Trevon became a target of everyone's attention. Even when he dared to act cool in front of other young masters, being looked at by many old people was nerve-wracking for him.
"Hahaha." Trevon took his fan. This time he used the fan to cool his hot face.
Pieter looked into Trevon. [Have you asked Master Creator?]
Trevon sighed. [It finally comes to this.] He thought.
[Yes, Grand Elder Pieter. However, Master Creator doesn't want people to know that he helps me.]
[Fine. Nobody in our family will tell about Master Creator's involvement.] Pieter then looked at Lance. Lance nodded to Trevon.
"This Rabbink truly doesn't involve in this." Master Rabbink complained. "You use my name too easily."
[Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!] Trevon dismissed the Rabbink. Master Rabbink just left Trevon alone. It took some chicken wing from it knew where.
"Hahaha. Why did everyone look at me?" Trevon closed his fan. He tried to remember how the heroes in the novel acted during this time of crisis.
"Young Master, you have managed to break the barrier before. Please break this one too!" Ramos gave a fist and palm salute first to Trevon.
"Ah! This is not easy. I need to calculate first." Trevon had to act. Otherwise, people would find it was strange. The young master was confident after reading 'Library of Heaven Path' and 'Ultimate Scheming System'. [I will follow the footstep of excellent heroes before me. Toward the scheming path!] He looked resolutely.
"Hmph…" Bamboo Old Man's descendant stood and waited for Trevon. His deep eyes looked that he didn't believe Trevon could do that. The younger Bamboo was good looking with his scholarly face, a sharp nose, and a pointed masculine jaw. That kind face made Trevon's competitive streak appeared. Anyone handsome who wasn't his brother was a competitor.
Trevon looked back with another proud gaze. [I have broken this but you haven't.] He thought in his heart with a smiling on his face.
Trevon came closer to the barrier. He saw the Bamboo Old Man's descendant held a board with an arrow. Some strange diagrams were etched on the board.
[What is that?] Trevon didn't know anything. He couldn't even recognize the drawing on the board.
"That board?" The Rabbink floated next to Trevon. "Ah! It is a very basic method to calculate a formation. With those ancient and very outdated tools, you could calculate the spiritual energy movement. After you calculate the spiritual energy movement…" Master Rabbink showed his knowledge as the guide.
[Stop! Stop! Stop!] Trevon almost wanted to sleep again. He didn't like those technical detail things.
Trevon had looked the young man used those tools to check the formation. [I should unlock some beginner lesson on the formation…] He thought.
"Yep. You should." Master Rabbink finally found Trevon was interested to learn something outside of getting girls. Trevon even learned the beast contract lesson to avoid getting tricked by a female demon. [He finally had some growth. Forced to fight the bandits had its effect.] The Rabbink almost cried.
[… later.] Trevon hadn't finished his thought.
"GAH?!" Master Rabbink became disappointed again. "WHAT?"
Everyone looked to Trevon who stood next to the barrier. He stood while closing his eyes. While his right hand kept fanning himself.
Everyone looked at Trevon. Only the young formation builders who still continued their calculation around the formation.
"How long do we need to wait again?" A rogue cultivator in a red robe asked his friend.
"Perhaps the barrier will disappear like the others with an empty building." His friend also didn't believe in the young Trevon.
"Shusssh! Calculating a formation is a hard and difficult thing. You should not disturb his concentration." Another rogue cultivator joined their conversation.
"Look the young master finally moves. He must have sensed the formation."
Trevon touched the barrier. It was still soft and bouncy. A ripple of barrier showed when he touched it.
"Hm…" Trevon pretended. He then nodded. Everyone looked at Trevon.
"Did he find something?" The red robe rogue cultivator stood and felt shocked. "He just checked the formation."
"I think so. This barrier will be broken soon." Another rogue cultivator quickly wore his battle armors.
However, the person who became everyone focus only smiled. Trevon looked to the old man descendant.
[I need to use tools to make this calculation thing cooler. Hahaha.] He walked toward the Bamboo Old Man's descendant.
