gave no time for the monster to react as he crashed at him with his claws. The monster was sent plummeting towards the ground, like an arrow flying towards a bullseye. Entei gave chase instantly, and as soon as the monster stood up, he bit him. A dragon's fangs are capable of penetrating everything. Such is the rule for the world; for all worlds. The monster was no exception. He could feel the teeth sinking into his flesh, and although he retaliated by cutting a part of Entei's tail off, he couldn't shake the dragon.
Entei, with the monster still between his fangs, flew higher and higher, until Ed couldn't be seen anymore. He flung the monster above his head and charged his breath. Pristine blue flames, enough to cover an entire continent, assaulted the monster. Neither tentacles, nor magic could protect him from these flames, and the more he struggled, the closer he got to his demise. But such flames cost too much, and couldn't be maintained for so long. Entei would stop before the monster could be destroyed. And Ed knew this.
He teleported to where the Dragon and the Monster were fighting. His eyes swirled into a pattern of red and black, and he squinted while targeting the monster. The blue flames died down, and the monster could feel danger. He moved out of the way, but couldn't dodge completely, as his only remaining arm burst into black flames. The flame was different from the dragon's but just as dangerous, if not more. He tried to put it down but to no avail. The only chance he had left was to sever his arm.
As the monster did just that, the black flames continued to eat away at the arm; Ed took that chance. He teleported in front of the monster, and with his sword clad in Amaterasu flames, he began to slice away at the monster.
Helpless, and unable to react, the monster could do nothing but watch as his body got shredded into pieces by Ed. Amaterasu was potent enough to destroy any piece before it could touch the ground.
With only the head still not burned, Ed stared at the monster. Horns broken, one eye still destroyed by Merry, and its skeletal head fractured everywhere. Ed held the head and charged Ki between his palms. Soon the head was nothing more than dust.

Soul Recovery increased by 10%.
"Only five more times and I'll be back to full power," said Ed as he slowly descended to the ground. In his hand, a Healing, and his target was the unburned hand that was still pierced by his black spear.
