The clouds are too big, bigger then back home. Back home Sameal would enjoy lying on a field of turf with his friend and looked up at thousands of miles into the empty sky and see clouds floating high above their head until the bell rings and they had to go back to class. But now…
The cloud floating above his fort cast a shadow that covers half the town. It looks massive and yet he could see the grasslands of rolling hills and mountains that stretched for countless miles. The mountain range in front of him was even bigger and higher than the cloud. The peak of the mountain was so high up that Samuel would not be able to see even if he could fly. He had seen the tallest building on earth before and he had seen skyscrapers in New York too but now this mountain seems even higher than that.
When Sameal scan his eyes across the land scape and he realized that this world really was vast. Then the tears stopped as fast as it had started and he turn his back toward the window while putting on his most serious expression and looked at the figure that was still tied on his bed.
Then Sameal proceeded to untie the rope that was muffling her mouth and stared at her for a while. The hood had long came off due to the struggling.
"Who are you? And answer truthfully or I'll call the guards and starve you."
Then for the longest time the two just had a sort of staring contest and finally the girl just sort of sighs and then Sameal saw the lost and the same feeling of loneliness in her eyes,
"I'm just a village girl trying to kill you. I know that I would never succeed but I've already lost everything... so whats the point. Before you execute me I want to tell you what your sister had done. I've decided to assassinate every one of your precious royal family just to bring her pain but I guess that was just a hopeful dream. Since you are located here and are the easiest one to assassinate, I've decided to start with you." The assassin struggle to get rid of the binding again with no success.
"Which sister is it and what had she done?" Sameal asked with a puzzled expression across his face.
"It's Gracia, when she was sent off by the king she was sent toward the port of Clearwater and on the way she came across our village. We welcomed her with open heart and offered her our beds and foods but in the darkness of the night she started to kill every one of the villagers. My father trying to save my life hid me in the wells and protect it with his life. Then I heard the soldiers commit unspeakable crimes against the women and children of the village. Then I heard the soldiers talk about why she wanted the whole village dead. The only reason she wanted us dead was because she plan to raise an army and she suspects that there was a spy hidden among the villagers sent from her brothers and sister. So basically my whole village died because she was paranoid. Then before the massacre was over I saw the body of my father dumped into the well all broken. I vowed to bring her pain." Then suddenly the assassin started to cry. The tears streamed down her pretty face. Realizing that her whole life has been torn apart simply because someone was paranoid. Feeling sympathy for the assassin Sameal decided to untie her and held her in his arm.
"I don't really know what to say… I mean if you want revenge then I'll you achieve it but I can't bring back your family. Since little I've known that my sister was just using us. I'm really sorry for all your loss but I can't really help except give you a new home…" Sameal said with pain because he doesn't really know what to say or do except hold her tighter in his hand. This feeling was probably even worse then what he had just felt. At least he knows that his family was still alive and maybe one day he would be able to go back, but for this girl it was tragic. Her whole family died infront of her and she even saw the body of all the people she had ever know. No wonder she would vow for revenge
The girl suddenly feeling the warmth of another person and the crashing reality that everyone she had known are dead. With the tiredness and grief she had held inside her while traveling for two month of the road just trying to get here and kill the man that was holding her now she suddenly broke down. The girl cried, harder then she had every cried before and hold on tighter to Sameal.
Then for a long time the two just laid there basking in the morning sun. A young girl with golden hair cried while holding on to a man she swore she would kill just for revenge. A man who had nothing to do with the murder of her family. A man who is holding on to her right now and promising to take care of her. The anger toward him melted and the only reason she was able to hold on for the past two month finally snapped and she cried. The sound of crying echoed throughout the room and Sameal hold her tighter in his embrace.
---
"What's your name?" Sameal said while trying to be as soft as possible holding on to the girl.
"Grace, my name is Grace." the girl seems to have calmed down and right now she is just sort of lying against him.
"It's a beautiful name…" Then silence shrouded the room again.
---
The peace was then suddenly broken by a very fast pace knocking and the booming voice or Uriel.
"My lord, our master's other apprentice has finally arrived! Come quick!"
Then Uriel seems to run back toward where he came from.
Then with sadness Sameal said, "You can keep staying here if you want, I need to see who had come to visit me because this may concern my future. When I come back I'll settle you down and you can just live here safely for as long as you want. I won't force you to stay with me but if you stay I can protect you from any danger to the best of my powers."
This was probably the only time Sameal had come into such close contact with a girl in his past life and now. With such a pretty girl too. Then realizing that he had just hold her with such closeness he could not stop a blush from spreading across his face.
"Hmm, I'll wait for you, I don't think I've anywhere else to go… Just… I don't want to sleep with you to cover my living expenses. I know I don't have the right to do this but if you can't accept my term then I should just leave." Grace stare at Sameal with anxiousness. Worried that the only reason he was so nice to her was because he wanted to take advantages of her.
"WHAT! No… I would never do that!" Sameal said with his whole face red as a tomato. Although he was hurt from the way she had said it. It's almost as if he was too ugly to sleep with her but he understood what she means. Grace seems like the kind of girl who would never lower herself to sleep with someone even if her life was on the line.
"Ok, then I'll wait for you." Grace finally sighed with relieve and sort of just looked at Sameal hoping that he would not go back on his words.
"Alright, I'll be back" Sameal said while rushing out the room. When Grace mentioned sleeping with him, he could not stop himself from picturing this pure and innocent girl…
While this was happening on the second floor, the first floor was currently in chaos as chief rushed to prepare the food and butler rush to clean the first floor. In the library sat Uriel shivering and sitting as straight as possible on the couch. Across from him sat a beautiful lady with a head of silver hair and eyes the color of emerald but for some reason whenever this pair of eyes stairs at him it scares Uriel. A man about 6ft 8 was scared by this lady who is several head smaller then him.
"Where's Lucifer? Why is he still not awake at this time of the morning? Does he not know that he needs to greet his elder disciple sister when she comes to visit?"
