Beneath the surface, an underground power seeks to pull her down like how they had driven Empress Hui Lin to the pit of fire. However, if her enemies kept secretly hidden in the dark, then she would build an entire empire of hers to bring them down.

Meanwhile, Hui Lan was making her way towards Ping An Palace. However, she was not alone.

Other than her long entourage, another tall figure in dark midnight robes was walking along the same path as her today.

"Ah, is it true that Taihou(Empress Dowager) suffers from the coldness?" When they were alone, Hui Lan then finally asked the question that she had.
