Shui sect

Long Yang returned home and settled into his room. He continued his daily routine of cultivating. After a few days have passed, inside the room on the second floor of the Glory Sun merchant hall, Gong Sun reported to Elder Mei.

He saluted before reporting his findings, "According to what our information department have found out, there aren't any people who fit the conditions. We found a couple of people who fulfill the first three conditions but doesn't fulfill the final one. We found one who fulfills the first three who's cultivation we were unable to find out."

Elder Mei nodded, "This is good enough. Tell me the name of this person so I can pay them a visit."

Gong Sun nodded, "From what we've found, the young master of the Long Clan, Long Yang is 14 years of age, five foot five and male. He stays indoors most of the time and rarely comes out. He's never showed what cultivation level he's at, but we believe him to be at around the fifth or sixth qi gathering stage as his spirit soul is that of a Mystic tier."

Elder Mei squinted her eyes, "Do you have tabs or information on his activity these past few days?"

Gong Sun replied, "According to the information we've got from one of the doormen guarding the Long Clan entrance, the young master left the clan three days ago where he bought three hundred year old ginsengs and a fiery yang fruit from our hall. The strange thing is, shortly after returning to the Long Clan, he left once again but the doorman doesn't know where he headed to. Unfortunately, our information department couldn't find out where he went as well."

Elder Mei smiled with a strange glint in her eyes, "That's good enough. Thank you for your work, here." She took out a small dull black rock and placed it on the table, "A low tier spirit stone."

Gong Sun couldn't hide his excitement as he bowed, "Thank you, this is more than enough. I am glad to be of service, if you need anything else, I'd be glad to help."

Elder Mei shook her head, "I'll take my leave now."

Gong Sun said, "I'll get someone to escort you out."

She smiled, "There is no need." She got up and left Gong Sun alone.

At the Long Clan, Long Yang was still inside his room cultivating. He let out a breath as he got up, 'Breaking through to the foundation building stage isn't so easy, I'll need a while before I can make it. Whatever, that's not my main focus right now anyway. I'll focus on cultivation more after I unlock the extraordinary meridians. The more, the faster.'

Long Yang heard a knocking sound from the door, "Who is it?"

The door opened and Xiao Hong walked in with an excited look on her face, "Long Yang! Come quick! We have a very important guest!"

Long Yang was confused but he followed her out. They shortly arrived at the main hall and walked in. Inside was his father and a woman beside him who smiled when Long Yang entered.

Long Li grinned and walked over to Long Yang, "Come, come, say hello to Elder Mei. She's come all the way from the Shui sect here." He brought Long Yang in front of Elder Mei.

Inside Long Yang's mind, he could hear a voice, "Long'er, this is your father speaking into your mind. You better grasp this chance, the Shui sect is the overlord sect that rules over the nearby land including our town. If you perform well, she might take you as a disciple, don't let this chance slip."

Long Yang nodded and stared into Elder Mei's eyes. Elder Mei nodded, "I heard you have a Mystic Tier spirit soul?"

Long Yang nodded, his left eye turned blue as a blue light enveloped his body. He restrained the power to a minimum. Elder Mei's eyes turned yellow as she stared at Long Yang, she nodded albeit with a slight tinge of confusion that she quickly hid, "You do indeed have a Mystic Tier spirit soul. Are you willing to join the Shui sect?"

Long Yang didn't know what to say, "I..." He looked towards Long Li who nodded towards him. Long Yang took a deep breathe, "Okay, I will join the Shui sect."

Elder Mei smiled, "Good. We will leave in thirty minutes, prepare your things."

Long Yang was taken aback at the short amount of time he was given, "This..." Long Li interrupted Long Yang, "of course, Elder Mei, Yang'er will be ready and here within thirty minutes."

"I'll go back to prepare now." Long Yang quietly said before he left for his room. He quickly returned with a bag. He didn't have many possessions, so he only had a few pieces of clothing and the nine thousand worth of silver notes. When he got to the main hall, there were four people, his father, mother, Xiao Hong, and Elder Mei.

Elder Mei nodded, "We'll be leaving soon, there will be a carriage outside, I'll be waiting." She left Long Yang in the hall alone with the others.

Long Yang looked at the three as he teared up. His mother teared up as well as she turned to Long Li, "This is all so sudden, he's only fourteen, does he have to leave so early, so young?" Long Li shook his head, "Which is exactly why he has to go. Our town is too small for someone with the talent of our son, if we keep him, we'll do him more harm than good."

Long Yang hugged the three, his arms shaking. Xiao Hong took off a bracelet she wore on her wrist and handed it to Long Yang, "Here, this bracelet is ordinary, but this is the only thing my family left me before they died. I hope you will remember us when you leave."

Long Yang sniffled, "I would never forget." He hugged them all one last time before they walked him out to the entrance. He gave them one last look before he got into the carriage with Elder Mei inside.

The carriage driver slapped the reins and the carriage went. Soon, they were out of Fleeting Wind Town, heading east towards the Shui sect.

Inside the carriage, Long Yang sat silently across from Elder Mei who looked at him with a smile. Her eyes were yellow as she stared at his bag, her grin growing even wider, "So, Long Yang, is this your first time out of town?"

Long Yang nodded.

From her robe, she took out a vial and popped it open. She rolled the contents out onto her palm, "Long Yang, do you know what this is?"

Long Yang looked at the pill in her palm, his eyes widened a bit as he gulped, "N-No? That's a pill, right? But I've never seen such a pill before."

She chuckled at this response, "Oh well. By the way, sorry if I'm wrong but, isn't nine thousand silvers a bit too much for an ordinary person to have, even a young master such as yourself?"

Long Yang stared at her in shock, "Y-You!?"

She smiled, "I know."

Long Yang sat still, his right eye slowly turned red as red light enveloped his body. He prepared to fight and tried to get up only to find out that he couldn't move. His eyelids grew heavy, "You, what did you do to me?"

She smiled, "Scentless dream incense, unless you take the antidote beforehand, all cultivators under the foundation building stage will without a doubt fall asleep. Sweet dreams, they might be your last."

Long Yang's vision grew blurry as he lost consciousness.
