BSNW CH 077 Uzu Arrives in Konoha

For the next two months, Jun and the rest of the Pentagon worked hard to ensure that everything is fine in Uzu, while the two teams from Uzu leave for Konoha. Kana had thrown up a tantrum a few times before Tsunade promising that she will stay and help her, shutting Kana up finally.

After a lot of discussion, It was decided that Chino will not be participating, neither will Yakumo. Their Kekkei Genkai were a bit too noticeable. There was also the fact that Chino hadn't really grown up all that much over the years.

Despite getting older, she still had the baby face and midget like height, even if the rest of her body was developing better than girls of her age. Chino was what people in some circles call a legal loli. That combined with the fact that she literally manipulated blood and similar liquids, it made her sort of unforgettable.

Yakumo was even bigger taboo in leaf, she was a prodigy of Kurama clan, surpassing their elites even before she met Jun. They will go to war over her before they let her go, after knowing she is still alive. Especially since her weakened Yin body was healed thanks to Nature energy baptism.

After final discussion, two teams were decided as follows:

Team 1 - Bahamut (Jun Kigen), Haku and Karin

Team 2 - Kimimaro, Nazuna and Fu

Initially Jun had suggested that Secunde or Tertia come instead of Fu. However, Fu had insisted adamantly upon hearing that Naruto was a Jinchuriki too. She wanted to become friends with him, as she knew that Jinchuriki are usually heavily discriminated against.

Jun had challenged her that he would let her participate of she mastered any kind of sage mode, as they couldn't let Fu use Chomei's powers in Konoha, and she was kind of a one trick pony that used Chomei and his Kekkei Genkai for everything.

In a way she was the best amongst all Jinchuriki, even compared to Killer B of Kumo and Jun himself, when compared on the basis of compatibility and ease with which they can use their tailed beast's powers.

Jun still had not got used to Bahamut's powers, which in his current Stage 1 form were Illusion manipulation. Every Stage of Bahamut's evolution would give him access to more unique type of powers.

If left to his own devices, Bahamut manipulated Illusions and Reality with such ease that Yakumo had been defeated in minutes, despite her using Nature energy to reinforce her Illusions.

Bahamut had two main way of using his Illusions. In one, he would completely erase his presence using Illusion, such that none of senses of regular people, including chakra sensing techniques, could detect him no matter what.

Only a few special individuals, such as sages who can use Nature energy, would be able to vaguely detect him. This technique was called Meikyo Shisui, or Soul Mirror in Still Water.

The other technique he was fond of was called Kyoka Suigetsu or Mirror Flower of Water Moon. This was even more terrifying than Meikyo Shisui, as it fused Reality and Illusion together.

When using this technique, all of Bahamut's attacks, actions and presence were overwritten by an illusion. No one can be sure what Bahamut is doing even if they see him right in front of them. He could completely mask his actions and cover them with an illusion of something else.

The most terrifying part about the ability was that if target is once in the Illusion and believes it even for a split second, then they would be ensnaring their soul in it and would not be able to escape of their own volition. Only Bahamut or Jun could let them off after that. It was this technique, which was a borderline cheat, that had helped Bahamut defeat Yakumo so easily.

In Bahamut's description of his ability, 'Any of her attacks would be like trying to touch the actual moon while extending her hand towards a reflection on the pond. Her touch would only make the reflection ripple while the original moon is far out of her reach'.

Apart from this, Bahamut could also use regular Genjutsu based Attacks, but he usually preferred to disappear with Meikyo Shisui and attack them in close combat. His spirit beast physique gave him incredible sped, strength and reflexes, which Jun could also borrow when transforming to Bahamut's Stage 1 form.

Under Bahamut's instructions, Jun practiced these two abilities obsessively. Gaining basic proficiency in them before they left for Konoha was a must, as Jun had decided to limit himself to these two abilities along with his Ink release and normal Elemental Ninshu.

As Jun had been famous for Plant Style and Space Ninjutsu, he couldn't display those while in Konoha. Bahamut's techniques along with Close Quarter combat would be enough to defeat most enemies, for stronger ones he would use Ink Release to restrain them and finish it with Ninshu if they were Kage Level.

Fu had approached him then, barely a week before they were supposed to leave for Konoha. Her news shocked him greatly, the little minx had managed to devise her own form of sage mode and learned it.

She knew that she was a one trick pony, hence she had taken that skill to the max. Instead of using Nature energy or Elemental energy for sage mode, she used Chomei's energy itself. To be more accurate, it was Seventy percent of Chomei's energy, mixed with Fifteen percent of her own chakra and Fifteen percent of Nature Energy, to form her unique Sage mode chakra.

The girl was truly a genius. Her sage mode had none of the aura of a tailed beast, yet she could still use all of Chomei's powers easily. She would have to refill her Sage Mode chakra once she ran out of it, but Chomei could help with that create Sage chakra for Fu, benefit of two beings living in one body. Left with no option, Jun had to approve her accompanying them to leaf. She was ecstatic and kept hopping around for the whole day.

For the rest of the week, the two teams that were to go to Konoha, trained with each other to increase teamwork and get used to the amount of ability they were planning to display to Konoha. Of course they were not fools to show their entire arsenal to whatever moron is keeping watch at them from shadows.

In Team 1, Haku was cleared to only display Ice Weapons and speed type techniques, unless Jun announced Code Red. Same with Karin, who was allowed to use her Mind's Eye of Kaguya, a sensor technique, but not her Adamantine Sealing Chains, a summoning type sealing technique available only for Uzumaki with purest and strongest of bloodlines.

Jun himself was planning to limit himself to keeping Bahamut form the entire time, only using Meikyo Shisui and Kyoka Suigetsu, along with his weapon techniques, Ink release and normal Elemental Ninshu.

