The Greater Good (II)

Back in Li's family business, the entire place was completely deserted.

Apart from the guards standing put in their posts, no one came out nor did anyone go into the Li Landlord's business.

Before this place would be full of people waiting in line for their turn to loan or pay for their loans.

However, today was very different.

In the office room of the Li's family business, a haggard middle aged man sat in his seat weakly. His eyes were sloppy and he no longer had the strength that he had portrayed earlier on.

Meanwhile, his entire room was a mess. The scrolls were thrown around the room and a large patch of ink was stained onto the wooden floor.

The minister who had been proud of his entire life had never faced such a big loss for more than 20 years.
