BSNW CH 068 Divine Ice Crystal Village

A few miles away from where the fight took place , was a half hidden vine covered cave. The cave looked no more special than the other hundreds of them around the landscape of the forest. But that was only at the surface.

Inside was a small secret base, well hidden to the normal eyes and only possible to be accessed while knowing a specific Jutsu formula, unique for every such hideout. In this particular hideout, Jun , Chino and Yakumo were gathering their strength while resting. Jun especially had the grimmest face he had ever put on since reincarnating to this world.

All these years he had matched up to all kinds of strong individuals, heck he had faced the nine tails himself and survived. But this was the first true loss he suffered. In that group most were young, not some old monsters who had been training for decades. Yet even with all his cheats, the best he could do was run with two of his companions while abandoning other two.

Feeling disgusted with his powerlessness, what made the situation worse was when he realized that the one they faced were all not fighting to their full potential, except that old man who got injured just because he was cocky. The sheer variety of talents in that group surprised him. A super powerful Kenjutsu user who defeated Itachi with a casual strike, an old man with a Dojutsu to suppress all Dojutsu, a guy who could break open Yakumo's strongest Genjutsu within a minute, a guy who could display the most powerful wind release which Jun never even saw in ancient warring times history books and most surprising of all a renegade Uchiha who had also awakened Mangekyo.

Even after all this, they still had two whose power he had no idea about, the serious looking girl who scolded the Uchiha and the young boy hidden at the back who healed the old man. For some reason Jun kept feeling an affinity to that boy somehow, as if they were same yet different, like two sides of a coin.

Yakumo and Chino were resting, and seeing that Jun didn't have the heart to disturb them anymore. Deciding to do the necessary himself, he made them fall into deep sleep with a simple sleep inducing Jutsu and summoned a True Body Shadow Clone to keep watch over them. Leaving the cave, he completely covered the entire place with his Shokuton Release and used them in combination with his Advanced Fuinjutsu to create a barrier that even a True Uzumaki would need some time to break through.

He Flying Thunder God to go back to the place of battle, finding it empty as usual. Unluckily he didn't have a tracking familiar like Kakashi, but if he just wanted to find them, he had other ways. He had two ways currently, one of which would be easier if the luck smiled upon him, while the other would be a tougher method which was basically brute forcing through in a way.

He decided to try the first method since he could always try the second one if he failed. Being around his Flying Thunder God multiple times, Kakashi and Itachi were sure to have some traces of the special chakra on them. He would try to sense them and lock onto them. Was a risky way of using Flying Thunder God and he could get injured heavily, but it was the fastest and the easiest method in his arsenal.

Sitting cross-legged on the ground, he sank into deep meditation, sensing the energies of the land and sky and all the residues of their fight. For the first time, he was using his sage method of sensing like Naruto often did after becoming a sage. It was a bit overwhelming, all the thousands of kinds of energy traces bombarding his senses at once.

He could now guess why Naruto was so dumb in general life yet so amazing while using the multi-shadow clone and using sage powers. One might go crazy with this amount of feedback. Naruto's simple thought process might be the one working in the advantage of him and helping him strengthen his mind in bearing all this.

Finally, after a few dozen minutes, he was able to isolate the traces of his Flying Thunder God Chakra. He followed it with his sensing abilities up to a mountain range hidden within the dense fog. His sensory abilities weren't able to penetrate the fog, but at least he knew where to go now.

He reached the foggy mountain range with a few jumps of the Flying Thunder God, a suicidal aura emanating from him. He swore to himself that if they had hurt Kakashi and Itachi in any way then he would wreak havoc upon this land even at the cost of his life.

Since he could no longer sense inside the fog with just his sage method, he decided to boost it a bit, which was also the second method he had planned to use to find Kakashi and Itachi.

'If I survive this, I am going to have a killer headache tomorrow' Jun thought as he activated the special method with a few hand signs.

"Sensory Combo - Sensing Hexagram Seal Reinforcement! Yin Release: Will Materialization!" Formless ripples surged around him as he unleashed his special combo he had been saving up for an emergency. Using them in addition to his Sage Sensing allowed him to peer through the sensory obstruction fog. Around half a mile in, the fog disappeared and Jun teleported in with ease.

The sight before his eyes flabbergasted him for a moment. Tall buildings and structures made of compressed ice which made them so opaque they looked like purplish-black crystals. They shone in the meager sunlight that filtered in, making them seem like glowing precious gems. This was an entire city here, albeit smaller than Konoha by a lot, yet the structures were so advanced.

And this was only the outer part. Looking further, Jun noticed that there also seemed to be an inner part to the city but was hidden with a huge wall made of the same compressed ice as the rest of the buildings which hid the inner part of the city.

Though it seemed like a city, there was not much noise here. Though the barest of murmur could be heard in the wind, he could see no one around. He could faintly sense a lot of life force from the other side of the wall which made him think there might be many people there and the buildings on the outside here must be for the guards and for those who might visit here.

Thinking so he took the first step into the city, wanting to find the traces of Kakashi and Itachi. The next moment however he came to a stop. Rightly so too since a Katana was pressed against his throat and would have lopped his head off if he took another step.

Looking out of the corner of his eyes, he saw two big creamy mounds being restrained by a black fishnet and barely covered with a thin jacket with embroidered flowers. Looking upwards he recognized black-haired beauty with a heart-shaped face, having a slight smirk on her plump red lips. She was the Kenjutsu master who sent Itachi flying effortlessly.

"Oda, you know the rules. No killing until he fails the test. You intimidate him enough and now let me talk." Jun heard a voice lightly scolding the Katana wielding girl and he recognized it as the voice of the brown-haired man who acted as the leader of the group.

The girl called Oda sheathed her katana without a word and stepped back. Turning around Jun saw the whole group of seven looking at him with varying expression. Chief among which he recognized the old man with furious disdain and the young brown-haired leader with an amicable smile looking at him with interest.

"Hello traveler, My name is Rikuo Kaneko and the place you are currently in is called the Divine Ice Crystal Village, previously known as Snow Covered Crystal Ravine."

Hearing this, Jun's eyes went wide open. He just realized that he would have ended up in his place one way or another, but the way he had taken to come here might possibly be the worst way and he might have also destroyed all chances to get the Third mirror and of saving his master.
