As Abaddon stared at the fire which would roast the elephant, his stomach growled ferociously. Sadly all he could do was stare at the fire, unless he wanted to eat something that was uncooked, in the short term this might be a good thing but the long term vastly outweighed the short term.
Abaddon then took a hand full of berries and stuffed them in his mouth as he then made a kebab out of the elephant, which seemed like a plausible way to cook the elephant. Although this could have side effects on genomes, which he has never tested and since he couldn't measure the strength of the elephant he was at a loss at what rank it would be.
But after a while since he had shoved the berries into his mouth he began to feel a funny sensation in his lower abdomen like that a fire was stirring in his stomach. He quickly got up and ran to the nearest tree and started to throw up
"Shit man those berries were poisonous, at least they were not lethal" Abaddon then said aloud, as he shuddered at the possibility that they could've been lethal and his life would've ended.
Yet he had just threw up what would stow him over until his real dinner was finished, which was scary. He felt himself becoming light headed after a couple of minutes of waiting, he simply couldn't wait any longer as he took the kebab off the fire and chewed down.
Yet what he tasted was close to heavenly the moist and smokey flavors both complemented each other and improved in various ways.
Abaddon then spoke aloud "Hahaha, I simply am ingenious with my great stomach intuition, my food will never be under cooked!"
He then heard a voice in his head which rung around three times, which meant he had gained 3 Ancient genomes.

Abaddon then felt a surge energy entered his body and once again he could feel the energy changing his genes he now felt that he had some sort of fire essence that was imbued into his body although weak, he may be able to strengthen the essence by eating beasts of the same element, Fire.
After eating the one piece of meat that he had from the elephant he had nothing else to do, he felt full and decided he would have to waste the rest of that elephant. Since he had no storage he would be his own source of food, by hunting along his travels.
At that moment he heard another roar and then thought to himself "Shit that's probably another animal smelling the dead elephant, and now is going to come and take it from the previous owner, me"
Just by judging by the intensity of the roar one could tell this wasn't a beast that you should mess with. Just with that Abaddon decided to abandon the corpse and let the other terrifying beast take the large corpse for he had gotten his use out of it.
Abaddon then rushed back towards the cave which was fairly close to the corpse but, in a secluded place it seemed, as not much creatures lived there. He then entered the cave once more and started to think about the blood locks, he had only unlocked one and he didn't know how to unlock the other millions of them.
Abaddon then thought to himself since the Blood lock made a sappling possibly its a process of trials and growth, only after all the trials shall he become something significant within this world.
The question was, how was he going to start a trial? He then channeled his conscious into the tree and began looking at the roots of the sapling which contained wisdom and the foundation for his existence.
Abaddon then looked at the tree and saw the second lock which was another leaf on the same branch he channeled once again and something mystical happened. The trial had started although this was not a trial of simulation but a trial of life and death.
Blood once again began to spurt from his seven orifices as one could see bloody tears rolling down his face, the despair in those lifeless eyes began to sprout.
He started to scream in pain as blue blood rolled down his body and he sunk into the ground forming a pool of blue blood, after this he fell unconscious laying defenseless for all to see. He could feel that a couple days had past since he started.
After another couple of days he could feel his conscious coming back, but not at a fast pace as if he was in a half asleep state he stayed in this state for two days until finally he woke up from the trance which had nearly taken his life.
Abaddon then thought to himself "I shall not touch any of those blood locks unless I am absolutely sure that I am ready to face the hell that awaits me for those trials."
He was lucky that nothing had happened within these couple of days that he had been unconscious, this relieved him he came out of this obstacle not only fine but profiting off of it. If he counted the first opening of the lock he could call this the second trial.
