Triple Kill.

The day was beautiful as the wall built by the Liberaton Gods started to succumb to the weight of the world at this very moment.

It was another attack that sent a large cannon ball from the Fortuna ships into the walls.

Marcus jumped away to dodge the impeccably large bricks sent blasting that nearly killed almost a hundred people on its entry.

'Ah, so they decided to bring the navy.'

Marcus ran quickly towards Sam's house as the attack began that would become known as the turning point of the war.

However, he was not yet aware that today would be that turning point. All he wanted to do was get back to the house to give the ward and steal the girl.

Yet, things didn't always go as planned on days with such beautiful weather. Another cannon ball shot towards him before that cannon ball decimated a tree. Behind him, a couple was once there kissing, and now all that was there was a fire and bones.

In a few minutes, the shocked government port finally activated their navy and sent their ships to retaliate. Unfortunately, it seemed the Fortuna really wanted the port. It was a nice continent with three dungeons if he remembered correctly, and both had activities that kings desired.

There was places to hunt in the mountains, and keeps that led to gold.

He ignored the raining shrapnel as he arrived in front of Sam's house.

"Hey, you're not going to believe this, but I leveled up at the temple today. Can you believe it?" Sam smiled over towards him and took out the envelope.

It was possible for civilians to use faith to level up, and certain ceremonies would grant more power to individuals. Some said that the praying was a type of meditation in itself. However, others believed in level 300 gods that stayed up in the air waiting to bestow gifts.

Regardless, Marcus just wanted to leave and impatiently replied.

"Give me the ward and I'll let you go."

Marcus nodded his head and drew out the rolled tapestry before he tossed it over towards Sam.

"So, you want to tell me when you plan to use that on your wife," Marcus said pointing to the two guards. "

Sam smiled before he kissed it. "I'll probably use it tonight once she goes to sleep. After all, it takes like three minutes to chant. Anyway-"

Sam looked over and realized no one was there. He scratched his head before he waved the guards over.

"Hey Mau—"

[Ding! You've used backstab for the first time]

Marcus stuck the blade in and out quickly before he counted in his head. There was a dagger in his hand and today was the day to test out the accessory by the blacksmith. He held onto the string as he threw the knife in the air, and with a flick of the wrist tapped the line lightly before it twisted around Mauls throat.

Antonio, who was by his side, ran towards the thing string as he pulled out his blade.

It was two men eagerly trying to survive, and the battle would last only a few seconds before someone was victorious. A dagger that seemed to fast to see shot out of Marcus's hand before a shocked and baffled Antonio topped down on top of three throwing knives.

He walked over their dead bodies, and kept the sword for himself.

A minute later, he walked inside the house and smiled.

The man's wife was there sitting on the couch along with a girl he recognized.

It was Eliza on the couch and the entire room seemed oddly quiet like the sounds of war didn't exist for a moment.

"Uhm, what are you doing here… Eliza. I thought we talked already sweat heart. I told you I needed a few years first…"

Eliza laughed before she stuck out her hand. "What are you talking about… Marcus. You played a really bad joke, and left a ring in the safe for me with a letter. Did you forget about that?"

Marcus gasped before he looked over at the wife who was bringing over some tea.

"Come in!" The wife he was supposed to rob said. "She was bringing over three cups of tea to the table as Eliza fixed her skirt. "She happened to see you walking out of here earlier, and we talked about you for a few minutes. It seems you're quite a lucky man."

"Yes. I even showed her the ring you bought me. It's so beautiful and gorgeous! I feel like you played the meanest prank on me ever Marcus. However, I'm going to get you back tonight." Eliza bit her mouth and padded to the seat next to her.

Once again, Marcus didn't know what to say.

'What were the chances of this happening… I… I acted like a jerk… Uhm…. What should I do.."

It was coincidences like this that made it easier to ignore the sounding of cannon shots blasting in the background. He took a deep breath, and sat down next to the two girls.

"Well, Eliza… I'm going to have to hurt your feelings and tell you to go home. I got to take this lovely lady here to a friends house before her husband comes home. By the way, May, we're going to have to leave now… Antonio and Maul are sleeping."

"Bu—"

"Nope, can't tell you why they're sleeping. I think we should go now."

Eliza giggled as Marcus grabbed their hands and pulled them to the back door.

As they were leaving, a cannon ball happened to rip into the roof, and tear through their living room window.

A second later, Eliza screamed before she saw her husband crushed on the grass.

"Honey…. Omg!!!"
