In the endless Universe is eight primordial laws. Each of the eight laws have been fused with a supreme expert, but unbeknownst to everyone, there is a ninth law in the universe. It tears open the Primordial Chaos and is beyond reach.

Di Jiu—whose name is a homophone for 'ninth'—is the ungifted son of a powerful Di family clan in the Ji Nation as he lacks martial roots. Unwilling to resign to his fate, he practices medicine, hoping to one day cure himself. 

One day, the king orders a massacre of the Di family, forcing Di Jiu to flee. He ends up traveling to a portal into a post-modern Earth where cultivation has been made possible with the appearance of Planet Fairy.

There was only a void before their eyes without anything special. While Di Jiu was puzzled, Ci raised his hand to throw an array flag down. Very soon, an indistinct planet appeared before Di Jiu.

Di Jiu didn't ask what kind of shady business Ci was involved in. He instead looked at the planet before him in shock. To be precise, this was not a planet but a floating continent in the void.
