Elite Initiate Corp(EIC)

After a few hours of waiting, the twins came back. Coincidentally, this was also the time when the remaining two of Team Lance were also released from the healing pods.

Of the two, Darius had seemed to be the most heavily injured but it turned out that they were all mostly surface injuries. Entsy on the other hand had multiple fractures in his legs and arms. He could not use his IN for at least 3 days during which he would regularly have to come back to the medical area.

What ensued next was a round of questioning regarding just how Lance had managed to save the day. He had no choice but to the follow the Castellan's orders which were to conceal his true IN. So, he said that he had managed to activate his sleeping Power IN. Afterwards, he had spent some time in a time manipulated chamber due to the courtesy of Attok(the fact that he was the Castellan's disciple also had to be kept a secret). This allowed him to master his power. As for the overwhelming punch which destroyed the Panzer, he said that it was a secret technique which was given again by Attok. He lied that it allowed him to multiply the effect of his IN for a limited period of time but disabled it afterwards while also causing enormous amounts of pain.

Although such a technique was almost nothing when compared to the incredibly rare technique modified for him by the Scholar, it still elicited gazes of awe from the rest of the team. What was really impressive was being able to learn and utilize such a technique in such a short period of time. Lance had actually turned out to be at least equal to or even more talented than the top ranked Darius and Entsy. With such a liberal ancestor though who had gifted both a super stylish suit and an overpowered technique, he was practically stronger than them right now. They also felt deeply touched by Lance's willingness to feel excruciating pain in order to save them. Their decisions to preserve the honor of Team Lance had not gone in vain.

The team split up and departed to their respective dorms after an hour or so of catching up. The results of the first mission were yet to be announced, but Attok had told him before leaving that certain teams which scored the highest in the first mission would immediately be given the second mission in a few days of time. The standard procedure was that a month of time would be given between each mission, so this exception of receiving back-to-back missions was actually quite significant.

It meant that they had been shortlisted to enter the Elite Initiate Corp or the EIC. The EIC comprised of the most promising initiates in all of humanity. Once back to back missions were completed successfully, they would be entered into a special training program which would enable them to cultivate at a speed that could only be dreamt of by the others. The goal was that each of these selected members could one day potentially become Legends and stand as a cornerstone for the human race.

This required an enormous amount of resources and the most experienced of training personnel. Thus, the selection was immensely stringent, with each and every aspect of each initiate being scrutinized with a magnifying glass.

On hearing that they were actually in contention to become part of the legendary EIC, the rest of the team had all jumped in joy. Once Darius explained to Lance all these details, he also could not help but smile as wide as his mouth would go.

3 days passed by in a flash. Lance trained as usual, trying to control the amplification with a finer touch and accumulating as much energy as he could. The next mission might just be physical instead of virtual like before.

The call that they had been waiting for finally came: it was time to embark on the next mission.
