When you really have a good sleep, you tend to wake up naturally. The same thing can be said about my sleep just now, it was one of the best nights of sleep I've probably had so it wasn't surprising that I just naturally woke up by myself without any assistance. Everything was so nice, and I almost felt the need to yawn excessively just because I had a darn good sleep.
The only problem is that I realized this isn't actually my house, and I have no idea how I ended up falling asleep for so long that the sun had already set. I originally didn't have any duvet or comforters covering me, but when I woke up I was nicely covered and tucked in. The room was pitch dark, only illuminated by the skyline and busy nightlife of Orion city from afar. So like any sane person in the situation, I immediately shot up my upper body and started to pat on my clothes.
"Well shit," I cussed out loud, this was so embarrassing. I was certainly wearing the same clothes I came with, but it was so dark that I couldn't see anything at all other than my immediate self and something in close proximity. Knowing that Hayden probably already came back, I'm literally an unwanted guest at this point. There's a bed downstairs I could have slept on, but of all beds, I just had to sleep in his really expensive and nice one didn't I?
Speaking of which, where is Hayden? Maybe he's downstairs waiting for my lazy ass to wake up, or maybe he's just waiting to ambush me somewhere to make fun of me for being such a lazy and intruding asshole that I am. Or maybe I should just forget about all of this and leave because my new place is probably ready.
A soft groaning sound was made from the other side of the bed, I immediately jumped in response and screamed while throwing the duvet directly at the source of the noise. How the hell did I not feel that something was right next to me this whole time? This bed is way too big for anyone's wellbeing, I thought to myself.
"Who's there?!" I practically shouted, getting into my defensive pose.
I quickly approached what looked like a standalone lamp and turned it on to give the room some light. The room was now partially illuminated, and in front of me was the same bed that I slept on, except that another person, certainly Hayden, was also sleeping in it. However, with the amount of noises I just made in the span of a few seconds, he was now fully awake.
"W-why are you yelling?" Hayden's groggy voice spoke out as he shuffled on the bed, turning to face me.
"Hayden? The fuck? Why are you on the bed?" I interrogated, still defensive.
"I can't sleep on my own bed? Geez," he responded irritatedly as he finally sat up, "what's with you?"
"Did you tuck me in?" I questioned, "You could have just woke me up you know."
"Yeah, and you looked like you honestly needed a nap so sorry that I didn't?" Hayden continued, still confused at the situation.
"Then why are you sleeping here with me then?" I finally relaxed my body and crossed my arms.
"Like I just said a minute ago, this is my bed, and it's big enough for like five people so I don't get why you're being so defensive about it."
"I'm not being defensive," I refuted.
"Uh, yes you are. And I was clearly sleeping too so I don't know what fucked up scenario you have in your head, but all I did was fall asleep on my own bed," Hayden defended himself, clearly getting frustrated.
"Okay, whatever, I'm leaving, and thanks for giving me your house keys," I said angrily, tossing the fob key in my pocket on Hayden's bed, "you can keep it, I don't need it anymore."
I practically stomped my way towards the exit, but it wasn't until I reached the door that Hayden finally decided to say something.
"Wait," Hayden sighed as he rubbed his temples, "you're supposed to keep it, not give it back to me."
"Well you're clearly pissed because I accidentally slept on your bed, so I'm clearly not welcome here," I announced as I turned around to face him, clearly not amused.
"No, it's not that," he sighed again, "you literally woke up, screamed, and accused me of doing something shady in my own room, so forgive me if I sound irritated, but I didn't get woken up as nicely as you did."
"I'm sorry, I should have been more reasonable," I half-apologized. I casually waddled my way back to the bed and slowly sat on the surface, fully turning my body to Hayden who had looked less than amused at this point.
"Why did you sit back down if you were just hella mad just a second ago?"
"Because I remembered that I am the intruder," I said wearily, looking down at the duvet.
"Well, it's already eight in the evening," Hayden said as he looked at his phone, "your new place is finished, but since you're already here, why don't I make you dinner or something?"
"You haven't forgiven me yet," I reminded, still staring at him.
"I'll forgive you when you take these keys and we head downstairs to make some food," he eyed, lifting away from his covers and getting out of the bed.
"Fine," I rolled my eyes, "but I didn't know you can cook."
"There's a lot that you don't know about me, and you're also helping," he smirked.
"Alright Mr. Whitehall," I laughed, "what are we making tonight?"
"Easiest and fastest thing to make is pasta probably," Hayden said as he looked up in thought.
"I literally just had Italian for lunch," I complained.
"And you're going to have Italian again for dinner unless you want me to embarrass you again in another fancy restaurant."
"So heartless," I said, acting shocked as I stepped off the bed, putting my shoes back on.
"Yeah yeah, let's go already," Hayden complained as he opened the door and invited me out.
