Edward Nark

The entire plaza was silent, they could only hear Hiro's loud voice.

"Who's this guy? Such outrageous actions..."

"Is not he the new student?"

People started to whisper, questioning Hiro.

CLAP CLAP~

After a few seconds, Hiro stopped. He returned to his chair and looked at Miwa.

"Miwa, you're in the second place, congratulations."

She was looking at him without blinking, trying to process what just happened.

With some whispers here and there, the plaza was silent overall.

Seeing that things were awkward, Professor Lurk tried to calm things down, "Ahem, now, the first place will be nominated!"

The entire place started to vibrate again. The other nine nominations didn't have such energy, only the first place had the rights.

"The first place is a very famous person, I think everyone knows him. He came from the royal family, he is a person which talent could only be found in the bigger kingdoms. There could only be one possibility, Edward Nark!"

Even though everyone knew it would be him, they still screamed, shouted his name, and made a lot of noise, totally the opposite with Miwa.

"Ahh, Edward, I will always love you!" some girl said.

"Boss Edward, I will always follow you!" some random guy said.

While people were screaming, a tall and handsome guy was sitting in front of the stage. He had a narcissistic smile and was waving his hands as if he was a celebrity.

Waiting for the people to stop, Professor Lurk said, "The ceremony is finished, the ten students today nominated will have the permission to enter the King's library as told before. Each student can stay inside for ten hours, they learning or not is not the academy problem. You need to make good use of the time you spent there because it's a unique opportunity."

Observing the top ten students, he said, "Now, you all are dismissed, go back to your classroom, the schedule is normal again."

After finishing, the students started to leave the plaza.

"It's over. Miwa, do you know where is my classroom? Or should I stay with you?"

Miwa didn't say anything.

"Are you not feeling well?"

"... I'm good... The students are free to go to whatever class they want."

"Really? So I'll be following you."

Hiro was feeling good, he was free to follow Miwa. Now Miwa was somewhat conflicted, she knew what kind of feeling she has, she knew it clearly, but hesitation was there too, clearly.

When they were going to leave the plaza, someone called them.

"Hey, Miwa."

Turning his head to see who was talking to them, it had to be Klein and his troops.

"Haha, it's a surprise to see you here, my friend Miwa."

Hiro didn't dare to say anything since Miwa said she wanted to solve this by herself.

"Oh, are you surprised that I could get out of that cave?"

With a thin smile, Klein said, "I don't know what you are talking about. You said you wanted to stay there for a while."

Hiro was looking coldly and murmured, "So stupid."

Klein had one goal when he talked to them, it was to provoke Miwa. He didn't spend one look at Hiro.

But, he was triggered when Hiro said such a thing.

He looked at Hiro and said, "Who are you? You're so weak and still dares to rebuke me, one of the top ten, you must be insane."

The provocation didn't take effect, Hiro was just looking fixedly into Klein's eyes.

"Are you going to keep silence? As expected of a coward-"

When he looked into Hiro's eyes, he saw a flame. Initially, it was yellow in color, then it became red, turning to blue, and finally black.

The flame became more and more intense, changing it's color a few times.

Klein took a step back, but he couldn't divert his eyes from Hiro's.

He felt the flame becoming bigger and bigger as if it would swallow him. Instead of feeling hot, he actually felt a freezing cold passing through his entire body.

"You... What are you?!"

Finally, he closed his eyes for a moment and turned his head to the other side.

"Let's leave!"

Klein and his minions rushed to leave the plaza as if they found a monster.

The system had activated when Klein was talking, it said to beat him up, but Hiro didn't want to.

Actually, the system was giving him a lot of opportunities all day, most of them were small things.

And Hiro was rejecting all of them. Most of them were unnecessary. He would only use the system with big things, he decided.

Professor Lurk was waiting for all the students to leave when he saw the conflict between Hiro and Klein.

"What are those two brats doing?"

He was going to stop them, but he realized that it was actually good for young men. They were probably fighting for a woman, or because they were enemies, who knows. One thing was certain, competition was good for the young generation, he thought.

Then, he saw that Klein was not talking anymore. "They've solved the problem?"

Well, even if they were going to fight, he could stop them easily, after all, he was a professor, he was strong.

But then, he focused on Hiro, he could not see Hiro's face, but the energy around him was changing nonstop. First, it was 'hot', then it became fiercer, one moment later it was freezing cold, this was strange.

He decided to just observe, nothing could go wrong, right?

As he expected, nothing was wrong. Klein was just intimidated by his opponent, a normal thing.

When Klein and his minions left, he saw Hiro turning his head to talk to Miwa, then he saw it.

His eyes were ablaze, not the normal fire, it was a dark, black fire. It kept changing to red, blue and yellow. He once saw someone doing this, but, it was someone from a demonic race!

"This is not possible... He doesn't seem like a demon..."

"Should I contact the principal? Or just keep silence?"

...

"Let's go, Miwa."

After Hiro sent that bastard off, he turned and saw Professor Lurk looking at them with a desperate look on him.

He didn't care, he took Miwa and got out.
