First chapter was mostly worldbuilding and exposition, which lays out a groundwork that seems quite interesting. The world is vast and the scale of the story seems ambitious, giving me hope that it'll end up good. Personally, I'm not a big fan of exposition dumps in the first chapter, but this story shows decent amounts of potential if it manages to flesh everything it mentioned out to a decent level.
