III~Hello Alpha~

At 5 my alarm goes off and I, surprisingly, get up without a fight. I take a quick shower and dress in ripped black skinny jeans, a plain black long-sleeve shirt, and heeled boots. I pull my knee length, raven-black hair into a thick braid and put on my black, lace choker, and a single iron ring with a small sapphire nestled into it safely. I don't know the school policy on piercings but it doesn't really matter to me so I leave in my earrings, lip ring, nostril stud, and my three eyebrow-rings. I quickly do my makeup, black eyeshadow, winged eyeliner, and a deep red lipstick. Before going to school I stop at a gas station and grab a doughnut just so I have something in my stomach before school. As I make my way towards the school I eat the doughnut and sip on my coffee.

I make sure to arrive at the school well before the bell. Entering the office I retrieve my schedule, locker number, and locker combination. As I wander the halls looking for my locker a young male walks in the doors. As soon as I see the young man with dark brown hair, golden eyes, the eyes of an alpha, a chiseled jaw, and great muscles I know exactly who it is, Alpha Horatiu Machintosh, age 17. I'll have to play nice, won't I? He begins walking towards me and with a smirk plastered on his face. I play it off like I didn't see him before I walk down another hall to find my locker. After a while of looking, with no success, I look at the time and turn to find my first class. You'd think that it would be easy to find the classroom in such a small school, right? Wrong!

I can find where an enemy is hiding, get in, neutralize the threat, and get out with little difficulty but I can't find the right classroom on time! What kind of sorcery is this? I have done extractions and I have killed numerous times. I have gathered information on targets and clients but I meet my match trying to find a high school classroom, really?

A the piercing sound of a bell echos through the hall I finally find the room. Shutting off my music I walk in, as I do everyone looks at me as if I just killed five people. The small, maybe average sized, woman at the front of the room turns and inquirs in a very high, nasal voice as she pushes her glasses up higher on the bridge of her nose, "Who are you?"

I take out a piece of paper and write, 'I am Ivory, the new girl. I just transferred from a Tulsa school and before then many other schools, I'm originally from the Amazon where I was homeschooled.'

She looks at the paper that answers all the questions she could possibly have for me then at me, "Can you not talk, Ivory?"

'I can, I just choose not to for the time being.' I feel everyone staring at me but there is one gaze that is slightly unnerving. It feels as though it is boring into the side of my head.

"Okay, well when you do feel like talking we would all love to know about life in the Amazon and your travels. Please take a seat by alp… Horatiu." So she's part of the pack, I do suppose it is a good thing to have a few lycan teachers it would be good to have should a fight break out. It seems that the majority of the school is lycan but there are quite a few humans.

Nodding I turn around, when I do I am met with the intense gaze of the golden eyed male. I walk to the back corner, by him, with my head down allowing my hair to fall in front of my face. The reason I am not talking is simple I don't want to take any chances. Lycans will know their mate on sight but will be unsure until they hear their voice. I just don't feel like becoming a lycan's plaything, much less a mate to one.

Once I sit down the class resumes, Machintosh leans over, "So your name is Ivory?" Rolling my eyes I nod, "You're moving into the Dracula castle, right?" I nod, "How'd you get it? Only his family is able to have it." I ignore him and keep my eyes on the teacher, "Did his daughter sell it to you?" Again I ignore him and he gives up. As the class continues I fall into a lull as the information reaches me but I don't really listen. My phone lights up with a message from Steven opening.

How's school going?

I suppose it's fine. I've done this stuff before and it's a little old. I'm the lucky girl that gets to sit next to Machintosh..

I glance over to Horatiu from the corner of my eye to see him staring at me again. I don't know what is so interesting about me but he continually watches me when he believes I'm not looking. I am a trained assassin, I'm always looking. Soon enough he will learn that but for now I have to lay low.

He keeps looking over at me.

The teacher begins to walk around passing out a paper with equations for us to solve. She passes by giving me a disgusted look as I don't even attempt to hide my phone from her view. She could say something but I would be able to pass it off with little difficulty because I do need to be on my phone for certain aspects of my job and there is nothing she can say to me about it either.

Cute isn't the term I would use to describe me. Have to go, math work awaits.

In the middle of class Machintosh starts asking for help with some of the problems, which I explain on paper and write out the math to help him. Then on some that I have to think about for a moment he asks if I need help, which I decline with a shake of my head. He asks again and I glance at him, barely above a whisper I state, "I do not need help, the same goes for the others. I do understand that you are attempting to be friendly and get me to talk because hey why don't we mess with the new, mute girl but I don't want to be friends, I don't like people. So I would prefer if you allowed me to keep to myself and you stick to your clique, okay? I am immensely pleased with my solitude." Even though it was barely above a whisper everyone stops what they were doing to look to listen. He looks at me with his eyes wide and his mouth wide open, "Close your mouth and blink, you look a fool." At that he and everyone else did as I instructed and went back to work.

Had I talked to any other alpha in such a way I would have at least gotten a slap across the face followed by a scolding but I wouldn't have put it passed him to start a full on fight. Alpha's hate being spoken to rudely but I suppose this young alpha has more control than most.

After that the morning continued and thankfully I had no more morning classes with him. I did find out that I have a few with his beta, Bradford Chanler, and just like Machintosh he wanted to talk too. Why won't these people leave me alone? I have never had so many people try to talk to me in any of my other schools.
