Their Desire

Davis couldn't help but inwardly smile at Lanqua's answer.

He let her go and turned around to sit, thinking that it was good she let him choose. To him, that was the right answer, although he didn't find any fault if they were to go after their third sister since her life was more important than getting some intimacy from their love.

But if they were to have chosen him, he would have been pleased but, at the same time, would've slightly looked down on them for letting go of their sister and taught them to never let go of family even if it makes them bleed unless the family itself is the one directly harming them.

He didn't want them to forsake their first sister but instead prove to him that they could change her ways or even that uncouth mouth of hers. After all, when he used Heart Intent against Zanqua when letting her be seated before Panqa and Lanqua, he also learned how important Zanqua was to them despite her sins.
