"Alright kid, I think I have just the Class for you however, I must warn you that to acquire this Class will require you to endure immense suffering, and if you fail, only deaths cold embrace will await you."
"Say no more, the only good things in life are acquired through hard work and diligence."
Nodding his bearded face in silent approval Sid continued. "Alright, I can see your more than willing, however to be safe let me test your compatibility with this Class, give me your wrist."
Grasping his wrist firmly, Salvatore suddenly felt a slight pinch before his wrist was quickly released. Wearing a shocked expression of disbelief Sid inanely mutter "1..100% compatibility, simply inconceivable, fate... it must be, truly this is the work of the divine."
Somewhat pensive Salvatore patiently waited for several moments before calmly asking "Well, how is it?"
"Simply outstanding my boy, you have a very good affinity, in fact one might even go so far as to say your level of affinity is unprecedented."
"SIGH..."
"It seems fate has long set things in motion to arrange the union of this Class and you. This is a good thing for both of you, since this Class has waited far too long for its destined one. This Class is the core fragment of the primordial Class, the progenitor of all the Classes that exist in the starverse today. This is not some hereditary Class that is inherited through ones bloodline, oh no, this is one that must be obtained externally and requires fusing the fragment with your soul."
"How did you acquire such an amazing thing, it must have taken an exceptional amount of effort on your part?"
His face growing warm as his eyes glowed with the light of fond memories, Sid replied in a happy tone "By chance I managed to obtained this Class long ago when I and a few of my closest friends went explori..... never mind." His voice suddenly halting as his eyes became dark, lost in past memories of timeless sorrow.
After a momentary pause his face once more returned to its usually cheerful manner and he began to look around the starry space searching for something.
"This may take a second, I know he's around here somewhere, the little rascal just loves to hide and take naps."
Still searching the star filled space he suddenly exclaimed "Ah ha, found him," before cupping his hands and shouting loudly, "wake up Uni, wake up, I've finally found your fated one."
Hearing a twinkling sound he paused for a few seconds as he listened closely before responding "No such person exist, of course they exist, their standing right here in front of me."
"Twinkle-Twinkle."
"What do you mean I'm lying?"
"Twinkle-Twinkle-Twinkle!"
Pausing for a second he sighed wearing an exasperated expression before saying to Salvatore in disbelief "I can't believe it, I'm arguing with something that goes twinkle-twinkle, sheesh" before replying "No I'm not playing a prank on you.....this time, seriously."
"Twinkle?"
"Yes, seriously, I finally found the one!"
"TWINNNNNKLE!!!"
Then from the direction Sid was talking towards their suddenly came a shooting star that flew through the starry space at blinding speeds. As the radiant star grew closer it began to grow bigger and bigger until it arrived in front of Sid reaching nearly to his shoulders. Excitedly reaching out he gleefully patted the giant prismatic rainbow star like a beloved pet as it bounced around him happily.
"Yes Uni, after all this time we've finally found the one."
Turning towards Salvatore with a smile he asked "Are you ready?"
Exuding an air of tranquility Salvatore indifferently replied "What can I expect?"
Wearing a solemn countenance Sid remained silent, pondering his question momentarily, then suddenly his eyes began to shine, illuminated by the radiance of true enlightenment as he spoke in an omniscient tone.
"It is said that only those who achieve completion of the three cathartic trials, will be able to open the doorway to the inner self, the soul sanctum."
"First is the distillation of self, removing all contamination from the body, then come the purification of self, washing away all pollution of the spirit, finally come the unification of self, uniting distilled body and purified spirit into one, opening the doorway to the inner self, the soul sanctum."
Listening intently to the omniscient wisdom he spoke Salvatore carefully pondered his enlightened statement, reflecting on every facet of its profoundness. Then with a solemn nod of comprehension he uttered, "The body is the bridge way that unites the material with the immaterial of the self. The spirit is the true will, the undying purpose of the self. The soul is boundless emotion an memory, the essence of eternal existence. The body unites all, the spirit wills and the soul eternally remembers. Let us begin."
Nodding Sid brusquely spoke, "Brace yourself."
Then with the slightest movement of his hand launched the rainbow star towards him.
As it grew closer it began to rapidly shrink at an amazing speed till it was no bigger than a baseball. Colliding with his chest it burst into a million prismatic sparkles that enveloped every inch of his body with a myriad of drops of liquid starlight, which possessed by an instinctive will to reach the deepest depths of his being rapidly pierced through the meager defense offered by his silk pajamas.
The myriad of drops quickly flowed through the various stratum of his body, infusing every single particle with its effervescent brilliance, penetrating all the way to the depths of his bone marrow.
Suddenly he felt his bones begin to burn followed by his organs, then his muscles, eventually even his skin was being roasted by a million tiny raging suns.
These million blazing suns were formed from primordial starlight essence, originating from the very first star GOD had voiced into existence.
This was a true distillation of the self which encompassed every molecule of his body, refining every speck of his being imperceptibly on a level beyond mortal comprehension.
Once the distillation completed, the million suns simultaneously exploded, transforming into a million prismatic supernova's which expelled an abundance of primordial starlight essence, initiating the second process of absolute purification of the self.
The primordial starlight essence quickly flooded every part of his body, replacing the intense heat with a cool, revitalizing sensation that quickly washed away any remnant pollution leftover from the distillation process, expelling it through his pores in the form of a foul, putrid smelling black mist which was swiftly dissipated by the cleansing rays of the sun.
Completely purified of any earthly taint, he suddenly felt his spirit begin crystallizing. He was experiencing a qualitative transformation of the spirit, promoting the indistinct ethereal into flawless translucent crystal. Nurtured by the primordial starlight essence, the spiritual crystallization quickly completed. The moment the crystal finished forming he felt his entire being unite perfectly.
Before this transcendent moment although he had felt complete their had always been and indistinct indiscernible dissonance between his spirit and his body. Now however he felt they were harmonized perfectly, becoming truly one singular entity. At the moment his body and spirit were unified he suddenly sensed the doorway to his inner self appear.
Sensing the doorways appearance the primordial starlight essence quickly headed towards the core of his being driven by a sentient will to reach the soul sanctum beyond.
Exuding the aura of the incomprehensible the doorway slowly began to swing inward, allowing the gathered primordial starlight essence to quickly flow into his soul sanctum.
Drawn by the pure aura of his soul it rapidly surged through the doorway, flooding the soul sanctum with an infinite deluge of primordial starlight essence. Not one single drop remained outside, all were sucked into his inner self, drawn by the void like depths of his soul.
Finally as the last drop was absorbed his soul began to radiate a prismatic brilliance brighter than the brightest sun. Which surged out from the doorway, flooding his spirit crystal until it overflowed, emitting infinite rays of multihued brilliance which permeated every particle of his being.
This sensation was beyond any emotion or feeling ever felt before, nothing could compare for there was no word that existed capable of accurately describing how he felt, yet at the same time every word in existence was how he felt. It was both wonderful and terrible, hot and cold, good and bad. Salvatore basked in this myriad of inexpressible emotions.
Suddenly all five of his senses were cut off, heightening his sensitivity exponentially.
In this heightened condition he quickly reached a state of no self no other, an discovered he could sense the condition of every grain of his being.
This was a sixth sense, that relied on none of the other five. Slowly he immersed his consciousness into every aspect of this new sense until it began to slowly fade away leading him toward the infinite void of soporific slumber.
