Rising (Last)

The young master in his silver robes walked away from the garden and opened the two round doors in front of him quietly. Behind his formidable figure, there was a sleeping beauty resting soundly underneath one of the trees in the garden.

Without the young lady knowing, the mysterious figure made his way out aloofly.

The young master had his hat covering half of his handsome face and his hazel eyes as he walked inside of the main hall with soundless footsteps.

However, the two elders among the group of people that were eating dinner on one side of the hall turned their eyes to the newcomer. Both Feng Furen and Elder Yi had turned their heads to newcomer since the moment the door was open.

Feng Furen's heart could not help but tremble when she thought of the young lady who was sleeping beyond the doors. Her maternal instincts began working automatically without having to turn a switch on.

She was just about to stand up when Elder Yi had stopped her, "Don't worry. That's Teacher Zhang and my student. He won't do anything to your daughter, but I fear what your daughter might do to him."

The young master who was faraway revealed a small smile as he heard his teacher's words. There was amusement in his usual cold eyes as he listened light-heartedly, yet he could not help but think...

...His teacher was quite right on that one.

"Who is he?" Feng Furen's voice sounded as if demanding a good answer from her senior brother.

"Aiyoo, Rui Ren's secret about our students. I cannot help you with that one." Elder Yi replied helplessly before going back to eat his food.

"What kind of secret do you think of hiding it from me hm? I already know the third generation students, why can I not know about him?" Feng Furen doubted the rule that the Rui Ren had been passed on after her generation.

It was the Grand Master's orders to keep all the Rui students from knowing about the generations before and after them. Elder Yi was an exception for he had committed his life to the Rui Ren and had become a teacher for his juniors.

However, the rest of the students had no idea who was their seniors or their juniors.

Yet being said, Feng Furen and General Feng who were the first generation students knew Su Rong and Su Juo who were both in the third generation students because they were both sent in by the ones before them.

Hence was why Feng Furen did not believe they were strict about this rule.

Nevertheless, Elder Yi's answer was, "If you want to know him, then go find out about him yourself! You just won't hear anything from my mouth." He then went back to enjoy his food that was cooked by his junior sister.

Feng Furen knew that this stubborn senior brother of hers was not going to tell her whenever he said no.

However, more than this person's identity, Feng Furen was rather worried about her daughter than him and went straight towards the separate garden.

Meanwhile, the young master in his silver robes continued on his way towards one of the chambers.

...Hm, that must have been that young lady's mother. However, it seemed he had already made a bad impression on his senior…

...Nevertheless, what was done could not be fixed. With that in mind, he went off his way.

The direction he went to was Elder Zhang's quiet chambers that seemed to be welcoming many guests today.

Elder Yi watched as both prominent figures walked in different ways from each other. He looked at his good student that had just arrived with a defeated look in his eyes.

...This boy, he truly does not know how to act like a normal person and would just come in from the back rather than the front.

...Sigh, now that he thought of this, it seemed there would be another troublemaker added into the group of troublemakers ah. Why was it that the Rui Ren had only made a bunch of troublemakers and not any kind of righteous people ah?

Feng Furen opened the door to go in, but her eyes caught onto Hui Lan who was still sleeping. However, this time, her daughter was no longer on the branch high above and was sleeping soundly on the tree roots instead.

...That boy! He must have moved her daughter down. Didn't he know to not touch an unmarr-...Hui Lan was already married ah.

...Sigh, but at least he placed Hui Lan to sleep in a safer place.

...This time, she'll let him off the hook, but as for next time...don't ever let her see it.

In the end, Feng Furen left for Hui Lan to sleep some more before heading back to sit down.

She sat in front of her senior brother in a slightly foul mood.

However, seeing her senior brother eating as if he had been starving for days, she could not help but tease, "That's your last bowl for today, the rest, I'm saving it for my daughter."

Immediately, Elder Yi's hands came to an abrupt halt.

...Did he hear it correctly?

His eyes became squinted and his face pouted.

...All his junior sisters all became a mother and now they're both like a mother hen protecting over their own child, tch. Even his senior brother took in this junior sister as his wife, so what could he do?

...The two are both happily married, yet this junior sister in front of him is bullying him. Life is hard...

On the other hand, the young master in his silver robes was finally inside alone in Elder Zhang's room.

However, from above, a familiar voice greeted him casually, "Ah Wu, what made you come here today?"

After hearing his master's voice, the young master finally took his hat off, revealing a dashing yet beautiful face. The same hazel grey eyes looked up towards his master before greeting back, "Master, long time no see."

