"What the.....Class Secret Skill!!??"
Quickly opening his Skill Book, Salvatore examine the newly unlocked Class Secret Skills with a fine tooth comb, going over every word with great care.
"This is monumental, I must test these Skills immediately" he said with a voice filled with the slightest trace of barely contained inquisitiveness fanaticism.
Unfortunately Salvatore had run out of Red Berry Rabbit corpses, however this minor setback failed to discourage him even the slightest bit from his intentions, as he quickly leapt to his feet, pausing only to place as many of the meat tubes and square pieces of fur he could manage to fit into his [Spatial Storage] before heading north into the depths of the forest, in search of new specimens for his Class Secret Skills research.
Traveling swiftly like a ghost from tree to tree, he searched for any signs of monsters in the area but only found traces of the small herd of Red Berry Rabbits he had killed. Finally after 20 minutes of walking due north he discovered minute traces of a four-legged monster with strange green and red fur. Also based upon a few skeletal remains he found half buried next to a tree, he determined this type of monster was carnivorous and had large cuspid teeth.
These clues led him to believe that the type of monsters whose territory he had now entered was a type of monster that looked similar to a dog or wolf and judging by their foot prints they were very large and hunted by splitting up there pack into smaller groups of three.
As he continued tracking his new query moving silently like a ghost, undetected, he began to make some preliminary preparations by swiftly constructing several portable traps using freshly cut green branches from the nearby trees around him.
Although the traps were quite simplistic comprised of merely a 1 ft spike with a notch at the bottom they were quite effective since they were quite versatile and could be used anywhere there was dirt.
To set the trap one only needed to dig a small hole roughly 1 ft deep and 1 ft wide, then place the spike pointing directly up in the center of the hole, followed by filling the hole back up halfway, then packing the removed dirt firmly down around the spike before lastly using twigs and leaves to hide the hole. This simplistic trap had wreaked havoc during many wars, especially after the tip was coated with some form of toxic substance.
After making roughly a dozen traps he selected two straight branches and carved them into a pair of chopsticks, then using them began to carefully gather the wing shaped leaves from a purple plant called [Purple Winged Pox] which not only contained a powerful paralytic toxin but was completely fire-proof.
Grinding them down into a purple colored paste, using a makeshift mortar and pestle made from a couple of large rocks, he then used a square of Red Berry Rabbit fur in order to avoid any physical contact as well as any fumes by remaining upwind of the paste while he liberally coated all of the traps sharp edges, as well as the blade of his dagger with the dangerous purple concoction.
Retrieving another crimson square of Red Berry Rabbit fur from his [Spatial Storage] he wrapped up the remainder of the homemade paralysis poison and placed it in his [Spatial Storage].
Continuing onward, he carefully set the spike traps in certain areas as he followed a set of 2-day old tracks. A few minutes later as the wind changed direction he suddenly stopped, listening intently while taking a few "sniffs" before quickly climbing high up a particularly massive [Stony Bark]. Hiding behind some thick leafy branches, he crouched silently atop an overhanging 5 ft wide tree branch, like a deadly panther.
A few seconds later the sound of several howl's echoed through the woods from all around while the sound of frantic hopping could be heard, growing louder from the direction Salvatore had been heading.
Then suddenly, a large group of roughly 50 Red Berry Rabbits burst out from some bushes, hysterically hopping as fast as their fluffy legs could carry them.
Another series of terrifying howls rang out even louder from all around as the monsters they came from drew closer. Hearing the frightening howls, the Red Berry Rabbits despaired, realizing that they were trapped.
With no way out the rabbits hopelessly huddled closely to the large [Stony Bark], beneath the wide overhanging branch that Salvatore was hiding on, their little beady eyes darting franticly in every direction.
Suddenly the sound of running came from the same direction that the Red Berry Rabbits had fled from. With a soul shaking howl several massive wolflike monsters emerged from the trees.
As they drew near more howls came from two other directions as two more groups of three massive wolflike monsters appeared, effectively encircling the small group of terrified Red Berry Rabbits.
