Kurenai smiled at that, "You did very well Naruto-Kun, protecting your teammates to the very last moment. Now, let's see if you manage to endure the final attack. Demonic --"

"And 3, 2, 1 …. Game over. Illusionary Reality: Mirror Flowers the Moon in Water, 'Kyoka Suigetsu'!"

Kurenai was surprised as her surrounding started to ripple and shift. The more she moved and tried to figure things out, the hazier it got.

"Illusion Flames: Cherry Blossoms Dancing on Soul Mirror" the same voice intones, his voice echoing dreamily as hundreds of thousands of Cherry blossom petals floated down around Kurenai.

Just as she subconsciously tried to touch one, the petals transformed to pink flames with blue tinge. They burnt Kurenai to ash within seconds and when disintegrated that ash soon enough, so that no trace of it was left.

Kurenai woke up with a gasp, only to see her students sitting in front of her waiting for her to wake up. She quickly understood that she had been defeated with a Genjutsu.

"Hope it was not too hurtful" Bahamut came forward and said cautiously. Hearing his voice, Kurenai instantly recognized it as the voice in the Genjutsu.

"Actually, I am both fascinated and horrified at that Genjutsu" Kurenai admitted "I couldn't escape it no matter what, as if I was trapped in a puppet show with me being the puppet."

"Sorry for that, it is my personal technique, a bit different from regular Genjutsu" Bahamut admitted.

Kurenai smiled at that, "Oh I agree, it was fantastic. As a fellow Genjutsu user, I both admire your technique and at the same time want to erase your memory so that I never have to face such a technique again."

Bahamut and Kurenai laughed at that, but Kurenai knew that she was at some level speaking her true feelings. That illusion was really something, she had to call it Illusion as it was no mere Genjutsu. Those trapped in it would clearly know its not real yet not able to do anything, except watch it being done as an audience.

"Anyway, other than the Genjutsu I made fool of myself in, I would like to say that you all did pretty well" Kurenai said with a smile "By the way, Where was Karin Chan during the time we were fighting?"

"Oh that," Bahamut recalled "She was coordinating all our attacks through a type of Mind Communication technique."

"But I didn't see her anywhere?" Kurenai said puzzled.

"Because you were trapped in a focused illusion from the beginning of the fight." Bahamut explained "Kyoka Suigetsu was the second Illusion I cast. First one was Illusionary Reality: Soul Mirrors the Still Water, 'Meikyo Shisui'!"

Bahamut demonstrated by disappearing from right in from of her eyes. Kurenai couldn't believe such a terrifying Genjutsu or, as Bahamut called it, Illusion exists. It showed no fluctuation or weakness. It was methodical, measured and perfect. She had no sight, sound or presence of Bahamut, despite her trying her hardest to sense him.

She looked at him with respect when he reappeared. If she told this to the Hokage, he might ask her to learn it at any cost. It was a perfect infiltration technique, far above their transformation and stealth techniques.

"Well, I think with that I should wrap this test for today. Hinata, Naruto and Shino, I am glad to announce that you will be Team 8 and I will be leading you until you become Chunin." Kurenai congratulated them before turning to Bahamut and the other two.

"And I am honored to work alongside you and exchange pointers. You are already more than my equal, and it would be presumptuous of me to assume I can teach you." she said with a self-deprecating smile.

"On the contrary, you couldn't be more wrong Kurenai-san" Bahamut said while shaking his head "Why only yesterday we found a new application for a very commonly seen and used jutsu, and we even managed to make new versions from it. Knowledge is everywhere, we just have to be open minded enough to look for it."

Kurenai cheered upon hearing him say that that, and started pondering if she can use inspiration from his technique to refine her own Genjutsu. After she instructed everyone to meet up at the mission center, sharply at seven in the morning.

They all assembled dutifully on time at the mission center to get their first mission as Genin. Bahamut and the other knew that they will only be getting D rank missions for a while, but he had planned to prank the Hokage for trying to spread bad rumors about them.

Kurenai led hem to the mission center, where a bunch of Chunin were assigning and recording mission details. As expected, despite the hopes and expectations of Team 8, they got a bunch of D rank, over a dozen, to complete within the week.

This was because Team 8 and Team 7 had Uzu teams supporting them, and hence were assigned extra missions. Usually, Genin teams would barely get half a dozen D rank missions at max per week.

Seeing that most of the missions involved stuff like chores, painting fences and buildings, and weeding gardens, Bahamut made a strategy. Asking Kurenai sensei to simply watch and not interfere, he gave detailed plans to the other five.

Karin and Naruto were paired together by Bahamut, and given responsibility of missions like weeding and milking cows. Karin was the one to volunteer for this mission in the first place, as she decided this would be a good way to train Naruto in the Jutsu she taught him.

