He sat there with his arms around his knees gazing at the river. Pondering what was to come next. If this was but a normal tail a storm would come and whisk this sorrow filled child off on an adventure or perhaps an alien would launch their earth-shattering attack. Better yet for the child, he would be whisked off to another universe to play the role of hero or villain. Well perhaps not a villain, for this child has witnessed far too much cruelty to wish such a thing upon another living being.

The boy shifted a bit, as if he knew something was coming, causing his long dark blue shirt sleeve to pull up a bit. The feeling of the cool morning air on the boy's skin caused him to viciously yank his sleeve down. He then proceeded to check his surroundings. Finding no-one Cas sighed in relief.
"Cas are you okay? I couldn't find you this morning?" asked a concerned voice from behind him. So much for checking his surroundings.
"Nightmare," Cas responded.
"Ah." said the man who has been sheltering the boy for the last three years. "Do you think you can stomach some breakfast or should we give it more time?"
"..."
"More time it is." responded the man as he sat with the boy.