He also invented a variant of Shadow Shuriken Jutsu, Shadow Kunai Exploding Iron Rain, in which instead of a Shuriken, he replicated explosion rune coated Kunai. It took a bit more chakra, but he was not lacking chakra anymore.

Finally the day arrived that they had to leave for Konoha. They all had been provided with personalized combat suit based on our own designs, though Kimimaro's could barely be called a suit, it was more of a robe and kimono combined. They were all made with specially treated chakra fiber, making them more resistant to all kinds of attacks and were stretchy enough to not hinder our movements.

The only common thing in their combat suits was a big Uzumaki spiral, with the spiral lines made of tiny Fuinjutsu runes. The runes were not just for fashion, they were designed to hinder all type of Chakra Sensors and Dojutsus such as Byakugan or Sharingan.

Since they had time, They decided to take a relaxed pace while traveling to Konoha, passing through various small villages before finally reaching Konoha two weeks later. They took care of some random bandit groups to have more pocket money to spend, Kana had spitefully limited their allowance since both Karin and Jun were going to travel to Konoha.

When they finally reached Konoha, they were stopped at the gates, before being escorted to Hokage's office amidst armed ANBU escorts. Jun noticed signs of frustration on two of the ANBU, either they were mad at Uzu for threatening Konoha, or they both were sensors that failed to glean anything off them, or both.

After they were escorted there, the ANBU disappeared, but Karin subtly signaled that six were still around, just enough to match the number of 'kids' from Uzu. It seems they were still underestimating Uzu, or maybe just the teams that came to Konoha, because they were 'kids'. Even Kimimaro, the Oldest among them, was pretty youthful looking like the rest of them, thanks to the effects of Seven Immortal Stages and Heavenly Breathing Technique.

As they entered, they found Hokage puffing smoke in his office, with a Hyuga and a Yamanaka accompanying him. Jun easily recognized the signature Yamanaka eyes and features, and Hyuga were very obvious.

"Ah, Welcome, Allies from Uzushiogakure" Hokage greeted them first. It was both a formal welcome and a warning, they were only allies and would stick to the wording of the Alliance contract and nothing more. Well, it was not as if they expected anything else.

Kimimaro and Bahamut, as Jun decided to introduce himself by, gave casual greetings to Hokage and presented documents for their respective teams. Hokage let Yamanaka peruse through them, a display of superiority to show them Hokage was far above them. Kimimaro and Bahamut didn't show a single change in expression, just like the other fur of their teams.

After Yamanaka gave a positive nod to Hokage, the Third Hokage told them about the various arrangements that had been made. In a week, the Genin Konoha will be graduated from the academies. The two teams from Uzu will be assigned a team, and its Jonin captain, each to learn from for two months, so that they can see how ninja teams work. After which they will be assigned their own missions just like other teams.

They were provided with their own apartment residences, slightly away from the bulk of the village. But it suited Jun and the rest just fine, as they were not used to Leaf's enormous population anyway. In Uzu, all of them were warriors, despite them being of much lower quantity than leaf. It would take a few more years before Uzu can have a Civilian population.

For they rest of the week, Jun and the rest mostly trained in basic fitness routines, practiced their weapon techniques and explored Konoha. Jun would also disappear with Meikyo Shisui once in a while and visit his former friends.

He visited Sasuke first, as he was the brother of his former best friend. Jun still couldn't believe that Shisui was dead and that Itachi massacred Uchiha Clan. He saw Sasuke spend every moment of his time either training or brooding in silence. Jun wanted to help him, but couldn't currently.

Naruto seemed better than last Jun saw him. He had stopped pranks and other activities and mostly spent time with either Shika or Ino, who surprisingly had got very mature in her actions and would guide Naruto in his studies. It seemed that his disappearance had hit both of them hard and they had formed a bond.

Though Jun mostly stayed passive for the whole week, he did interfere in Konoha once during this week. One of Naruto's teachers had been plotting against the kid and had even become a spy for Orochimaru.

Jun decided to nip the problem in the bud and had sealed the man's chakra network, before taking him to a secret hideout with FTG. He summoned a clone then and tasked it to get all the information from the captured man before sending him to Uzu.

Finally, the graduation week came along, and it was pretty much normal without any drama. Bahamut and Kimimaro's teams were introduced to the teams they will be accompanying. Kimimaro's team was assigned to Team 7, consisting of Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno and Kiba Inazuka, led by Kakashi Hatake. Jun's Team was assigned to Team 8, consisting of Hinata Hyuga, Shino Aburame and Naruto Uzumaki, led by Kurenai Yuhi.

Jun could easily figure out Hokage's thought process. Kimimaro's team looked stronger at first glance, thanks to Kimimaro's aura and Fu's activities. Hence they had been assigned to Kakashi, so that he could keep an eye on them.

In Jun's team, they had Karin, a clear Uzumaki descendant. He wanted Naruto to naturally grow closer to Karin so that they would either get more affinity from Uzu, or make Karin reveal more information inadvertently. Also, having a female captain would allow Karin to grow closer to Kurenai through female bonding.

The Hokage was smart, but his plotting was useless since Uzu was not planning anything malicious. In fact, Uzu could be said to be honoring the alliance much more than Konoha was. Jun and the rest currently being in Konoha was just a whim. These past few years, they had all worked really hard to establish Pentagon and Uzushiogakure. Hence they were taking a break right now, 'to stop and smell the flowers' as the saying went.

Hence, whatever Konoha was planning would ultimately be useless. Jun would at most remake some bonds with his former family and friends He was not going to be shackled by Konoha again however, that ship had long sailed past. Until the Konoha of old changed its ways, Uzu and Jun would only maintain relation as Allies, but not friends.
