Duel Under the Heaven!

"Damn this dog! Why do you have such a good movement technique! Just stand there and die!" Er Hong swung his sword at Charles, but the latter easily dodged it and went back on the attack causing Er Hong to keep moving back. "Alright! If you're going to play it that way, then let's dance you foreign dog! Er Hong suddenly released a burst of Emperor's Spirit aura causing the surrounding people to feel like they had been weighed down by a massive boulder! Charles immediately backed away, but he noticed that he was much slower than before! Er Hong saw that his aura had worked on Charles and immediately attacked him! "Looks like you are weaker than me! Don't think that your the only person to have a technique!" Er Hong shouted as his sword descended onto Charles!

Charles sensing danger approaching tried to dodge but with Er Hong's aura still in effect he couldn't dodge in time and had to resort to blocking! "Shit!" Charles shouted as he tried to stop the descending sword from slicing him in half, and once Er Hong's blade had touched his katana, Charles suddenly felt a powerful force and flew backward and landed on the ground with his body feeling a stinging pain as he tried to get up. "HA! Do you see now foreign dog?! How much stronger I am than you?! Why don't you concede right now and admit your faults! That way everyone can continue their lives happily!" Er Hong smiled as he taunted Charles.

"That damn bastard!" Andreas tried to get up to help Charles but was stopped by Orson "What are you doing, Orson?!" Andreas shouted as he sees Orson blocking him! "You're already badly injured! You'll die faster than Charles if you keep going at your pace!" Orson Replied "But what about Charles huh?! He's gonna die if I don't get there!" Andreas shouted again as he tried to get rid of Orson. "Listen to me for once you blockhead! If you go in there, you'll only hinder Charles! Just let him do what he can!" Orson shouted back. Andreas stopped and looked at where Charles landed and gritted his teeth. "Fine! But he better not die!" Andreas finally gave up. "It's all up to whether Charles can beat him," Orson replied as he looked at the duel.

Charles finally got up with some difficulty and looked at his katana. It managed to endure the attack from Er Hong due to the blade being steel! 'Good thing I chose this.' he thought and looked at Er Hong. The man in front of him looked larger now, as though Er Hong was better than Charles in every way. "You may have some sharp teeth dog! But you are far from able to kill me! So give me your answer! Die by pulling each of your limbs with horse carriages? Die by bloodletting? Or die by letting a bunch of starving peasants rips you into pieces as they eat your body? I've heard town of Gou's slums had just recently run out of food! You'd be doing a service to them by feeding your worthless body to the rotting beggars!" Er Hong declared as he stared at Charles.

"I won't be dying here today Er Hong, try as you might, but you'll find out I'm not so easy to kill and like the others who had made the same mistake as what you're doing right now. Your head will be on the ground as I stand tall above your cold corpse!" Charles shouted back. "Hmph! Fine then death by beggars it will be! It would be too easy just to chop your head of right now so I will give you some honor before you pass foreign dog! I, son of Er Gong and 100-man commander under the flag of the glorious Emperor Yang! Will duel you and may heaven see the victor emerge!" Er Hong smiled as he shouted. "Er Hong wants to have a duel under the heavens against a child?!" Liu Xuan said in shock. "It looks like he wants to humiliate the boy." Commander Yue replied.

'Janko, what is Er Hong trying to do by saying that stuff?' Charles asked Janko in his mind. Janko immediately replied: "That man just started a duel under the heavens against you. To put it simply, a duel under the heavens is a fight between 2 people who will fight a life or death battle and the battle will be observed by heaven. Only commanders and generals would do this when both parties want to end a fight without risking their soldier's lives any further, but if you do not accept the duel and you will be labeled a coward by heaven!" Janko explained.

'Aren't I already shunned by heaven? Why would heaven care about me participating in this duel?' Charles asked "You're not shunned but rejected if you were shunned heaven would have probably have struck you down with lightning already! You were just rejected from using true Emperor's Spirit. Now say your vows to heaven." Janko replied. Charles nodded his head "I, son of no one, an average man under the vast skies shall strike the man before me down. I shall show you rejecting me was a mistake! So watch me heaven as I prove you wrong!" Charles shouted at the skies about them and everyone around Charles who had heard him say that opened their eyes wide in shock! Charles had just provoked heaven! Is he mad!?

Liu Xuan was speechless, never had a person been so rash as to provoke heaven before a duel! What will he gain out of doing that?! Commander Yue frowned upon hearing Charles, he had blatantly disrespected heaven, but was that the reason for the odd feeling they felt when he entered the square? Er Hong gritted his teeth in anger as he heard Charles "You dare disrespect Heaven and me! Since Heaven is too kind to destroy you, I will assist them in sending you to judgment!" Er Hong shouted, and suddenly the sky goes dark. Black clouds fly over the skies above the barracks and rain pours down heavily with strong winds blowing from every direction! North, South, East, West, all side were getting hit by winds so strong it could cause a person to fly!

Everyone quickly laid low onto the ground as the wind started to get stronger and stronger! "Commander Yue! Just what in the world is happening!" Liu Xuan shouted in terror! "I have no idea as well! Lay on the ground now! Don't get caught in the wind!" Commander Yue shouted as they both dropped to the ground! The unlucky soldiers who weren't fast enough got blown away by the winds and kept moving in the air in a circle around the skies of the barracks! It was like a tornado had just appeared in the barracks! "What in the fuck is this! Charles!" Andreas shouted as he laid on the ground. Luo Cheng, Chen Lei, Dong Jian and Zhong Huang managed to get out of their bindings and laid on the ground as they tried to brave the strong winds!

Rain and wind poured down hard onto the barracks and the only two people standing were Charles and Er Hong. Er Hong crossed his arms, gritted his teeth and used all his strength to stand his ground! How could he allow himself to fly away by the wind when the foreign dog in front of him stood his ground calmly as though the rain and wind did not affect him at all! "This is bad, you have pissed off heaven!" Janko commented 'That was the plan, now that they have reacted I finally know that heaven does exist!' Charles replied to Janko as he looked towards the sky. The dark clouds didn't even look like clouds at all! They were shaped like two black serpent dragons dancing in the sky!

The roars of thunder and the flashes of lightning appeared as the four towers of the barracks crumbled into ashes from the lightning strikes. As though heaven was trying to show their might! "Look at what you have done you fool! Heaven is now punishing us for your idiocy!" Er Hong Shouted in anger! "If you think what I have said is wrong, then come and kill me then! I will meet your fruitless attempts at my life and I shall laugh as I stand over you!" Charles shouted as he rushed at Er Hong with "Dashing Rabbit Stike"! "You truly are a delusional foreign dog! Heaven! Grant me the strength to destroy this dog! Lend me your powers so he will never reincarnate!" Er Hong shouted as he greeted Charles's technique with his own!

The clashes of metal could be heard all over the barracks as the rain poured down like drums, the wind blew as though the heavens were singing and thunder roared as though heaven was shouting in delight! The fight between Charles and Er Hong was extremely bloody! They kept trading blows over and over again as both of them kept receiving small cuts from each other! They were evenly matched!