"I need Brother's help." Trevon smiled while giving a polite palm and fist greeting. "Could I borrow your tools?"
[Hahaha. I must look cool and elegant. Hahaha.] Trevon thought. He smiled for the cool himself.
[What?] Bamboo Old Man's descendant almost didn't believe what he had heard. "Did you just ask to borrow my tools?"
"Yes." Trevon confidently said. [Hmph! This young man is stinky. Wait until I sold one in the Universe Store! I will return many to you.]
"…" The young Bamboo opened his eyes to the fullest. He looked toward his grandfather. [Grandfather, are you sure he had broken this formation before?]
[I don't know.] The old Bamboo looked at Lance. Lance pretended to drink his tea and talked with Pieter.
[What happened?] Trevon looked to the people. They were busy discussing among themselves. Some people seemed to explain thing to their friends from the spiritual sense movement in the air.
"Erm… Did I do something wrong?" Trevon couldn't believe this. The formation builder community was really stinky.
"Are you really a formation builder?" One of the young Bamboo's friends asked.
"Yes. Of course! While I am still learning to build a formation, I am the number one in breaking a formation."
"…" Everyone stopped speaking. Trevon couldn't feel the spiritual sense movement.
"Blurrtt…" Even Grand Elder Lance couldn't pretend. "It is too hot. Hahaha."
Other top cultivators looked at Lance. [Like a bit heat matter to a cultivator at our level.]
Pieter lowered his head.
"Eh? Did I say something wrong?" Trevon felt the situation was strange.
"Fellow Brother, building a formation is easier. However, a Grand Master formation builder might not be able to break a formation set by another formation builder." Young Master Bamboo tried to act cool and dignified by explaining that to Trevon. Nevertheless, he needed some cultivation to prevent himself from laughing.
"AH? Is that so?" Trevon didn't know. [Oh! God!]
"…" A rogue cultivator looked to his friend. [It seems the end of Ironlaw family.]
[Yeah. Agree.] They spoke using the spiritual sense, but it didn't escape Master Rabbink's detection.
"Hahaha. My teacher only taught me how to break a formation. However, I am sure of breaking this formation. May I borrow some tools, Fellow Brother?" Trevon felt he should quickly do his acting.
"Uhuk… Uhuk…" Young Master Bamboo only coughed before looking at his friend looking for help.
"I am sorry, Fellow Brother. Young Master Sten Bamboo's tools are customized for him. Each person had a different elemental affinity and different spiritual energy pattern. You can't borrow other people tools. Else, your calculation will be wrong." The friend of young Bamboo needed to explain to Trevon.
"Eh? Is that true?" Trevon couldn't believe he made two huge mistakes. He wanted to act like a professional, but he made a fool of himself.
[Sh*t! Those novels are making this scheming seems easy.]
"Hahaha. I am only joking. Hahahaha." Trevon wanted to end this quickly. [Oh, God!] He fanned himself faster.
"I give up. If you want to pretend, you should at least have a little knowledge!" The Rabbink wanted to send a love punch to Trevon, but Trevon was in the center of people's attention.
[I will. Later. That's it. Later.] Trevon admitted he made a huge fool of himself. Luckily, his face was thick. He took his fan and fanned himself. "Aih! Today is hot. Gwahahaha."
Cold sweat appeared in many cultivators. The rogue cultivators used this chance to gossip. An event won't be fun without gossipers.
"Do you see that? Oh, God! Did people really hope for this young master to break the barrier?" The red-robed rogue cultivator once again opened the discussion.
"I will eat my hat if he could break the barrier." Another rogue cultivator joined. He wore a straw hat.
"I will eat this table if he could." Another rogue cultivator with big body didn't want to lose. He pointed toward the table used in the room.
"Wait! You shouldn't say that. He had broken one before. Don't you see the Ironlaw's elder words?" A good Samaritan said.
"How could he break without a calculation tool? Hahaha." The big body rogue cultivator laughed.