"Hm, come up then. Speak up here if you want to tell me anything." Elder Zhang then headed inside first.

As a student, he quickly followed his master inside.

The first thing he saw was Elder Zhang already made himself comfortable in his seat as he held the teacup close to him.

The young master then went to sit in the chair in front of his master. In between them, there was a tea table set up for Elder Zhang's exquisite tea set.

...His master was still the same...however, he did not know if his master's students were all the same…

"Tell me, what have you come here for, hm?" Elder Zhang without showing much interest and was blowing on his hot tea to cool down.

"Master, the Nameless group...there will be the moon table meeting in 6 days time. This student would like to ask for some guidance from you." The young master did not waste his time and got straight to the point.

Elder Zhang revealed a small smile before speaking, "Hm, young master Hua...you seemed to be concerned about this meeting this time."

The young master Hua did not shy away with his master's words and replied, "I always am. It is just that today, there has been a report of the mysterious death. This student fears…"

Elder Zhang placed his teacup down. He too had heard of that news, but all he could say about it was, "You worry for nothing. Now, is not the time to worry yet. I believe you all will be talking about the celebration of the four kingdoms, am I right?"

"Yes, master. Although the annual celebration is in 3 months time, we want to get the most out of it."

"Hm, very well. However, from what I see, it will be a little tricky for you all this time, but fear not, maybe, there might be some help from the heavens."

"Help from the heavens?" His master's words caught him all puzzled.

"Ah Wu, it seems, I can give you no help in this one, but all I can say is keep up your guard and continue to take care of your brothers."

"No, master. Your words are enough. Since that is all, then this student will take my leave first." Young master Hua looked at his master with his genuine hazel eyes before getting up and bowing before his master.

"Hm. Very well, take care and you are always welcome here." Elder Zhang sent his student off with good wishes and in a dash, his student's figure was no longer in front of him.

Furthermore, young master Hua's figure did not reappear in front of Feng Furen's eyes or anyone else's as if he had never come. However, it was the door on Elder Zhang's ceiling which was where the young master took off.

Once again he was in the air with his wide black hat covering his face. He looked down at the place where he had come from, but like usual, it looked like an ordinary hill from the outside.

His silver robes shimmered underneath the moonlight like a hundred diamonds were sewn onto it. In no time, his figure dashed forward towards the lights of Xin Li's busy city.

...It seemed there was something his master feared but was not allowed to tell him. If someone like his master could fear something, then it would be a matter of importance to make everything work as planned.

...They had planned for the better Da Ning for this long, they would do anything for it to succeed.

In the corner of Xin Li, a dark figure was walking in small steps along a darkened hall.

As the figure walked forward, trails of black liquid were flowing out from her fingertips. Meanwhile, the blackbird that was on her shoulders was shivering as if the cool weather was less than minus degree celsius.

The figure had their long hair covering their entire face, yet, the person was still able to walk in a straight line.

For some time the figure walked along the hall, at the end of the corridor, some fickle light was still on and small voices echoing in the hall.

The shadowy figure made their way inside the room and immediately, everything in the room came to a halt.

There were more than a hundred people in the room, all looking like having been through a horrid war. Many were crippled and some lost parts of their body. All of them were in agony as they hid in the dark.

However, upon seeing the figure in front of them, all of their eyes began to sparkle as if they could finally see the light in their dark days.

Immediately, everyone got onto their knees and kneeled before the shadowy figure, "Welcome back master!"

However, no words came out from the shadowy figure.

But the shadowy aura began to grow larger and larger over the walls to the ceiling and like a tremendous wave of wind, the darkness from the figure covered all over the entire room.

In an instant, everyone was dissolved into dust leaving only the skulls of a human being.

The only person left standing was the person that was called master.

Sounds of bones cracking in different directions came from the only person standing. One last crack was heard from the person's neck and all the disfigurement was gone in an instant.

The person's scruffy hair grew longer and silkier. The person's skin that had been pale instantly grew a rush of blood in it.

"Ah...that was better." The person's voice sounded as sweet as a lovely bird.

Slowly, the person's eyes reopened and that was the end of those that had called the person master.

Those that had fallen were the rise of this being.

In the quiet garden, underneath the big tree was a lovely looking fairy sleeping soundly.

Slowly, the lady began to sleepily open her eyes, but everything was pretty much blurry to her.

She blinked once and twice to adjust her eyes.

However, the starry night was no longer in front of her sight.

Hui Lan did not know why but her body was shivering as if she had been through a rough climate, but she was sure that she had been here this whole time.
