Entering the Dungeon

My speed has dropped drastically, I can only wield 1 needle, and I can't even write any proper runes as it is. I don't have poison for easy kills and I basically have nothing. Except for my 2 subordinates.

I sat myself down on Green because my own speed was just that bad, my vigorous sloth girl is now my ride.

"Tiny Hero, why are you so slow? I don't mind you sitting on my head though, you're so cute I'd want to pet you. But I feel like you'd die if I would, that'd make me sad. But what are we going to do in this cave? It's so gloomy and there're so little plants here, I prefer plants and trees all around me. It makes me feel at home. What do you like Tiny Hero?"

The rambling is kind of a downside. It takes just as long for her to make a point as it did when she was slow. But it helps against the lonely feeling though, Black isn't much of a talker. He's even more gloomy as me when the seal is on, he'd have been a great hero for the Morrigan, they'd match.

"We're going to grow stronger here Green. And as I'm weak now I'll need you guys, but I promise you that I'll make you guys strong enough to take on the dragon alone when I'm over my weak state.

And you shouldn't be sad when you're out of the forest Green, you can take the forest with you wherever you go."

"Oh yes, you're right. I'm so silly sometimes."

As she's saying that vines start crawling into the cave, they crawl over all sides of the cave, it's a truly creepy sight.

But like this she'll be constantly training, and that's good. She'll grow even stronger like this.

A good thing I feel after this evolution is that volume and quality of blood don't influence the experience anymore. All blood will be quantified into a number that will be added.

So it's purely about the energy it holds. Even if I'd only drink the blood of the lowest insect or from the mightiest dragon, I'd still need the same amount of energy before I'll evolve. I'd just need less dragon blood.

"Black, Green, let's go in and find some strong creatures and awesome treasures."

"Yesss"

"Let's go master."

They both confirmed in their own way and we set off.

Our speed was a little slower as it could be because Green needed to let the vines follow us. But Black had time to train his scouting capabilities like this.

The first 15 minute walk was really uneventful, the only thing we found was a luminescent fungus. Green collected their spores so she can make light anywhere whenever we need it. I'm glad she can also grow fungi with her powers, that makes it even more useful, there are many types of useful fungi.

But after 15 minutes black returned and reported about the first creatures. It is a primate species that uses basic tools, spears, hammers, clubs. Black described them as savage, hairy goblins.

We sneaked up on the hairy goblins, and when I saw them they reminded me of under developed humans. The first apes who picked up tools.

"Green, use your vines to grab one and bring him here, and try to do it sneaky okay?"

"Yes boss~" she saluted me, I don't even know how she knew that gesture, but it was cute. A little soldier in green.

Two strands of vine crawled forward. One wrapped around the neck and the other around the mouth, making sure it had no chance of making a sound. I just hope she doesn't kill it.

The vines practically snapped back, and the missing link was in front of us in a moment. I made a single needle and it was disappointingly small, but the high level of the skill made the quality way better than it ever was. I even turn it to a crystal with the blood sub skills, and like this the needle enters the apes neck. The needle cuts in between its spine and cuts the nerves. He dies in a moment.

I start draining its blood, but drinking it takes a while because I can only control a small volume.

"Black, Green, you 2 go clear this floor. Find a way to drain and store their blood. You two eat the bodies."

They both agreed and were off, I start hearing screams and I see all the vines wiggle around me. It's truly a gruesome sight.

Black moves super fast from one neck to the next, curing them open. The blood disappears inside shadows. His moves are clean and efficient.

Green on the other hand is surrounded by vines, they shoot out and wrap around the apes like snakes. They strangle them tighter and tighter until they explode, and there she stands with her puppy eyes and dumb looking smile on her face. Like this she looks even more savage than Black.

By the time I finally drained the first ape the sounds start fading away, a few moments later Black and Green finally came back. I feel so helpless like this, so powerless. But it can't be helped for now.

Black summoned a huge orb of shadows, when he opens the top it appears to be full of blood. Green brings a vine that's way thicker than others in front of me, the top tears open and it's full of blood too. She also uses the other vines to bring all the bodies in front of us.

"Well, let's eat and grow. We'll devour this whole dungeon, we'll grow strong enough to take on the white dragon individually."

Black eyes just nods and starts eating.

"Un, let's do it Red. I'm sure we'll be the strongest in the forest if we follow you."

And like that we started eating. I drank the blood using my mouth directly, this speeded up the process a little, but it still took some time.