"Yeah, I know a bit of formation builder. You need personal calculation tools to do that. Even an apprentice would start by having his own calculation tool. Some formation builders even had several tools depending on their condition." A scholarly person joined the conversation.
"How about we make a bet?" A gambler appeared. "I bet he couldn't do that. Who dares to bet with me?!"
[What?] Trevon heard the word. He looked into the group of people who made a bet on him. They put some money on the table.
"Wait!" Trevon came to the tables. He ran very fast. As the number one young master in Bluestar, he couldn't miss such a gamble, especially if he was the subject.
[He returned to the table? Shouldn't he start to calculate now?] Everyone thought that.
People had already put their bet on the table.
They put the bet on whether Trevon could break the formation or not. The bet even included the time Trevon's needed to break the barrier.
[Oh! No.] Ramos only submitted his family fate to the God. He would also put Trevon would fail after seeing the development. [He was only lucky before!]
Trevon saw the betting table. A column of time with some name and money below it.
Seventy percent bet that he couldn't break the barrier. Ten percent bet that he could break the formation in under two hours. While twenty percent bet that he could break only after two hours. No one would bet that he could break it under one hour. Even the young master of Bamboo family couldn't break it in under one hour.
"Are you joking?" Trevon couldn't accept that low number. He took a spirit stone and put it in the lowest time, under fifteen minutes. Nobody could imagine anything lower than that.
"Hmph… Look at this!" Trevon returned to the barrier with a wide walk.
Ramos had already given up hope when he saw Trevon could bet first before saving his family. He wanted to strangle the young master, but he knew that couldn't change his family fate.
The young master of Bamboo family and his friends still carefully checked the formation.
"Hey! I made a discovery. I find more water elements in this part. This must be the Water Gate." One of the young men shouted.
"No. There are more water elements in this position." Another young master shouted while pointed to the barrier in front of him.
"Brother Sten? What do you think?" A young man asked the young master of Bamboo family.
Sten Bamboo only frowned when he heard that. This happened multiple times and made the calculation hard. [It seems we need to recalculate again. Sigh…] He looked into his own formation compass.
"We need to recalculate again." Sten Bamboo chanced the location of the pin on his compass board. His handsome face was filled with frown again. [This is a formation with moving gate. We need to find the pattern.]
"Find the pattern!" He shouted. The shout made some young formation builders looked dejected, but they followed their genius brother.
Meanwhile, those people were busy calculating, Trevon took his beloved Dark Demon Slayer. Of course, the sword's appearance had already been modified. Even the Redwood family wouldn't believe that was the same sword that exploded in their banquet.
The family Blacksmithing Department had modified the external appearance of Dark Demon Slayer. They added fire dragon on the sword to signify that was the property of the McArthur family.
"Look! He wants to attack the formation." A rogue cultivator shouted.
Trevon had unsheathed his sword.
"Sh*t! Run!!!" The young man who stood next to Sten Bamboo shouted. They were afraid of getting a counter-attack from the defensive part of the formation.
Trevon himself prepared by eating several spiritual energy recovery pills. He used his 'Weakness Scan'.
While people saw him returned to put the gambling bet. Trevon actually tried to make a new portal for him to escape like a mouse. He wanted the chance for running away. Unfortunately, he still couldn't do that even far away from the barrier. It seemed some fighting occurred in the area.
Trevon looked into the red glow that appeared on the formation.
[F*CK!] Trevon fell to the ground. His legs felt like a jelly again.
"See? He failed." One of the gamblers laughed. Even the young formation builders around who had tried to run away stopped.
"He must be lucky previously." A rogue cultivator spoke openly.
[Not again!] Trevon threw his sword again into the red glow. [Can't I look cool when breaking a formation?]
The sword pierced the barrier.
"GAAAAAAHHH!!! He threw his sword! RUN!!!" One of the young formation builders shouted. Every young formation builder tried to escape far from the barrier.
"Eh?' However, the young man who just screamed also felt strange. He didn't sense a counter-attack from the formation.
