In the endless Universe is eight primordial laws. Each of the eight laws have been fused with a supreme expert, but unbeknownst to everyone, there is a ninth law in the universe. It tears open the Primordial Chaos and is beyond reach.

Di Jiu—whose name is a homophone for 'ninth'—is the ungifted son of a powerful Di family clan in the Ji Nation as he lacks martial roots. Unwilling to resign to his fate, he practices medicine, hoping to one day cure himself. 

One day, the king orders a massacre of the Di family, forcing Di Jiu to flee. He ends up traveling to a portal into a post-modern Earth where cultivation has been made possible with the appearance of Planet Fairy.

Ninth In the World

At the fifth year mark, Di Jiu stopped his Array Dao deduction and stood up in disappointment. Perhaps he could become a level-nine Divine Array Emperor only after he attained the Dao Integration Realm.

The surrounding Array Dao runes dissipated completely the moment Di Jiu stood up. Bei Yingshu, who had been staring at Di Jiu, asked in astonishment, "Why did you stop deducing the Array Dao?"

Di Jiu sighed and replied, "You're right, Senior Supreme Oneness. I'm afraid, I would not be able to become a level-nine Divine Array Emperor anytime soon."

Di Jiu was well-aware of his progress. Becoming a level-nine Divine Array Emperor was not an impossible task for him but it would most likely take 10,000 years to accomplish. Di Jiu did not so much time to gain insight of the Array Dao. He might as well make use of this time to attain the Dao Integration Realm instead.
