Ewww... What Is This Smell?

"The drug is ready."

"Umm..." Deng Huan nodded slightly while his lips arched into a smile. He could not help but be excited knowing that Chang Miao would soon be his.

However, that grin did not last long as he wore a complicated expression across his face. He was feeling nervous and guilt at the same time. Soon, he will commit an enormous evil deed that he could not go back once it was done.

"Deng Huan, you're not nervous, are you? You know that if you're backing down, Chang Miao would never be yours." It was one of the lackeys who gave advice to Deng Huan. He carefully handed a small bottle containing a red pill to Deng Huan. "But don't worry! With this, any woman would be yours."

"..." Deng Huan carefully laid his gaze upon the pill. He clenched his fist tightly as he saw his eyes reflected on the bottle.

"You're right. If Chang Miao did not want to be with me, then I just have to force her. Since I already got this deep, turning back is not an option."

Meanwhile, not too far away from them, Deng Huan's other two lackeys were keeping their eyes on Fei Bao Xing. Because of the defective rope, unlike previously when he was tied up, this time he was free to move. But, because of that very reason, his every movement were being watched on.

"Hey, you're sure Chang Miao will come for you, right?"

"Yes, I'm sure..." Fei Bao Xing replied.

Fei Bao Xing wants to cry. It was already one hour, but he did not find a way out. If he can't find one before the two-hour time limit, his life could no longer be saved. Furthermore, he was always provoked by these two, threatening to kill home every five minutes or so.

He, himself was not sure if Chang Miao would come and rescue him. But by the attitude that Chang Miao and the other girls showed him previously, it was unlikely she will come. Thinking about this, Fei Bao Xing just got even sadder.

"Hey, I'm wondering about this the whole time." said one of the lackeys. "Why are you not looking at me, when I'm talking to you?"

"Ehh... What are you talking about? I'm always paying attention to you." Fei Bao Xing said feigning ignorance.

"Huh? Do you even realise what's in front of you right now?"

"...What is it?"

"It's a tree! You're looking at a tree instead of me!" yelled one of the lackeys.

"Turn this way, you idiot!"

"Ahh... I'm sorry..." Fei Bao Xing could not possibly have the strength to handle these two, the only thing he could do was to comply. He quickly changed the direction he's facing to not raised anger from these two.

But, it backfired. Instead, it just made the two guys angrier.

"Good! First, you prefer to look at the tree instead of us. Now, you chose to talk with a stone."

"Hey, are you purposely trying to make us angry!? You're not that stupid right?"

"Ehhh..."

It turns out, Fei Bao Xing turned the wrong way and was facing a big stone now. But it could not be helped, since in this situation, only he has no Qi to help him see in the dark. And, the sound of echo from the woods, just made him confused and was unable to detect the sounds coming from.

"I can't take it anymore! This bastard is making a fool out of me!" One of the lackeys pulled out a dagger from his pocket.

"Don't!" But, the other lackeys stopped him. "If you kill him now, how are you gonna have to answer to Deng Huan!? Can you take responsibility if you ruin the whole plan?"

"Tch... You're lucky!" Reluctantly, he put down his dagger. "If it's not the sake of our plan, you would already be dead!"

Fei Bao Xing sighed in relief, it seemed he was saved for now. But, the big question still remains of how to get away from here. With these two guys watching his every move, there's no way he could run away.

"Squeak... Squeak..."

Just as Fei Bao Xing wants to give up, he heard a squeaking sound. It was so close that he could felt there was a Blue Striped Squirrel right in front of him.

"Squeak..."

The little spirit beast got closer and rubbed its back on Fei Bao Xing's leg. In response, he petted the Blue Striped Squirrel on it's back. Feeling the soft fur on his hand, Fei Bao Xing could not help but smile.

Although Blue Striped Squirrel was a spirit beast that was stronger than Fei Bao Xing, it was not dangerous at all. As long as a human does not have any intent to harm them, they won't retaliate or run away.

[So, fluffy! This is the first time I've felt a squirrel have a fur this soft, particularly the stripe in the middle is warm and fuzzy. It is kinda big for a squirrel though...]

"Wha... What are you doing?" One of the lackeys said. "Get away from it! You hear me!"

"Hmm... Why are you so afraid?" said Fei Bao Xing. He carried the small spirit beast on his arm and smiled. "See... It's so cute!"

"Don't come close!" said the other lackey. "Quickly throw that stinky animal away!"

Fei Bao Xing frowned, it looks like these people do not like spirit beasts at all.

"What are you doing!? Quickly, throw it, now!" the two lackeys shouted.

Being pressured, Fei Bao Xing immediately did as what he's told. As he could not see anything, he tossed the spirit beast lightly into a random direction. Just as it happened, it was thrown toward the two lackeys.

"Eeeekkk!!" The two lackeys shouted in fear as the little spirit beast was launched towards them.

"Squeak!!!"

The little spirit beast quickly landed on the ground and pointed it's rear towards the two lackeys. Suddenly, an unpleasant sound and smell were omitted.

* Pfffffttttttt... *

The little spirit beast turned out not to be a Blue Striped Squirrel, but a Night Forest Skunk. This particular spirit beast was not dangerous or harmful like the Blue Striped Squirrel. But, it was feared because it's gas was stinkingly infamous, which roughly took one year just to get rid of the smell.

"I don't care about Deng Huan anymore, I'm gonna f*cking kill you!"

"Fei Bao Xing... You're gonna pay for this!!"

The two lackeys expressed their anger at Fei Bao Xing, the one who tossed the Night Forest Skunk at them. It was definitely on purpose, they told him to throw it away, but it landed on them instead.

"Ehhh!! It's a skunk!" Fei Bao Xing who just smelled the stinking smell from far away finally realised what happened. But, with the two guys determined to kill him, there was nothing else he could do.

Even without any light, Fei Bao Xing could see it. The two lackeys already jumped up high in the air and launched themselves towards him.

[Ahhh... How could I have such bad luck? But I don't want to die! Someone, please help me!]

"Aaaarrgghh..."

It was the voice of someone who gets attacked. But, it was not Fei Bao Xing, but the sound of the two lackeys instead.