"Prang… Prang… Prang…" Mirror-like shards showed a similar castle, but the one in front of them was filled with bloody smells.
"This is unreal, right?!" The man who promised to eat his hat shouted.
"I hope you have a delicious hat brother."
The man who promised to eat his hat quickly started to bite his hat. As a cultivator, he had stronger teeth and chewed the hat.
"…" The one who promised to eat table was in the worst condition. At least a hat was made from soft straw, but he had mentioned this table made from spirit woods.
"Brak…!" He used his spiritual energy to turn the table into dust.
"Hahahaha." I was shocked by the broken barrier. He pretended to suck the air around and made some chewing movement.
No matter what a cultivator had the creed to fulfill his or her promises. Once broken, people wouldn't believe the person and even his or her families.
Nevertheless, not many people could care about the shameless cultivator. Since the most dangerous thing was stood before them, the Ironlaw family's castle which might be filled with the undying monsters.
"Damn! He broke that fast!!!" Some family elders shouted.
"Eh?" Trevon felt surprised. [Didn't you ask me to break this formation?]
"We haven't called our Rank 3 Grand Elders!!!" One of them shouted.
"We haven't fully evacuated the people." A leader of guards complained.
[You didn't tell me to wait!] Trevon wanted to cry. He was still sitting on the ground recovering his spiritual energy. This formation was taking his energy more than the one in Melody Cave.
"Brak!!!" People could hear some sounds from inside the castle.
"There is still fighting inside." Ramos's face was brightened.
"Use our advantage! Those fallen bodies couldn't jump. Use a high position to fight!" Bamboo Old Man shouted using spiritual sense.
[Trevon, stay around me.] Pieter jumped next to Trevon. He grabbed Trevon and brought him back.
[Yes, Grand Elder.] Trevon was taken back into the restaurant. He still tried to recover his energy. Nevertheless, he smiled at the betting people. One of them put the winning money for Trevon and left it near Trevon before left the teahouse.
The cultivators surrounded the castle. However, nobody dared to enter the castle first. Everyone looked to the familiar, but currently strange castle. Even Ramos, Roya, and Homa didn't dare to enter the castle alone.
The towering black pillars looked like an open beast's mouth at this time.
Ironlaw castle looked mighty if one saw from a close distance. The castle was built by the Dwarf so their architecture was in their style. A black metal was the main materials for the castle. Some said that the dwarves used the finest iron from the old mine.
Trevon could count one hundred towers with different height on it. All were tall with a sharp pole on top of them. From outside it was a black iron forest.
The highest tower on the castle could reach one hundred meters. Each tower as large as a pagoda. The castle took a very wide area of the mine floor. He couldn't see the end of the castle from the place he stood.
From his position, Trevon could see a fifty-meter-tall iron gate separated the castle and the world outside. The castle gate was one-hundred-meter-long with two big towers stood on its left and right. However, Trevon couldn't see anyone defending the castle. Its door was still closed showing an impenetrable fortress.
Outside of the castle was twenty-meter-wide water moat. However, it was red with blood. Perhaps some blood from fighting in the castle poured into the waterways then into the moat. Several huge fights must have happened inside. Based on the booklet, the water should be clear that people could see the demon beasts inside. Ironlaw family raised some water demon beasts on it for protecting their castle.
Trevon knew the Debt Collector used number and stamina to defeat Downbridge family. No matter what, a warrior couldn't fight non-stop at full concentration. Meanwhile, the fallen body acted like an animal on an instinct, they were also indestructible. Once a person missed the concentration, he would get bitten or scratched, which would turn them into a fallen body.
All cultivators felt nervous with the sudden break of the barrier. Once many high-ranking fallen bodies appeared, it was the end.
"Destroy the entrances!" Bamboo Old Man shouted.
"Yes!" Some imperial family guards activated several blazing talismans. They had prepared for this and targeted the bridges which connected the castle with the outside world.
The castle had four entrances, North, South, East, and West. The south was the biggest one. It was the entrance directly in front of the restaurant.
