Along the way, she has two majestic assistants to guide her, Yue and Hun that had come from an even more ancient time period. No longer the well-behaved empress like before, Empress Hui Lan seeks to find justice in this messy palace and end the mission forced in her hands. Beneath the surface, an underground power seeks to pull her down like how they had driven Empress Hui Lin to the pit of fire. However, if her enemies kept secretly hidden in the dark, then she would build an entire empire of hers to bring them down.

After young master Hei had turned around, he soon left.

Hui Lan slightly turned her head around to send him off, but when she turned around, he had disappeared. She could no longer see him around or even sense his presence. Nevertheless, with him gone, she no longer looked around and retrieved her sight from behind her towards the lifeless space.

Now that young master Hei was there, Hui Lan was alone. She slowly sat down on the branch that she had been standing on and leaned her back on the tree trunk and lifted one of her legs to rest her arm on her knees. Having settled down, her clear eyes wandered around the dark barren space absent-mindedly.

With a great swoop of his wings, Xiao Mao plunged downwards and landed on his Empress' shoulders and looked out towards where his Empress was looking.

"Xiao Mao, have you ever seen this place before." Hui Lan's voice resounded in Xiao Mao's mind.
