Dishi and Peng Su

Inside the Xindian city, pedestrians can be seen everywhere staying at the side of the road, curiously looking at a swarm of soldiers going in every house they see.

"What are they be searching for?"

"I don't know, I'm pretty sure it's important though"

"Of course it's important, why else would they bother to come here"

Various speculations can be heard being whispered from the crowd. Although the crowd are displeased having their houses being ransacked by strangers, they have no choice since they don't have the power to resist.

'But we don't even know what we're really looking for, we're just blindly searching' General Wang awkwardly smiled, hearing what they said.

"Senior, what are you looking for?" Behind him, Feiyan is hurriedly following as she asked a question.

"Do you know anyone stronger than you who resides in this city?" General Wang responded.

Feiyan looked slightly surprised by the question before shaking her head, "Not that I know of, I've only been here for a short period of time. But if there was, I could've sense their aura even if they're at the peak of saint realm. I can't sense if they are above saint realm, which is very unlikely."

General Wang nodded before pondering, 'So she didn't notice that powerful existence setting up a formation awhile ago. It can't be that the person protecting this city is the one who killed the prince, right?...'

"Senior, are there any problems? Do you have any lead if who killed the prince?" While he was pondering, Lijuan Yue appeared beside him and asked worriedly seeing the frown plastered on his face.

"We have no leads yet, we're still searching for clues somewhere in the city" General Wang responded, not telling the whole story.

Lijuan Yue only nodded in understanding before looking back at the puppets that almost everyone in the city have with interest.

Unbeknownst to the people inside Xindian city, a hundred kilometers above them floats a white bearded man wearing black robes, observing them with interest.

"This formation is so strong, I can't leave any damage to it even after using my full strength. It also seems they can't see us from here since no one even looked up once in that moment I was attacking. Peng Su, what do you think about it?" He exclaimed in astonishment.

"Haha! We're both at the peak of Archaic Saint Realm but we still can't damage it. I'm positive that the one who placed this formation have a cultivation higher than Archaic Saint Realm." A lean bodied man wearing yellow robes replied to him in a carefree tone while standing on top of a flying sword.

Around them are a bunch of cultivators wearing different colors on their clothes and different designs placed on them that are also observing the city with interest. Most of them also tried to break through the barrier only to result in failure.

"Hey Dishi, isn't that youngster over there your subordinate? He and his army have a roaring black dragon on their clothes, just like your empire" Peng Su said to the white bearded man beside him, pointing in the direction of General Wang and his army. Even though the person he's pointing at has the appearance of a middle aged man nearing elderly age, he spoke as if that is considered young in his eyes.

"They're from one of the kingdoms my empire manage since the commander is only at Saint Realm" Dishi replied a moment later after sensing the cultivation of the strongest one among the group below.

"Leaving that aside, we should also get going to the source of that spiritual qi that was felt throughout the whole continent. Knowing the scheming minds of the other empires, they would surely also send their own strong warriors here to not be left out" Peng Su hurriedly said as soon as he saw those numerous cultivators that are heading towards the direction of where the huge disturbance that alerted all the empires came from.

Those who placed this strong formation here in this small city must have their reasons." Dishi said before looking away from the city.

"We also have to be cautious of surprise attacks. Even though both our empires pledged an alliance, other empires also have their own alliances too, some even have more than two." Peng Su said through qi telepathy while looking at the other cultivators around them obviously having the same thoughts.

Although both of them already knew that the one who set up the formation is stronger than them, they still weren't afraid to attack because both of their empires have an alliance, And seeing that almost everyone else are attacking the formation with no one is stopping them from doing it, they also joined it to satisfy their curiosity.

While they we're talking to each other, loud noises of weapons clashing each other is heard, and vibrating spiritual qis spreading throughout the surroundings can be felt. Dishi and Peng Su looked at each other in agreement before going towards where the noise came from.

After flying for a few minutes, they saw a huge crowd surrounding two groups facing each other.

On one side are a group of bloodthirsty looking cultivators wearing red robes that have a bleeding skull on it and they are also purposefully leaking a blood colored qi.

On the other side are a group of cultivators wearing white robes that have a shield with white wings on it. They are releasing a bright glowing qi that seems to rival the blood colored qi coming from the other side.

While the two sides are staring at each other in hostility, two cultivators are fighting each other in the middle of them. The red robed one using a saber, and the white robed one using a sword.

"It's those two groups again"

"They always fight every time they meet regardless of where they are"

"But if I would pick a side, I'd rather pick the church's side because the bleeding skull sect's methods of getting stronger are really vicious."

"Yeah..."

Murmurs can be heard from the crowd as they watched both sides fight each other.

Floating above them are Peng Su and Dishi.

"They're both at it again, they should focus on the main event rather than quarreling like kids" Peng Su said in a bored tone as if seeing those two empire level groups fight as a very common event.

Dishi nodded in response, but spoke with a determined gazed passing through his eyes a moment later, "Although I don't care about it too much, I'll personally kill them if they ever slaughter innocent lives right in front of me"

Peng Su only smiled wryly seeing the righteous side of his long time friend once again.