"Duaaar!!!"
"Duaaar!!!"
"Duaaar!!!"
"Duaaar!!!" One by one the sound of blasting shouted from distance.
Trevon saw the bridge which reached the castle was blown away.
Bamboo Old Man bet that those fallen bodies couldn't fly, jump, or swim.
"We will assemble a team to save the survivor." Bamboo Old Man shouted.
Some guard brought several small ships towards the moat. A cultivator could jump on those ships into the castle. While this allowed the cultivators to come, they believe those fallen bodies wouldn't be able to go outside.
[Is this enough, Master Rabbink?]
"What? This moat? Impossible. While the fallen body couldn't fly or swim, they could walk from the shallow part of the moat."
[I read in the booklet, the Ironlaw family raised some demon beasts inside the moat. Those fallen bodies will be eaten.]
"Good! That will be fun. Gwahahaha." Master Rabbink laughed.
[Special Mission Unlocked.]
[Lv 25 Special Mission: Kill a crocodile-type demon beast turned fallen body.]
[Mission Reward: 15.000 Destiny Energy.]
[Mission Description: During the battle at the Ironlaw Castle, the Bluestar number one young master will fight against a crocodile-type demon beast which has turned into a fallen body. Show the power of an apprentice God. Gwahahaha!]
"This should be fun. Just accept this bonus from this Rabbink! You can't avoid that. Gwahahaha."
[Do you want to accept? This mission will disappear in 10 seconds.]
[Sh*t!] Trevon wanted to pee. That was a level twenty-five mission.
"Grand Elder Pieter, I want to go to the toilet." Trevon wanted to run away.
"You shouldn't go anywhere. Stand next to me! I will protect you."
[Eh? I have this Rank 3 Grand Elder to protect me. Come little alligators! Hahaha.] Trevon realized he had a backup.
[Mission accepted.]
Trevon decided to stand next to this powerful grand elder of his family. Nothing safer than next to him.
[Erm... I had heard Ironlaw Family raised some demon beasts in the moat.] Trevon wanted to tell Grand Elder Pieter using spiritual sense.
[Yes, they tame some Mineral Blood Crocodile demon beast in the moat.] The Grand Elder said. [Wait! Is the demon beasts could turn into fallen bodies?]
[I believe so.]
[Hm... Wait here!] Pieter went towards Lance and Bamboo Old Man.
Trevon only sat on the teahouse while seeing people wore their battle robes. Some common people were escaping from the bottom mine. He could see that from the Shining Pearl carried by those refugees. [The city guard must have warned those people.]
Trevon took more tea. The teahouse was almost empty. Almost all rogue cultivators stood outside. They want to be the first to get a benefit inside the castle.
They aimed at Ironlaw family's treasure on their castle. This was the world. As long as they ran to other countries, they might be able to keep the treasures.
Trevon knew even his family would help for the chance to make Ironlaw owed them some treasures. A big family like Ironlaw must have several important treasures. Therefore, when they fell, they would become a big legal pie to be shared by other families.
Some city guards brought some small boat to the moat. They planned to move using the boat to make a temporary bridge.
Trevon saw Ramos, Roya, and Homa were the first batch to jump into the boat to reach the castle door. However, it wouldn't be easy to jump the almost sixty-meter-tall wall.
"We should prepare to enter the castle. Follow me closely!" Grand Elder Pieter said.
"Eh? I have to enter?" Trevon wanted to cry.
"Hm... Do you want to wait outside?"
Trevon wanted to cry. He was asked for his help to break the formation. The young master thought he could wait in safety outside with Grand Elder Pieter. However, the Grand Elder wanted to enter the castle. Outside was dangerous with the potential crocodile-type demon beast from the moat.
"No. I want to enter Grand Elder." Trevon was afraid if he was alone outside, he would meet the crocodile alone.
"Good!" Pieter hugged Trevon and jumped onto one of the floating boats.
"AAAAAHHHH!!!" Trevon was unprepared for the sudden jump.