Hinata and Haku were assigned the mission concerning deliveries or searching for things. With Hinata's Byakugan and Haku's speed, they were perfect for these type of missions. They included meal deliveries, package deliveries from various cloth and weapon stores and the search for the Immortal Sneaking Cat, Tora the Mysterious.

Bahamut and Shino took the jobs concerning demolition of rubble, garbage cleaning and painting jobs. Shino had a special type of bug specializing in devouring any type of material to fill its belly. For Painting, Bahamut planned to use Ink Release to complete it in an instant. It was a waste of chakra, but speed over efficiency was his current goal.

By the time sun lazily started its descent, Team 8 felt wiped out like never before. Uzu team had made them use their specialities to the max level, Shino's bugs refused to eat anymore, Hinata's eyes felt dry and exhausted, and Naruto felt chakra exhaustion for the first time in a very long while.

When they submitted the report for thirteen D rank missions completed in a single day, a cacophony of shocked exclamations was heard in the mission center. It was also first time in the history of Konoha that a team had made over a Hundred Thousand Ryo in a single day by just doing D Rank missions.

This series of events continued for the next two weeks, baffling the Civilian Council and Konoha Upper Elites. For the first time in forever, they were running out of D Rank Missions to assign. Moreover, they did each mission with perfect record, no complaints could be found from the mission givers.

At the end of the two week prank by Bahamut, no garden in Konoha was left with weeds, entirety was Konoha was repainted freshly as if new-made, all garbage accumulations had disappeared, thieves and pickpockets had hidden themselves in hibernation.

Even Tora, the Stubborn, Immortal and Mysterious cat, had finally given up to his fate for the time being. Having been caught by the same team consecutively six times, without a single scratch of its precious claws on their faces or hands, had really hurt its morale and ego. Tora's obese owner was so overjoyed by the result that she gave Team 8 and Uzu Team 1 a big bonus.

Shops of Konoha had so many packages delivered that they were out of even backlogged orders. Unless more orders came and they prepared the finished goods, they could no longer give more missions.

Only D Ranks left were a few animal husbandry missions and few babysitting jobs. For the first time in forever, there were more teams than there were missions. And the culprits responsible for this, were throwing an All-You-Can-Eat Barbecue party at the Akimichi Barbecue Restaurant along with their beautiful sensei, enjoying the Millions of Ryo they had earned.

Hinata, Naruto and Shino were eating, or rather devouring, food like rabid animals. Bahamut' Uzu team had run them ragged over these past two weeks. They wanted to complain about slave driving and child abuse, but the Uzu team had in fact done over 65% of the missions.

But they were also glad to be paired with Bahamut's team. Bahamut and his team had instructed them the entire time on the missions and gave innovative ideas that helped them used Ninjutsus to complete the work faster. It also increased their mastery over various Ninjutsu by leaps and bounds.

Naruto had mastered the Chakra Tentacles, even learning how to use them innovatively and improving their power. Karin had also instructed that in future he could combine it with various elemental release to create more variations. She had taught him the Infamous Shadow Clone technique too, making him a one man Genin army.

Haku had instructed Hinata in the Art of Senbons. She had learnt to combine Byakugan and Senbons coated with Gentle Fist, and created her own technique, Gentle Rain of Silent Hail. If she was given even a moment's leeway, she would be able to turn a shinobi into a paralyzed porcupine.

Shino had trained with Bahamut improve his Chakra control and perfect his communication with bugs. Bahamut had also instructed him in various exercises and techniques he could use to rapidly develop his mind energy and physical energy, increasing chakra amount as a result.

By the end of two weeks, Kurenai could barely recognize her team. They had grown stronger, faster and deadlier. It was hard to see this kind of progress in Genin teams, even when she had been participating in Third Shinobi War, and they literally had death as motivator then.

However, she had to give equal credit to both the mentor and the mentee. Her team 8 was a really hardworking team, learning everything Bahamut's team instructed them in like a sponge.

Kurenai had wanted to create a perfect sensor type team, and Bahamut had helped her make it a reality. Hinata with her Byakugan, Shino with his Bugs, and Naruto with his unparalleled instincts and Shadow clone army, had finally made her vision come true.

Determining that it was time, Kurenai applied for the first C rank of her team. Hokage looked at her request seriously, as it involved not only a Jinchuriki and two clan heirs, but also three wild cards, who according to reports were Jonin in all aspects but the title.

However, he had no concrete reason to disapprove her request, hence he had to give in and approve it. Team 8 and Uzu Team 1 finally got their First C rank thanks to Bahamut's prank.
