Until she came to the past where these voices reappeared once more. 

In the unfamiliar world, Hui Lan must strive among the plots and schemes aimed at her. Along the way, she has two majestic assistants to guide her, Yue and Hun that had come from an even more ancient time period. No longer the well-behaved empress like before, Empress Hui Lan seeks to find justice in this messy palace and end the mission forced in her hands. Beneath the surface, an underground power seeks to pull her down like how they had driven Empress Hui Lin to the pit of fire. However, if her enemies kept secretly hidden in the dark, then she would build an entire empire of hers to bring them down.

The subtle change in his consort’s temperament had not escaped his incisive eyes. Phoenix's crescent love

The three figures swiftly headed inside of their new palace unnoticed by the Emperor's shadow guard.


After heading into her inner chambers, Hui Lan quickly took off her beard and her wig and placed them on the table. Meanwhile, a snowy white figure appeared beside her with big bright eyes.


"Miss! You're back!" Unlike this morning, Xiao Mao was full of spirits as he greeted Hui Lan.


Hui Lan gave a small pat on Xiao Mao's head before thinking of what to do. Along the way, she had been preoccupied with how to get the papers from the Landlord office and until now, she was thinking hard.


Meanwhile, Su Rong had gone to prepare some hot water for Hui Lan to bathe and Su Jou had resumed to his own place to go through their account book. The rest of the maids and guards were their people and they all knew to keep their distance from the Empress' inner chambers. All of their martial art skills were high, so they were always on alert.
