Along the way, she has two majestic assistants to guide her, Yue and Hun that had come from an even more ancient time period. No longer the well-behaved empress like before, Empress Hui Lan seeks to find justice in this messy palace and end the mission forced in her hands. Beneath the surface, an underground power seeks to pull her down like how they had driven Empress Hui Lin to the pit of fire. However, if her enemies kept secretly hidden in the dark, then she would build an entire empire of hers to bring them down.

When the two young masters arrived at the outskirts of Xin Li's capital city, they transferred into a carriage that young master Hei had prepared for them.

Then for the rest of the journey, they both played chess with each other until they arrived. It was a new thing they found that they both enjoyed doing just to kill time.

It was a rough match and lasted the entire journey. Their skills were up to par and none of them ended up winning.

Mu He was around half a day's journey, the long procession had arrived before the sunset.

Meanwhile, Hui Lan and young master Hei had arrived just before the procession and were already checking into the most famous inn in Mu He, Shu Fu.

Although everything had been prepared for the journey, some things were unavoidable.

Hui Lan got off first from the carriage with a backpack she made from a large red cloth, followed by young master Hei. She stretched her arms and legs from the exhausting long trip.
