Scariest?

Two days later, Davis and Evelynn finally made it to the peak of a mountain. They had met some bandits on the way, but they were instantly subdued with his fists, displaying his awesome strength that smashed apart mountains and valleys.

Unfortunately, the bandits were broke as beggars, causing him to break out into a cursing fit.

Nonetheless, once they were on the peak that had a view of the vast skies free from any kind of shadows, Davis turned to look at Evelynn.

"Did she leave?"

"I don't know."

"She must've left." Davis pursed his lips, "No sane and righteous person would stay with us after what all we did."

Evelynn blushed slightly. They hadn't gone beyond kissing, but even then, the atmosphere they created along their travel was nothing to scoff at as it was sensual. Still, being intimate outside while feeling the phantom gaze of an unrelated entity was uncomfortable to her but to survive, she clenched her teeth and endured.
