Ember quickly ate all of her body strengthening pills to get bonus stat points. She decided that increasing her vitality should be a priority. How is she even supposed to train with such a frail body?
[Ding! Host received ten stat points. Stat points acquired from body strengthening pills can only be used to upgrade strength, vitality or agility.]
"System, add seven points to vitality and three points to strength." said Ember. Her heart started to pump blood much faster, and all hidden injuries disappeared.
"I want to use my skill roulette coupon." she said while crossing her fingers to get something useful.
It would be a shame if she got something useless, how unlucky could she be? After she said those words, the slot machine appeared before her and instantly started spinning. When it stopped, Ember heard a loud voice in her head.
[Congratulations to Host for acquiring "Moonlight Step" from the skill roulette. Since Host doesn't have any movement skill the system decided to learn it automatically.]
Ember was beaming with joy. Movement skills are very versatile as they can be used both for offence and defence. She instantly decided to upgrade the ability with an upgrade stone. She gave a command in her head and one upgrade stone immediately vanished from her inventory.

Ember decided not to use more upgrade stones on that movement skill because she suspected that it might be problematic to get more of those valuable stones later on. She ordered the system to display information about her.

Ember clenched her fists and smiled faintly, but before leaving her room, she decided to get some pieces of information about her new world.
She's currently in the Vermilion Bird Country that is located close to Azure Dragon Country, White Tiger Country and Black Turtle Country. Wars are frequent, and most of the population lives in big cities. Each country is ruled by the royalty, nobles and a powerful organisation worshipping one of four divine beasts.
In this world only royalty and nobles have surnames, and every adventurer that will achieve rank A or higher is instantly elevated to noble status and granted a piece of land in a country that he belongs to.
Ember is a part of a small family clan that is trying to seclude itself from wars and politics. Hundreds of years ago the founder of her clan married a princess of the Vermilion Bird Country, and Vermilion Bird bloodline appeared inside of their small clan in the form of children born from the love of their ancestor and the princess, elevating the clan to the peak of power in the country. Unfortunately, nothing lasts forever, and when the last descendant from their clan that had Vermilion Bird bloodline died during the war, everything changed.
Back in their days of glory, they were known as the Huo Clan, but when their last A rank member died, they were stripped of their family name by the King. Her father is the clan chief, and her mother is a low-class alchemist working in the capital of Vermilion Bird Country. The clan is not as strong as it used to be and they can barely provide enough resources to train their descendants.
"Since I got a chance to live again at least I'll try to fix some of the clan's problems in the future if I become strong enough... After all, from now on they are going to be my family." she thought.
Ember found out a plain linen shirt and baggy trousers in her wardrobe and dressed up. Those were probably her training clothes, but it looks like they weren't used for a long time because they are still in perfect condition. She quickly tried to draw a map of the clan territory in her head and jogged towards the training grounds.
When she arrived at her destination, she instantly became a centre of attention. Disciples were startled what is this fragile little miss doing on the training ground without an escort. Maybe she came to watch us train? That was what almost everyone thought. Some people were sceptical about it though, little miss never showed interest in martial arts so why would she come to watch? From what they knew, their little miss hated violence and was a scholarly person. All disciples stopped training and stared at her with endless curiosity in their eyes.
Elder Gorn that is overseeing the training grounds today was nervously looking around for Ember's escort, but he couldn't see them anywhere. A few hours ago she almost died, and now she came to the training grounds!? If something would happen to her under his watch, then he wouldn't be able to handle chief's wrath. He would definitely lose his head the same day! Countless drops of cold sweat appeared on his forehead.
Ember glanced at a group of roughly one hundred disciples that looked at her like she was a deity that was about to make a speech. She tried to make the cutest expression that she could.
"Umm.. hello? Would anyone like to spar with me?" said Ember in a gentle voice that made all male disciples blush and start arguing between themselves who is going to be the lucky one to spar with her.
In her head, she thought that it's hilarious how all of them started to behave like apes when she asked for a spar. Ember silently giggled. Even though she felt awkward doing such things, she had to admit that she had a lot of fun doing it. She never expected that abusing her status and charm can be so enjoyable. For the first time, she felt that there are some benefits to being a woman and maybe it's not that bad.
"Behave yourselves! This is a training ground, not an inn! " said Elder Gorn with an annoyed expression on his face.
He felt like he just got kicked out from heaven straight to hell... He never expected that he would find himself in such a situation. He still wants to live, okay? Elder Gorn started looking nervously at the group of disciples, and a radiant smile appeared on his face when he noticed a particular Fatty that always came late to training grounds and never tried too hard to become stronger.
"Fatty Baum, go on the arena and spar with our little miss!" said Elder Gorn with a satisfied tone. He instantly sent a message to Baum through telepathy that if anything happens to the little miss in a spar, then nobody will find his corpse.
The crowd of roughly one hundred disciples became displeased with Elder Gorn's decision, but nobody dared to disagree with an Elder. They just couldn't understand why such a fatso can spar with their little miss! He doesn't have any qualifications to instruct her! This honour should belong to them!
Both contestants stood in the middle of the arena. Fatso Baum bowed, and Ember also responded in the same way. She ordered System in her head to scan her opponent.

Ember smiled and charged straight at him. She was bent on getting that reward from the system as soon as possible!
Everyone knows that little miss never fought before and that her body is fragile. However, she executed her Flash Step and charged at him like she was a rabid wolf pouncing on her prey! Fatty never expected that such a thing would happen. Ember knew that she wouldn't deal too much damage if she doesn't attack his vulnerable parts, so she tried to attack his face with a straight punch and kick his knee at the same time to make him fall to the ground. Fatso blocked the first attack to the face but he never expected that he's going to be attacked from below too, he felt a sharp pain in his knee and fell on the ground. He barely supported himself with one hand. Ember saw that her plan worked and she threw Baum off the stage with a roundhouse kick.
All spectators just stood there in complete silence with their mouths agape, they couldn't understand what happened. Their gentle and docile little miss just destroyed Fatty Baum who was a defence type martial artist in less than 10 seconds! Every E rank disciple swallowed their saliva and didn't even dare to think what would happen if they went on the stage instead of that damned fatty. After all, he was considered a great punching bag. Suddenly, loud voice reverberated in Ember's head.
